Epilogue 2

Maan was there for nearly four months with geet in US... till she recovered ... initial days were very sad for Geet ... she lost her father... her biggest support in her life... he supported her when she was in a crisis... even though Rajveer was angry on Geet for crossing the line.. and Maan for leaving get like that... but still couldn't leave her like that... he got angry ... but he didn't show it on Geet... as it would cause her more pain... he simply followed her to where ever she went... he left his life... his office.. his friends everything to support his daughter... He supported Geet as he felt.. if she is in India... she will have to face the humiliation of being an unwed mother... but it's different in U.S... they don't poke their noses someone's personal matters... and dealing Sunny is easy there... at one time he even told Geet not to move to India... anytime...

after initial days of pain.. Geet was discharged and brought back to home... she broke down after coming to home... seeing her dad's room and his belongings... Maan supported her... he stayed with her...

after a month nearly... Geet talked to Maan...

Geet - maan.. I think it's time you return to ur world... I understand... why you did that... I won't bound you with anything... you can leave... I am alright now.. and I can take care of myself... Yash and Ankita are there for any help... you should go to your family...

Maan was stunned to hear what Geet said... he thought Geet accepted him with out any thought... but he didn't expect this is running in her mind... he decided to clear...

Maan - I am with my family Geet... he declared... Geet nodded in a no... but Maan walked to her and cupped her face.. Geet.. I am truly with my family... you are my true family... you and sunny... I didn't lie to papa Geet... Nandini has found someone who love her...

Geet - but Maan...

Maan - let me tell you Geet... the person you met in Ankita and Karen's marriage is Nandini... dev's love.. whom I married for dadi ... Geet shocked... when she came to know about you... she herself came forward and filed for a divorce... It was not me... she wanted a divorce... she found love in the form of Karan again... and she is happy... Karan is very friendly... they were colleagues and Karan is a true friend to her from long time... he knows about the marriage and Devika... he truly accepted her... they are happy in their life...

Geet didn't say anything... a while later she said...I shouldn't have come to India... this all happened because of me...

Maan - no... this happened for good... Nandini and I caroused never be wife and husband ... we were not even friends... from the day one.. she saw me as dev's brother and I saw her as dev's love... so I don't think this could have survived... either with you air without you in the picture... your presence just made it easy for her and me... after meeting you only... I found out what I was missing... a true family... I love Devika... as she is dev's daughter... but I love sunny more... I have more responsibilities towards him than any other in the world... continued... and sunny has the right t b with his father and mother... I have lost you once ...This time I don't want to loose you again Geet... I did that mistake once... I survived once... but it is impossible now... my happiness is in you two... our happiness is with each other only... will you give me a chance Geet...

Geet - I don't know Maan... I don't know what to do... I haven't thought of this thing seriously.. and sunny... he is too small to understand all this... and suddenly this...

Maan - leave it to me Geet... I will tell him the truth... I will deal with him...

Maan told sunny that he is his father... Sunny being small didn't question him many things.. he was happy as he has a dad now... he was happy being with Maan...his father...

They returned to India ... Geet resigned her job... she wanted to be with Maan ... She fully wanted to enjoy being his wife...

Nandini and her husband Karan came and congratulated them... Nandini and Geet had a heart to heart talk... Nandini and Karan left for Mumbai ... Nandini didn't want to be in Delhi... and Karan agreed...

Maan registered their marriage after coming to India... they even had a court marriage with close family... Geet didn't want to celebrate it.. she considered the day Maan filled her maang in front of her father as her marriage day...she doesn't want to do it again... she didn't want any celebration... and Maan also didn't pester her... he wanted only her happiness... and with out her father.. she cannot truly be happy on the occasion... and if she can't truly be happy then Maan will feel bad.. she doesn't want any of those things...

Naina just supported Maan in what ever he did... Maan told her about his stay in U.S... she agreed... she accepted Geet wholeheartedly... Geet was reluctant first but slowly they formed a very sweet bond... Naina still felt guilty for not understanding their hearts and pushing them into so much pain...

Dadi also passed away in her sleep... after Maan and nandini applied for a divorce... she realised her decision was in haste and when they could have handled the situation with more understanding... not every decision by elder is always right... she should have listened to Maan...

Maan and Geet are happy in their small world... Geet surprised him one day... that she is pregnant... Maan was speech less for a moment... he reminded of the time when Geet was pregnant with sunny and he was not there for her... Geet hugged him happily and said... Maan... I will get my dad back... even though he agreed at that time... but later they had their silly fight... as geet wanted a son... and Maan a daughter... and naina always enjoyed their silly fights...

Maan - geet... this time only girl... I am not listening...

Geet - no... I want boy only...

Maan - how can you say that... you were fond of girls... earlier you were adamant to have girl child right... now what happened...

