My last order
'Ye kya hai abhi tak courier nahi aaya... This is height of carelessness, i should sue this website now for late delivery'
She was cursing and mumbling while walking to and fro in her living room near the door...
'Geet... Ye kya hai, aa jaega na courier, aise me jaldi aaega kya... Jao ja k apna kaam karo, time waste karte rehti ho.'
Said her mom.
Geet: mumma i just received mail of delivery, they must be coming to deliver please aap disturb nahi karo.
Her mom left her shaking head on her craziness.
Just then the doorbell rung
And geet ran to open the door... It was her first online shopping she was hell excited to receive the product and forgot all about her anger of few minutes ago for late delivery.
Courier boy: "miss geet"
Geet: yah that's me...
He was staring at her like anything...
Geet: excuse me...
She spoke to gain his attention
Courier boy: yeah... Ma'am pls sign here...
She signed the delivery receipt, collected her parcel and closed the door, hell excited to open
her parcel.
She tore open the pack and tried the product, it was beautiful kurta, she was thrilled now it fit her perfectly, she logged into her account in that site, rated the product five, and then again started surfing something new to order...
'It's fun' she mumbled to herself.
A week later...
She was again waiting for her order to be delivered, and they were late again! She had received the mail saying her product will be delivered by 3 pm and it was 5 pm already, this is heights now, she got angry...
Just then the doorbell rang, and she rushed to door, to give a good piece of mind to the courier man. She opened the door and attacked him with her words...
Geet: ye sab kya hai... You people are so careless... Always late in delivering the product, never think about the inconvenience of the customer... Do you realise how late you are...?
Courier boy: sorry ma'am... Due to festive season there is heavy order and hence late, but it will not repeat.
He replied calmly before she could spill more lava on him.
Geet: fine...
She calmed a bit, and collected her items...
It was almost 2 months and she couldn't stop her craze for online shopping and fighting with that courier boy if he was 10 minutes late even, she recognised him well now by face and voice; and so did he, she guessed.
One day she was in a movie with her friends...
And there she found him, that courier boy is sitting in the luxury section of theatre in the same movie. She was surprised, shocked...
N told her friend abt that.
Friend: geet tu pagal hai kya...
Geet made baby face and nodded in no
Friend: toh kya samjhu mai... U mean ki jo courier boy tere ghar online orders deliver karne aata hai, he's sitting here purchasing 600/- ticket?
Forget that, you seem to recognise him here in this dimly lit auditorium... Pathetic!
Chup-chap movie dekh, or let's go.
Geet nodded again... But she wasn't satisfied.
Earlier too she found that he use to dress nicely
But multiplex was not expected...
When she reached home, she ordered something...
As she was willing 2 know abt him, and waited anxiously for the delivery...
But for that order another man came for delivery...
She asked 'where is the guy who usually comes'
Delivery man: kon? Maan baba?
He is on a leave as he went to Bangalore for an interview...
She is again surprised and
Curious to know abt him
She just asked him 'do u have any idea when he will return'
He just said 'may be never if he gets the job...'
Then she was back to her life
After struggling a lot
trying hard to forget everything.
A month or so had passed when she again ordered something from the same site.
N this time he was there
And she was happy to see him
But showed nothing...
And then when he was returning after delivery
She couldn't stop herself and just asked
Geet: job nai mili?
N she was like shit,
Kyu pucha maine
He turned n asked
Maan: sorry... What job?
I didn't get u...
Geet: for which you went Bangalore
And he was surprised
To see that coming from her, he just asked...
Maan: how u came to know about all this?
To which she said 'i asked about you'
N all
He replied job toh mili thi, but they were offering very less...'
She asked 'how much'
Maan: 6 lacks
N for an MBA from symbyosis it's not enough
Hearing him she is like completely blank.
Geet: u mean the man standing here, coming from moths for delivering parcel is an MBA?
N she is just smiling
He said 'yes i m'
Geet: u r nuts...
Why u r doing this job then...?
Maan: well that's a different story...
Geet: and i will love 2 know only if u don't have a problem...
Maan: maybe when i will bring the matching sandals for your dress
Right now i have 2 go...
They both laughed.
Next meeting she just asked 'you were going to tell me today...?'
He said 'u can join me tomorrow at Nehru garden...
Morning 6...'
She is blank again as 'why Nehru garden...?'
He just smiled n said 'may be u will know better
Or we will get some time 2...'
Maan: good bye miss geet...
Geet: hey... How u know my name?
He again smiled
Maan: this is delivery no 22...
N to that she said
Geet: just kidding Maan...
They both laughed n he went away
Geet was a bit confused now
Whether to go or not...?
as she is curious as well as afraid...
N finally the curiosity wins...
She went there...
And there she was rendered shocked once again...
The guy was surrounded by nearly 60 old aunties n uncles
N there is a silent surrounding
All are doing meditation
She is just smiling standing in the corner...
Suddenly maan noticed the her...
Just waived his hand
Towards her and asked 2 wait in sign...
She said 'ok'
Wondering what kind of guy he is...
Finally the meditation session is over...
And they met...
Maan: let's walk
She is like k...
No problem
They r walking together...
Silently...
Finally the silence is broken
Geet: so what's the story
He is like what story...
Geet: story of a guy
Who is completely different
Or may be crazy
Named maan...
