Geet ran into the deep dark forest, heart bursting with the joy of the forest with the elation of the wolf within her. Her paws hit the warm earth, claws scrabbling to keep balance as she rounded a curve and saw the edge of the land that was safe to be wolf in.
Collapsing at the base of a large tree, she stretched to rub her spine along the bark, a low growl of pleasure darting from her muzzle. Sighing she put her head on her paws and closed her eyes.
"Hey. You're late." He smiled up at her, chocolate brown eyes twinkling and most handsome face she has ever seen. Startled, she froze a minute.
She watched as he sliced vegetables with competent speed. In three steps she was close enough to touch him. Feel the vibrant warmth at the back of his neck, the softness of his hair tickling her fingers. His scent is soothing her nerves at the same time she is craving for his one touch. She blinked her eyes couple of times to take a clear look at his face. She was elated to be standing this close to him.
"Maan..!" His name tore from geet painfully. Maan "what?" He put the cutting board heaped with vegetables aside and gave her a quick kiss on her soft pink lips.
Maan"Missed me?" still holding her in his arms. Maan "Aur abhi main busy hoon " Turning back to the sink, he began to peel Onions.
Maan "God, I missed you so much. But you know what makes me saddest?" still peeling the onions he asked without looking back.
Geet asked him "Maan tum yaha kya karrahey ho?" Impotent rage flooded her.
Geet "You're dead!" this is not real. I am hallucinating. He put the onion down and dried his hands on a nearby towel.
Maan "I'm dead. But not here." His warm fingers brushed her temple. Maan "Or here." said keeping his warm hand on her heart. Maan "In your memories and your heart I'm still alive. Our love lives on in your memories. But just because I'm dead doesn't mean you have to be. I've been telling you that. Why haven't you listened?"
She shook her head, tears sprang to her eyes and the pain of his loss welled up like a familiar ache. Geet "The other dreams...were you trying to tell me?" asked him confused trying to contemplate all the past incidents and dreams.
Maan nodes his head for a yes "Okay the deal is, I can't be here long. So please listen to me Jaan. You're wasting your life. Damn it, you're shutting your heart. A heart I know has room to love again. I'd be so ashamed if my death was the reason you never moved on to love another man."
Geet eyes welled up instantly again "I...there's only you. Q Maan Akhir Q? Why did you leave me?"
He closed his eyes and the room dimmed a bit. "I didn't. It wasn't like that. I had to leave, I had to die. But there's no more time. geet,. You have to let me go geet, you have to move on" His aks started to fade like a luminous light.
She felt her consciousness begin to rise, fought it, moved toward him. He took her hands in his, kissing her fingertips. Her desperation faded into resignation and then calm flowed over her. "I have to go. I'll always be a part of you, geet. But you need to move on. It's time. Promise me you will be happy and live your life like you always wanted to be promise me geet" She woke up suddenly with a gasp and looked around her surroundings.
And she was alone in the forest again. But the faint scent of him still lingered in the air and
For the first time in four years, when she walked back into the house in her human Skin, she felt whole again but still a part of her soul is missing, hoping to meet her other half soul. She has lost the hope of finding it again in this life time after Maan's demise. But Maan's persistent appearing in dreams constantly forced her to try to move on. He was supposed to be her mate but fate had betrayed her that happiness steeling Maan from her. It's highly impossible to move one with someone she doesn't love. She has imprinted on maan centuries back and he on her. Now how she will live this immortal life without a mate.
Geet "Oh Maan I can't live without you. Please come back.. Please" she cuddled up into a fetus position on the cold floor crying heartbroken.

"I want to move back into my own house Dev. I am capable to look after myself. Stop babying me. You are not my protector" geet continued to clean her weapon as she spoke to Maan's brother Dev.
"This isn't a prison for god sake geet. This is your home too. Bro wouldn't like if you leave this place. You know kaamini and kaal are still out there looking a way to hurt one of us. It's not safe for you to be back at your house on your own" dev spoke through his clenched teeth.
