The Myth

The test of a true myth is that each time u return to it , new insights and interpretations arise.

A saying Or belief Or fact Or superstition Or Myth ... these words play an important part in ppl's life ,, many blindly believe or live their lives on some belief nd myths ,, from d time of d bith of a child to till his/her end some belief never left them ,, those ppl trust a priest who himself a human being nd it's also said that human is a bundle of mistakes ,, then how cn a priest be trusted blindly ? Does a priest's words r more important than an innocent child ? If yes then where is humanity , love , care nd family bonding ? Where r relations nd their warmth ? Where is Truth nd Reality ?

She was standing in a big glass covered balcony nd looking in front her ,, there wr beautiful houses in front lane nd in an open balcony of opposite house there was a couple who was romancing , hugging nd kissing each other ,, they seemed very happy nd enjoying their morning coffee from a mug unknown that someone was staring at them ,, d couple cdn't see her bcoz she was behind d tinted glass ,, there was anger nd disgusting expressions on her face ,, her eyes wr red nd fingered wr curled in a fist ,, she groaned in extreme anger nd hit d hand on frame ,, this was not d 1^st time she was watching them nd getting angry but it was happening from last month .

She .. d Geet Singh Handa or cd say Khurana hired this house after many efforts ,, for this she paid lil extra money , though she wanted d next house of those couple, but didn't get so she took this lil opposite to that house ,, it was all planned by her ,, she thought , did a good homework , use tricks , spent money to get info regarding hm nd after one nd half month she was here in Vancouver in front of him or them ,, he who use her nd rejected her openly d very next day of their marriage ,, he fullfil his family's wish to marrying d girl which they choose for him for d happiness of family nd now it's his turn to fulfil his dreams ,, that was a deal between him nd his family that he'll marry only at this condition that they wd allow him to go abroad nd he did that ,she was watching nd listening all silently , but she suspected him ,, his eyes nd behaviour was alarming her ,, there was some kind of wickedness , like he was doing everything planned nd d helplessness of family ppl wr clearly saying that there was something fishy ,, he left after using nd rejecting her,, her in-laws tried to cover up d whole matter ,, again she became d victim of grahas nd kundlies ,, again d most close person of her life discarded her for his happiness like her parents did at d time of her birth,, but this time she didn't sit quietly nd decided to give proper replies to all ,, she argued nd rejected all ,,he dumped her nd she planned to humiliate him living in front of him of her own .

But got a shock of her life coming here nd watching all this ,,here he was enjoying his live with his GF ,, he was a cheater , even his family too ,, she hate them all nd burning in revenge ,, her eyes clouded with tears nd mind with memories .. how her so called close one played with her on d name of bad grahas nd kundli doshas ,, she sat there on a easy chair with wet closed eyes recalling every bit of her life which Daimaa told her nd she herself bore.

Flash back ...

The handa haweli became alive after d birth of next gen of this Khandaan ,, though it was a complicated case but all went well at last ,, Mahinder nd Rano got their bundle of joy in their arms after 3 yrs of wait ,, 2 days back all wr very tense nd feared ,, Rano was admitted to hsptl in fearful condition ,, she slipped in washroom nd her water bag burst ,, she was 7 nd half months preg ,, all wr worried nd praying to God for her nd baby's wellbeing ,, at last God listened their prayers nd dr wr able to save d baby , but some fluied went in baby's mouth nd caused lungs infections which caused breathing prob , so Dr kept d baby on ventilator ,,, after a day d baby was out of danger, though Rano nd Mahinder met their baby nd hold in their arms , , showered their love ,but still dr kept d baby in incubator for more days for safety .

She was born with d silver spoon in her mouth ,, she filled d whole house with happiness nd smiles ,, opened d door of hopes nd happiness ,, Mahinder Handa was sitting out side of d ward ,, d most trusted servant of their family Farida was sitting lil away to him ,, both r waiting when dr shifted Rano to pvt room ,, she was in emergency ward from last two days ,, their new born daughter was still on ventilator bcoz she had breathing prob ,, d nurse informed them that d patient had shifted to room nd she told them d room no ,, Maninder nd Farida went to meet Rano at once .