Smiling both of them...
Geet: so what's your full name?
She asked...
'Its maan... Maan khurrana...'
Geet: n where r you from...?
Maan: basically from south
He replied
Geet: n what u r doing here in Pune...? apart from visiting my door...
Laughter there was...
Maan: i was doing my MBA n now searching for a job...
He said...
'Ok...'
She replied...
Curiously she asked 'n what u use to do here...?'
'Just trying 2 get a diff view of life' he replied...
She was confused
'Different view how?'
Maan: just like spending time here... N also they enjoy my meditation tips
So it just went like this...
Geet: u really are an interesting character...
Both smiled...
Then boy asked some common things like about her
Study
Likes etc etc...
Geet: so what's the need behind your part time work...
Suddenly she asked...
He explained
Maan: there is no need actually
Even my parents don't know about this
It's that i like 2 be independent... N its fun too
Geet: ohh it's 8... Have 2 go... Bye...
She freaked out suddenly and bid bye
N she was leaving the garden
'Geet' he said... From behind
'What?' she asked turning
Maan: just want 2 know which no. I can contact in case main raasta bhul gaya next order laate waqt...
They laughed together...
Then exchanged
Their contacts
She went away.
From that it went like this
Online texting...
Sometimes calling more like friends now they are..
Just being connected all the time
Giving normal updates of life...
They were enjoying each other's company...
She asked once 'tell me whether i should go for red or green?'
'No matter what i will deliver that on time' he replied
'Will see that' she said...
And it was like a sweet fight...
N he asked 'what if i will deliver in time?'
She thought a little n replied 'coffee...'
And then after delivering
They went out for a coffee...
They had a great time together...
And suddenly maan received a call
He said will talk later to the caller and cut the call.
She asked abt the call
And he ignored
Now she is a bit upset
The coffee cum date is now over...
Then they went away...
She is angry sad
She don't know why
She is feeling bad...
Suddenly her mumma said
Mom: u should talk
Baat kar ke we can solve anything...
She trying 2 be innocent showing as she didn't understand any thing
Geet: what u r saying abt?
She asked her mom
Mom: its k... Text him
She smiled n went away
The girl blushed n decided to text
Him
'Hey maan, i don't know why i reacted that way... I know u may be confused... Its just mujhe laga we are close enough so that u can tell anything 2 me... Don't know why but felt bad...
Maan is now also feeling sorry
He texted back
'I always wanted to tell u all'
She replied 'well i m here 4 u... U can say it now'
He smiled n said all...
'That he was serious with a girl
She ditched him...
N because of her only he started meditation'
She is now a bit upset
Her behavior changed
She said 'u should have told this earlier'
He tried to explain a lot
But her feelings were heavy now...
He tried a lot to convince
She is not ready to listen...
It was all getting irritating now
He shouted finally
'That was my past y u r getting involved...?'
Now it's a bit serious matter...
They both r not talking 2 each other...
'Sorry' maan texted
Her
No reply
Now he is guilty
Saying sorry
Again n again..
N again..
Called
Msged
Now she is listening nothing...
After a week
Or so...
The calling bell rang of the girls door...
She came outside
There was a boy face covered with a parcel from that same courier company where he worked.
Man: your parcel
Geet: i ordered nothing...
Maan: i know but this one i ordered for u...
N i request u 2 plz accept it as this is the last order i m delivering 2 u...
His head is down
Not even looking at her...
She took the order singed said nothing... Went inside
She in order to control herself closed door then went running into her room.. Locked the door of room can't wait even a second...
She jumped on the bed
Opened the parcel...
There was a letter
Written in bold 'plz read before opening further...'
"geet...
Sorry again for my behavior.. Ab maaf bhi kar de yaar..

She is now happy n blank
Happy coz of letter
Blank coz of the parcel
She sit quite 4 some time
Then finally opened the parcel
Finally she opened that...
It was a beautiful box
She opened the box...
N after seeing the gift
She just can't stop crying...
There was a small glass heart...
Jiske niche ek paper tha
Which read
"yes i love u..."
She cried silently for some time, hiding her face in the pillow...
Then she sat up suddenly...
'Maan... Shit'
She mumbled and she rushed to open the door n there he was, standing with open arms, waiting for her, she jumped and hugged him.
He hugged her back.
'I love you geet'
She cried more, he could feel wet due to her tears, she sniffed then once and then he felt a soft brush of her lips on his cheeks... He closed his eyes to savor the moment; it was etched in their minds for eternity.
They broke apart from the eternal hug... He was smiling, and she was sniffing controlling her sobs...
Geet: hass kya rahe ho... U r not talking to her anymore...
She threatened him. He nodded and pulled her into his embrace...
Maan: sure... But you my dear, need to stop shopping online... Ager tumhe koi aur courier boy pasand aa gaya toh mera kya hoga...
Her mouth opened in O shape and she hit him continuously on his chest then hugged him again...
Geet: aisa kuchh nahi hoga... It was my last order which you just delivered.
And why were u staring at me when you came to deliver the first order...?
Maan: woh... Umm... U know it is like
He mumbled and jumbled, to which she pouted... And their nok-jhok continued throughout their lives.
So guys this was my 2nd OS (i wrote for dil se scene 2)