"I can't live here dev. I see him in every corner of this mansion. I will go insane and may hurt myself coz I can't live where his memories hunts me everywhere in this house. I promised maan that I would never do anything reckless." Geet's voice shook and became thick.
Dev was giving her glares and stubborn to let the matter go. "Loosen up dev. I am 125 years old and I know how to take care of myself. Damn it I am f**king werewolf enforcer in your team." Geet put her weapon back into the case and locked it.
Dev knew geet well and how stubborn she is. Only his brother can make her do what he wants and god knows how he tamed her wild side. Speaking of this bro dev's eyes filled up remembering his brother's last wish. He promised to protect geet and never to let anyone harm her. He is worried of her safety coz kaal is still out there looking for a way to hurt geet.
Dev "Ok fine you can go live in your house but on one condition. You have to report me back every one hour and let Aditya and vicky to stay at your outhouse so that they can protect you"
Geet "but I don't want personal bodyguards"
Dev "it's not negotiable..geet. Agree to it or you can't leave this mansion for next 200 years or so"
Geet know that dev is as stubborn as maan and he will tie her up if she refuses for the condition.
"oky fine..as you wish. By the way where is Mira?"
Mira walked into the room with two babies in tow. Geet rushed to her taking one baby in her arms. She held the baby close to her chest staring at the baby in awe.
Mira "ab tumhi sambalo isko. Kitna tang karte hain dono." Mira looked at her mate & husband dev's face. She realized that he and geet were arguing each other over her leaving.
Mira "Dev honey you making her stay here doesn't going to keep her happy"
Dev turned back to his wife. "I can't believe you're taking her side on this, mira." He began to pace.
Dev "it'll keep her from ending up dead" dev's jaw clenched and unclenched.
Geet stood and shook her head. "I'm not going to die if I'm not under your nose Every minute of the day. I appreciate your concern, dev. I love that you all want to keep me safe and protected but I don't want that. I want to be on my own." Geet kissed the babies one last time placing him in his mira's lap.
"There aren't sides here dev." mira reached out and touched his shoulder and he stopped, leaning into her. "Let her go. It's just twenty miles." Dev threw his hands up in the air. "Fine! No one listens to me. I'm only the Second and all. What would I know about security?"
Geet squeezed his forearm and stood, picking up her weapon case. "I'll take the bodyguards with me and my stuff is packed and in the car." She walked out of the room. She didn't want to argue with him anymore. If she stays there one more minute she will break down again and that she can't afford to lose herself infront of her only family left.
It was silent for long minutes until mira turned to dev. Mira "She wants to move on. She needs to dev. Can't you see that? She is still stuck with maan s memories.. Someone might be waiting for her out there..let her have the chance to live again.. "
Dev sighed and dialed a number "Vicky..get your asses to geet's house asap. I want you both watch her 24/7 and report me the progress every single hour. I can't risk her to be getting killed" A call ended.
Mira leaned into him keeping her head on his shoulder. "Everything will be fine dev. You don't worry"
Dev "I hope so" kissed her forehead and then babies. He left her in the room to make another call to report this sudden advancement.
Dev "Hello .yes she left to her house. Yes yes I made sure she is safe and protected. I already had a better security system put in at the house and her car has bullet proof Glass and reinforced doors. Yes vicky and aditya are staying with her in outhouse. okay" ." A click sound from other side indicated that the conversation is over

She wanted to writhe and beg but the top half of her body was immobile and she didn't want to move her legs. The heat spread up into her abdoman. She caught her bottom lip between her teeth until she tasted blood...until final satisfaction hit her so hard and by surprise her head shot back and she cried out.
Dimly she heard his intake of breath and the tails of his long fingers continued to tease her bare sweat soaked skin. His fingers feather touched her ribs trailing downwards.

She tried to get a clear look at his face, the room is dimly lit and a moon light coming from the window. her hand slowly moved to his face..Caressing the rough surface of his skin on left cheek. Licking her lips she searched something to say. She knew its him in deep down but she can't risk to wake up if it's a dream.