Though d couple was very happy but they wr sad too not having their daughter close to them ,, Farida consoled them saying that they had to thank d Parwardigaar (almighty ) that he kept both safe nd blessed them happiness ,, d bad time had passed nd pray for good ,, d blessed couple nodded with wet eyes ,, no doubt they had faced a tough time .

There in Handa Haweli Mahinder's elder sis nd Darji wr busy in some serious discussion ,, their family priest was sitting in front of them ,, lots of fruits , dry fruits nd sweets wr in front of him along with a big glass of milk ,, he was busy in some calculation on his finger tips nd writing something on a paper ,, his face turned lil tense which alert Darji nd Pummy .

Darji: Panditji koi pareshaani hei kya ?( is there any prob Panditji ? )

Pdt: ji darji ,, kanya ne to Manglik yog mei janam liya hei ,, kasht karak rahegi pariwar ke liye ,, kundli mei kafi dosh dikh rahe hei iski .( Ji darji , d girl born in Manglik yoga , it'll be troubling for d family ,, there wr many bad signs in her Kundli )

Pdt: eska koi upaai nahi darji ,, haan bahi ke liye dekhty hei kuch Daan, pooja- Hawan ,, mujhe 2 din ka time do mai puri kundli tayar ker lu , fir aata hu, ( there is no solutions , yes for others we cn do some prayers , hawan nd charity )

Pummy: d girl started giving trouble even before its birth ,, see what a tough time Rano nd Mahi faced ,, Mahi ki kismet acchi ki koi dukh dekhne se bach gaya .

Darji: hum ,, chalo dekhty hei kya ho sakta hei ,, panditji kuch to upai dhoond hi lenge.( let's see what cn be done ,, Pt Ji'll deffo find any solution )

Pdt: jaroor darji ,, jitna ho sakega karenge ,, waise kanya bahot Dhan-sampann aur vaibhav shalli rahegi , Shani prabhavshaali hei .( yes Darji ,, i'l try my best , but there is one more think , d girl has a good yog of prosperity nd wealth ,, shani favour mei hei )

Pummi: essi vabhavta kis kaam ki jo pariwaar ko kasht de ,, kahaty hei essi santaan ka vivah bhi bahit dekh-bhal ker kerna padta hei .( what is d use of this wealth Pt ji , it's said that it's tough to get married these girls .

Days passed in worries nd tension ,, Mahi was on d toe ,, he was running between hsptl nd haweli ,, Farida was all d time with Rano ,, Rano had to go to nursery to feed baby many times a day , nd then came back ,, d baby was recovering but dr said to keep her in hsptl few morw days bcoz she was premature nd her lungs wr weak ,, d infection which she got was dangerous for her ,, mahi nd rano wr helpless ,, for d baby they had to follow d treatment .

In Handa Haweli every passing day darji nd Pummy becaming more nd more restless ,, half of their family was suffering in hsptl ,, there was no happiness for d child ,, impatient Pummy called Ptji nd asked why d family was facing this tough time ? Pt ji came after 3 days nd darji nd Pummy settled near him worried .

Pt ji: etna pareshaan hone ki avashaykta nahi hei darji ,, abhi ke liye to upai hei ,, baad ka baad mei dekhenge , jab vivah ka samay aayega .( don't be panic darji ,, for now we have solution nd rest we'll think later when she'll come to marriageable age)

Darji: abhi ka kya ? kuch jyada dosh hei kya?( what is now ,, is there some fault )

Pummy: dosh to dikh hi raha hei aadha pariwaar hsptl mei pada hei ,, kaam-kaaj sab choota pada hei , sab taraf nuksaan .