Geet - that's all past... I want a boy... that's it... and even maa has two boys.. so I am sure... I will have boy only...

Naina - yes Maan... I too think the same...

Maan - maa... you too...

Naina - we have a tradition of having only one girl child... and devika is there.. so I think Geet will have boy only...

Maan - no.. I won't agree... I want a girl that's it... and again their banter started...

sunny suddenly shouted - Mom .. dad... grow up... you are fighting like school kids...

Maan and Geet looked at sunny.. ignored his remark and continued... Naina picked him up and went away form them..

Maan helped geet and took her to the room... he said...

Maan - Geet.. I am not going to leave you till you give me MY GUDIA... I don't mind having a cricket team though...but I want a girl... cute girl just like you...

geet - what... no cricket team... nothing... I am done... and what is the obsession with girl child.. are you not happy with boys...

Maan - I am happy... and I will love my boys... but I want a girl... so that I can love her like papa loved you... I want to see the love for me in my girls eyes... which I see in your eyes for papa...

Geet got emotional... Maan... papa...

Maan - no.. Geet don't cry... he is happy with mama... and your tears will make him sad... and I don't want my papa to be sad... so you better don't cry.. he threatened... Geet smiled in her tears... she hugged him and slept...

Maan was doing work when he heard her murmur... Geet is caressing her bump and saying something... Maan kept his files aside and went near her... she sat on the bed and heard what she is saying...

Geet - baby... sleep... she patted her bump... ano co tuned with her murmur... plz let me sleep... I am tired...

Maan saw her caressing her bump... he understood... his child is active and is doing somersaults in geets womb... and she is tired... he caressed her bump ... he felt unknown feeling and happiness... finally after so much anguish and pain they are one family and now welcoming their new joy... Maan slowly said... Gudiya... sleep... mama is tired... Maan enjoyed with pregnant Geet... but for Geet this pregnancy was totally different from the previous one... Maan lived geets pregnancy ... he would ask her about her experience with sunny... he lived two pregnancies at a time...

Soon Geet delivered a girl... she was disappointed but seeing Maan's happiness she forgot her wish.. she knew her father will be around her and she felt... he papa granted maan's wish...Maan's happiness has no boundaries... she distributed sweets to the whole hospital... he gave bonus to his staff... he celebrated every function with so much happiness...

they named her Khushi... but Maan called her Gudiya only... he didn't want any other name for his doll... slowly time passed and Maan's Gudiya is few months...

Geet is feeding Khushi and arguing with sunny on the breakfast table... and Maan is preparing breakfast... Maan loved cooking for his Geet...

Geet - no... my papa is the best...

Sunny - no... my papa the best

Geet - my papa...

Sunny -no... my papa...

Geet - No..no... My papa...

Sunny - no... no... no... My papa

Geet - my papa... my papa... my papa...

sunny - no no no no... my papa is the bestest in the world...

and they continued to argue... Maan came out with breakfast and placed it on the table... he heard Geet and sunny arguing...

Maan - sunny... what are you arguing with mama... and don't shout... see Gudiya will sleep in few minutes.. if you shout like this she will cry .. do you want your sister cry...

sunny - no.. I don't want that... but ask mama to agree... that you are the best papa in the world...

Geet - no... my papa is the best papa in the world... you agree to that...

maan - Geet, what is this... you are fighting with him... you son... he chuckled...

Geet - when it comes to my papa... I will fight with every one... even it is sunny... she declared...

sunny - no... Nanu is best ... but my papa is bestest... sunny was adamant...

Geet didn't agree and the argument continued... Maan took his Gudiya his arms and said... Sunny.. I too agree with mama... papa is the best dad in the world...

sunny pouted... he folded his arms and turned to other side... Maan came to his side and said... sunny... see... I learnt many thing from papa... so only he is best ... than be... you can say your papa is second best... and it is not that bad right...

sunny - you learnt from nanu... how...

Maan - yes... so only he is the best ... but you have one thing ... he showed Geet and said ... you have the best mother in the world...

sunny looked at Geet... she is seeing them with a smile on her face... then he saw Naina standing behind them... he turned to Maan and said... what about dadi... is mama best than dadi...

Maan didn't expected this... Geet muffled her laugh... sunny is hard nut to crack... he will not leave a thing incomplete...

Naina came forward... and said... yes sunny... you mama is the best mama in the world... not even me ... your mama is the bestest...

sunny somewhere felt happy... at lest one of his parents is happy... Naina took Khushi from Maan and took sunny away... leaving Maan and Geet...

they stated to have breakfast... Geet murmured... my papa is the best papa in the world...

Maan - yes Geet... Rajveer papa is the best dad in the world... I wish to love Khushi like he loved you...

Geet - you will learn Maan... as daughter are easy to love and they will cherish your love life long...

To my dad... and all the daughters and fathers ...