She hugged him tightly "don't you ever leave me again. I can't live without you." Her palms covered his left scared cheek and turned his face to take a better look at him. But he stopped her from kissing her forcefully demanding her to open up for his entrance to her mouth.
His moved to her shorts zip and removed her shorts without wasting another second pulling it down along with her panties. She gasped in his mouth due to his roughness. Geet "no this can't be a dream. I felt him ...I was with maan. He was here with me on this bed...making love to me" she checked herself, she wasn't naked now. She is still wearing the same shirt and shorts. She was confused between reality and dream. How is this possible? All these years she never dreamt about him making love to her except few kisses but whats special about this dream.
Someone from outside of her bedroom called her "Geet ...Geet open this damn door or else I will break this door right now no matter if you are naked or not"
Geet rolled her eyes hearing vicky's threat " Men..." she got up from bed walked to door and unlocked it.
Vicky and Aditya rushed inside her bedroom with shot guns in hands shoving her behind them.
"We heard your scream" aditya said covering the perimeter of her room checking every exit.
Vicky sniffed the air smelling a faint scent of someone apart from geet. "what happened? Why did you scream like that? Who was here?"
Geet was confused why she will scream if she was dreaming. "I don't know ..guess I was dreaming again. No one was here"
Werewolfs are very sensitive to the scents around them. They can smell any type of danger or person within 10 kilometers radius. Vicky "I am not sure...someone was here in this room but it was masked by some suppressing scent"
Aditya came back to them "No forced entry or exit. Whoever was here he knew his way around the house very well."
Vicky "are you sure geet no was here? I must report this to dev" watched with suspicious. Because he not only smelt the scent of someone but also the musky scent of two person's mingled bodies getting intimate.
Geet knew if dev knows this he won't let her stay here "no one was here vicky. I was dreaming something and might have screamed"
Vicky looked at her few seconds "Ok don't lock your door. Keep it open. We will knock if we are coming inside."
Geet "Okay but please don't tell anything to dev. He will be worried for no other reasons."
After Vicky and aditya left, geet ran into bathroom and locked it. She slid down to the door trying not to make noise. She cried silently knowing that it was all just a dream. Her maan is dead and he will never come back to her. Why she can't she let go of him and his memories. Why? After an hour she got up to wash her face. She looked at her image in the mirror. Her hair has become bird nest and her eyes are swollen. Her lips are dark red swollen and her cheeks turned into shade pink and flushed. And then her eyes widened when she saw a bite mark on her side neck. It was fresh bite which has started to heal as werewolf has a very fast healing property.
Geet "no ..no this can't be true" she caressed her face, lips and bite mark staring at her reflection. She removed her shirt to check herself in mirror and what she saw made her to gasp from shock.
Her body was covered with red marks like she used to get whenever maan made love to her. It's been four years since she felt this content. She laughed and smiled herself and walked out.
Immediately she dialed dev's number. She didn't see the time or anything. Dev picked up her call in second ring. "geet what happened? Are you alright?"
Geet "he is alive..." she laughed "he is alive...my maan is alive..Dev ...you hear me my maan is alive" taking a photo frame from her bedside table and hugged it to her chest.
Dev was silent for a moment. He didn't know how to respond to her. Geet know what his silence means "you knew it..dont you?" her raged filled voice accused him.
Geet "you know that he was alive all this along. How dare you dev? How could you? You knew I was dying every single day since past four years" she cried over phone.
Dev " I was bound by a promise geet. I promised bro that never to tell you the truth ever. He made me promise on himself."
Geet "why? Why would he do such thing? Why would he punish me like this? Its better for me to die than living without him"
Dev "it's not like that geet. Bro is as crazy as you. He loves you so much..And he felt this is best for you"
Geet "whats best for me or not is my choice not his" snapped at him "where is he?"
Dev "I don't know geet"
Geet "dev I am asking you one last time...spit it out where is he?" she growled over the phone. Her wolf is so angry that if dev was standing infront of her she might rip his head off but she don't want to hurt mira.