Pt ji: kanya pariwaar per bhari hei , mera matlab mata-pita per ,, uske grah acche hei per manglik hei ,, uska shani pita per kast la sakta hei , dhan hani aur upyash bhi .

Darji, Pummi: kya ??? ( what ?? )

Darji: dhan ki haani to ho hi rahi hei ,, hazaron rupae lag gaye aur beta-bahu sirf dukh jhel rahe hei sath mei hum bhi , wo bhi ladki ke liye ,, beta hota dil ko kuch sakun to hota ki khandaan ka waris hei,, upper se ye sab ,, kya kiyaja sakta hei ? ( we r losing money already ,, thousands of Rs gone nd beta nd DIL r worried nd so we here ,, that's for a girl ,, if that'll be a son then it cn satisfy d hearts that he is d heir of handa khandaan ,, what cn be done ? )

Pdji : sach kaha aapne ,, kanya to paraya dhan hei ,, use to vansh nahi chalna handa khandaan ka ,, pariwaar ke ache bhavishya ke liye kuch kuch to kade kadam uthane hi padty hein,, kuch paane ke liye kuch khona bhi padta hei .( u r right , d girl is to be sent away one day ,, she cn't be d heir of Handa khaandaan ,, for d good future of family hard steps nd decision have to be taken ,, we have to lose something if we want to get something good for all .

Darji/Pummy: matlab ??( what do mean ?? )

Pt : Darji aap logo ko ess kanya ko dur kerna hoga ess pariwar se .(u have to keep this girl away from d family)

Darji: wo ku? Aur kya ye jaroori hei ? esse kaise etne choty bacchee ko dur ker de , ye to ada hi mushkil hei , mahi aur Rano kabhi nahi manege, kuch aur upaai nahi hei ?(what for , is it necessary ?how cn we discard a small baby , it's very tough, mahi nd Rano won't agreed,, don't u have any other solution .

Pt : ye unhi ke bhale ke liye hei darji , kal kuch jyada pareshaani na ho esliye aaj hi kuch soch lo nahi to baad mei bas pachtava hi raha jata hei ki pahale kun ahi kuch socha ? (this is for them Darji ,, to avoid any big prob in their future ,or to regret , it's better to to think now .) Darji ek din to uska kanyadaan kerna hi hei abhi ker do ,, vivah to abhi nahi ho sakta lekin kisi ko daan to ker sakty ho ? apne kisi relative ko de do , vidhivat daan uske vivah ke samaya ker dena ,, ye to kuch mushkil nahi ,, darji mere gaon mei to ab tak maar ker zameen mei gaad dete ladki ko ,mai to essa paap kerne ko kaha hi nahi raha ,, use bhi jeene do aur aap sab bhi shanti se phalo-phoolo ,, mari maano to use kisis ko de do , bas wo ess pariwaar se dur rahani chahiye .(darji u have to do her kanyaadaan a day , then why not now , u cn't married her but u cn give her to someone ,, give her to any of ur relatives , u cn do proper kanyadaan at time of her marriage ,, this is nothing darji , in my village ppl killed nd buried d girl ,, I m not saying to do this sin , let her live her life nd u too live peacefully ,, give her to someone to keep her away from this family .

Pummy: lekin Mahi or Rano ko kaise samjhayenge eske liye ?

Darji: unhe samajhna hoga bhavishya ke liye aur pariwaar ki khushi ke liye .( they have to understand for better future nd for d happiness of family.

Pummy: Pt kya Mahi ke aage aur santaan ka yog hei?( Pt is there any sign of child in Mahi's future?)

Pt: haan yog to hei ,, kanya waise badi tejasvi hogi ? (yes there was signs nd d girl has a bright future .)

Darji: ab ess bare mei to Mahi aur Rano ke aane ke baad hi kuch ho sakta hei , aur pata nahi mere bacche kab tak ghar se bahar pade rehenge us ladki ke chakker mei.( we cn think about it after coming back Mahi nd Rano nd we don't know for how many days my children'll live away from home bcoz of that girl .