Dev "I really don't know geet. He calls me when he wants to talk to me. I haven't seen him since he was in hospital for months after that attack from kaal and kaamini 4 years back. He was barely alive from that attack and very badly hurt. He was hunting kaal and kaamini since then because they threatened kill you like they killed shasha."
Geet closed her hearing shahsa's name. she was geet's elder sister and mate of showrya. She was killed brutally 5 years back by kaal and his pervert wolfs. She was beaten, raped for 3 three days continuously by a gang of 10 werewolf of kaal's pack. Only she knew what shasha looked like after they left her to dead body in middle of nowhere in forest. The horror of her mutilated body and the pain she might have experienced is unimaginable. After couple of day's late showrya's dead body was also found at the river bank in the state of decomposition. Maan was the one who made her to forget the bad memories of past and the pain of losing her sister.
Maan promised her to never leave her alone no matter what but why did he have to leave her to mourn on his fake death. She wants to see him, love him, hate him, and punch him, for giving this grief. She is nothing without him and none can fill his place in her heart.
Geet cried looking at his photo frame "why maan? What's my mistake? Why did you leave me? Why?"
Geet "Dev tell him if he thinks staying away will keep me alive then I will prove him that staying away from him will kill me every second. Goodbye" She cut the call before dev say anything.

Maan watched her through binocular from a roof top of a building. he saw her crying holding his photo frame. He cursed for loosing himself. He stayed away from her for four years but he feels like it's harder than not breathing. She is his everything to him, his soul, his love, his breath. He is still alive for only her and her happiness. He have no doubt she loved him as crazily as him, but will she love him now after seeing his face and body which had covered from ugly scars. Will she love his dark soul knowing what demons he is carrying now within him?
He tried to stay away always from her but today he watched her crying in her sleep and his heart squeezed looking at her mesirabley. She has left his mansion which safest place for her. Now she is back to her house without any proper protection, open to their enemies who are waiting to attack them. He was angry at himself for being the reason for her leaving the mansion, on dev for letting her go to her house and her for being stubborn.
He managed to sneak into her house without getting caught. He just wanted to see her before going away one last time. He killed kaal and his pet wolfs but kaamini still out there waiting for the opportunity to attack him for killing her mate kaal. She wants revenge by killing maan's mate but she is not aware of geet is maan's mate. It's one of the reasons he had to stay away from her to spare her life.
But today he lost himself and surrendered to his desire to claim her again. He let himself love her the way he wants to for one last time. He risked revealing himself to her losing his senses, and risked all his hard work from staying away from her. How he missed her kissing, her scent and her soft body. He unleashed his desire and made love to her calming again and again.
He touched his face feeling the ragged scars on it, he is no more geet's handsome maan who she always had pried showing him to the world. But now he is no more handsome than an ugly devil he can't see the disgust in her eyes if she looks at his face and body. He punched the wall beside him to his helplessness by hurting his hand.
He looked into the binocular to see her face but she is nowhere to be found anywhere in the room. He checked other rooms too but she was not there too. He checked on vicky and aditya who were taking rounds around house every 10 minutes. He waited for another 10 minutes to check on them but it was odd they were nowhere to be seen. Maan got panicked and dialed dev's number.
Maan "Where the hell is vicky and aditya? They are supposed to be watching over her not to take a nap while on duty."
Dev "Bro.. I was trying vicky's number since last 10 minutes, he didn't report me so I called him but he isn't picking my call... I am on my way to geet's house." He said in one breath.
Maan "something is wrong I can't see geet either." Said in strained voice.
Dev "bro geet knows that you are alive but how I don't know. She sounded so angry and upset bro. I am sorry bro I couldn't keep the promise" he said in dejected tone.
Maan "its not your fault. You come here asap. I am going inside the house. And be careful ...bring the other enforcers too..i feel something isn't right."
After cutting the call maan shifted into his wolf form, ran towards the house howling and promising silently to geet that he is coming for her.

Geet gained her conscious when a splash of water was thrown on her face. Her head hurts badly, Last thing she remembered something hard hitting her head from behind. She was tied up to a chair; her hands are bound with silver cuffs. Vicky and aditya were laid on floor unmoving. Their heads pretty banged up and were bleeding badly; if the bleeding is not stopped soon or shift to their wolf form they may die anytime. Due to silver cuffs they can't even shift to their wolf form. Geet tried to free her hands even though her hands hurt from the silver cuff which is actually fatal for any werewolves.
"Don't waste your energy on that. Save it for my torture" kaamini walked to her chair. And held her chin in her two fingers squeezing hard. "hmmm you are one looker...no wonder he is crazy for you. But sad that this pretty face won't be pretty for long."
Geet "what do you want?"
Kaamini "I want you dead and I want to see your mate suffer in pain losing you, I want him to go through the same grief as I am going through losing my kaal" held geet's hair pulling it forcibly.
Geet flinched with pain "he deserved to be dead. In fact he deserved to die every day like that"
Kaamini slapped her "you bitch.. wait till I cut you inch by inch alive and let that mate of yours watch it."
Geet laughed "you wish.."
Kaamini punched her face twice in rage screaming "I wish so many ways to torture you both you bitch"

"There are 30 some f**king wolves here, bro." dev said hiding behind a tree trunk. "You can't stand against that many wolves, bro! I have called backup for us ..They will be here any minute"
Maan "we don't have time dev. I have to move and get geet out as soon as possible. You don't know about that woman in there, she is as crazy as kaal."
Then they heard a truck full of enforcers getting down like a ghosts in dark. Maan explained them whats his plan and when to attack the wolves outside.
Maan tiptoed into the house from secrete entrance which only he and geet know about it. He slowly climbed the stairs from basement towards the hall where geet and others are captured.
Maan saw kaamini hit geet repeatedly and his fist clenched with furry. He growled and jumped on kaamini without warning. Kaamini hit her head to the wall and fell down. Maan immediately snapped geet's cuffs and ran to vicky and aditya to release them.
Geet watched him with wonder. She just looked at him with love and hope. Maan couldn't meet her eyes. He tried to hide his scared face from her turning another side.
Geet "Maan.." Her eyes watered her maan ..is back...and before she hugs him, a Couple of wolves came inside running and saw kaamini lying on floor. They let out an animalistic growl and jumped at maan and now conscious vicky and aditya.
Geet had trained all her life for this moment. She saw a gun and picked up beside her chair and She felt no real fear as she held it in her hand, flipping the safeties off with her thumbs before aiming one hand and then the other. Wolves fell and others waded in to hand-to-hand or teeth-to-claw combat.
In the background, geet heard Maan's yells and caught sight of two wolves knocking him back. She waded through the couple of wolves to get to him, shooting, kicking and knocking the shit out of anyone in her way.
The wolves, thank God still in human form, who'd been beating maan slid to the ground, lifeless but before geet could bend to grab maan, her guns were knocked from her hands as she was sent wheeling back by a fist to her temple.
Two of kamini's people attacked, one in human form, the other as a wolf. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Maan struggle up, a smear of blood on the wall he leaned against.
Geet"Get out of here maan!" she screamed around a mouthful of blood. Setting her balance, she delivered a round kick to the face of the wolf and sent him reeling.
Maan screamed back "You get out of here. f**king crazy woman. I'm not leaving without you."
"Isn't that touching?" Kaamini said standing far away from them appointing a gun at maan.
Geet fought back harder, watching maan get kicked out by wolves. He went down and she used the wolf in front of her as a launching point to try and leap to him. The transformation in mid-air took a lot of energy but she bounded toward him, ripping into his attackers. The blood and fear of those who tried to hurt her mate only fed her fury.
All six bullets tore through the air hitting her wolf body. She pounced on kaamini breaking her neck like a twig with her jaws. She couldn't even scream and her lifeless hit the floor. Maan's hand reached out covered in blood, to caress her side, grab her fur. She whimpered and spun to snarl and protect him from any harm.
Dev and other enforcers took care of most of the kaamini's wolves outside and rushed in, geet scented their friendly. Two of dev's enforcers bent down over Maan and she licked his hand. She heard him scream her name in horror. Maan "no...geet geet ..help..somebody help..." The last thing she remembered was a white hot pain shot through her body.

Geet slowly recovered in the hours after they'd brought her back to the maan's place. She'd only changed back to human form a few minutes before and still slept comfortably in his large bed.
Maan hadn't left her side for hours, first when she was a wolf, her breathing shallow but gradually deeper and more relaxed, and then when she'd changed back to human form. He couldn't believe she was there and really all right. The fear still there and stung his senses. He couldn't let go of the memory of her on the floor lying lifeless unmoving wounded and hurt, nearly dead. Couldn't let go of her fear, her pain, that she'd been so devastated and he hadn't helped her. Would she hate him for staying away from her? Would she resent him for getting her into danger?
Mira and dev watched them, mira walked to maan and hugged him "she is going to be okay"
Maan "I failed to protect her, what type of mate I am ?" dev "You can't think that way bro,
She worries for you too. I know how she went through these 4 years without you."
Maan "maybe I should have not left her and this wouldn't have happened."
Mira"You can't change the past so stop it. Don't do this to yourself. She doesn't want you to. Blame yourself." He nodded. Bending down, he gently tucked geet's hair back and kissed her cheek. She still smelled of blood, pain and fear. When she woke up he'd personally take her into the bath and clean her up.
One week later
Geet "Hey"
Maan turned to see geet standing at the open doors. The patio led to a fabulous view of the water. He heard the birds singing and the scent of the trees and the earth hung in the air. But she edged it all out until all there was, was geet. Her eyes are sparkling with full of love, Her skin had returned to that milky glow. She wore a pretty, sky blue dress and her feet were bare. "You look like just geet ..my geet"
Geet looked at him lovingly; her fingers lingered on his scared face. Maan held her hand turning his face hiding it from her view.
But geet didn't let him; she turned his face towards her and kissed his scars slowly. "You look more handsome than before..And dare you disagree with me and stop me from loving you"
Geet hugged him crying "if you leave me again I can't live it through this time maan."
Maan held her face in his palms "because of me you nearly died!"
Geet "But I didn't and I'm alive and I need you to be yourself. All of you. Coz I love you ..i love you everything about you. It's your soul I love more not that how you look. These scars are reminder of your love to me and how you fought with them for my life" she shook her head, "...I feel so safe when you're with me and I need you to own me"
Geet "I need you maan right here..right now" said nuzzling her face on his neck and giving wet kisses on his scared side face, neck.
An anguished sound broke from him "Oh geet I love you ..I love you so much. I am so sorry for hurting you" he didn't waste a second. He undressed her and himself less than 5 seconds. And then he spuned and pressed her back against the wall. Thrusting hard and fast into her body, he dropped kisses, hot and wet, openmouthed, across her collarbone. Every few kisses he nipped just the right side of painful. One hand fisted in her hair, the other arm banded around her waist to hold her up.
"You're so beautiful I could die from it. Looking at you makes me ache. You're more than I ever imagined wanting, more than I ever imagined having. You're alive and you're mine," he murmured voice thick with emotions. She tipped her head to the side and he moved quicker than she'd ever seen him move and bit down where neck met shoulder marking, leading both to their final climax. It's considered very special when a mate marks the other like this, a badge of adoration.

Hello Everyone
This is my first time writing on one shot story. I am a supernatural/sciti-fic genre diehard fan and wrote this story long back but I never had a chance to post it. It was incomplete then coz I wrote this generally on some random characters. But recently I started writing a Maaneet story on GF and thought to make it a MG one shot. I know I am still rough at the edges to pull a story out like this but without trying I can't master my creativity. So let me know how is it? Ignore the mistakes; I didn't get much time to check it.
