NT directly went to Geet's room and found her reading some book. She went and fell flat on bed while Geet got confused as to how she came so early from college..
Geet : NT aaj jaldi aagai college se?! Lunch ki ya nahi?!
NT : Aaj afternoon session nahi hai di aur mujhe bhook nahi abhi.. Waise aap kya pad rahi hai?!
She took the book and saw that Geet is reading some interior designing magazine. Then she looked at Geet who simply averted her eyes and started moving towards her wardrobe to arrange clothes. NT got up and held Geet's hand and made her sit on bed while kneeling down and taking Geet's hands in hers..
NT : Di, I know how much you love designing and how badly you want to work and make a name for yourself in this field. Then why don't you give it a try di?!
Geet pulled her hands from NT's and said with a dry tone.
Geet : NT aisi koi baat nahi . I was feeling bored so just took some random magazine to read.
NT : Acha toh yeh batayiye ki yeh magazine aaya kaha se ghar par... Mujhe toh koi interest nahi interior desigining mein and we don't even run some designing firm.. Toh kaha se aaya yeh magazine?!
Di, Why you alway try to avoid this topic. You know I can talk to mom if you want to work.
Geet : You will not talk NT, you will simply argue or fight with her jaise hamasha karti aayi ho.. Aur maine kaha na mujhe job karne mein koi interest nahi hai.. Tumhe yeh baat kyun nahi samaj aati..
Geet got frustrated and got up and moved towards the window.
NT : Whom are you lying to di?1 to me or to yourself?!
Geet : NT mujhe is baare mein koi baat nahi karni..
NT went stratight and held Geet's elbow while turning her around and held her both shoulders in tight grip
NT : Why are you hell bent on ruining your happiness di..
Geet was shocked looking at NT's anger as never saw her behaving this violent with her.
NT left her shoulders and closed her eyes taking a deep sigh.
NT : Dii.. MAin mom se baat karne wali hoon.
Before Geet could interrupt NT stopped her showing her heand and said
NT : I promise main unse jhagda nahi karungi.. Its high time she need to understand you and consider your happiness.
Saying this NT left the room while Geet stood there wondering as to what is wrong with her
Geet : NT ko kya hua.. She has already tried bringing up this topic even before but all the times I have avoided it and she never pestered me after that. But today I have seen some sort of determination in her eyes which I have never seen before. Kyun?! Kisliye?! Kya woh sirf mereliye ya NT mujhse kuch chupa rahi hai?!
Geet stood there itself pondering over NT's words and trying to analyse her said and unsaid words.
Tonight Dinner at Handa Haveli became a silent affair. NT is still in foul mood while Dev guessed what must have happened as he has seen her coming out of Geet's room in upset state. Unknown to all this Sukhinder and Pammi are quietly having there food while Geet seemed to be worried. Now why she is worried?! Well she herself doesn't have answer for that. Is it because she has made NT upset or is it Maan's absence that is making her restless. She knows NT 's anger would cool down by tomorrow and she would back to her original self but tonight she was expecting Maan to be there for dinner and it is clear that not finding him has actually made her upset. She is now confused as to why she is feeling bad when she should actually feel relieved with his absence because somewhere she was scared that she wouldn't be able to control her freaking emotions on seeing him after many days.
Eventhough she avoided Maan all these days still some part of her heart wished to get a glimpse of him. Even today she would have avoided but then she had to come to stop NT if at all she raises the topic of her job infront of Pammi. Her heart couldn't stop from rejoicing with the fact that she is going to see him tonight but her mind mocked her and told her to keep her stupid excitement in control..
On the other hand Maan clearly avoided having dinner as he is not ready to face NT now. He doesn't know how NT would react about her body guards issue. Its true that he considers her as his sister but that doesn't mean he has right to decide things for her. What if she doesn't like his decision or what if she thinks he is interfering in her personal place. Knowing NT's impulsive nature he is expecting something violent and he is ready to explain her in a calm way if at all things turn worse. Unknown to him, there Geet is waiting to just have a single glimpse of him while Maan is worried about entirely different matter.. All these days he was dying to see her and now when he has got a chance he is loosing it himself.
Everyone had their dinner while NT gave a sharp look to Geet before leaving the table. Geet simply sighed and gave a helpless look towards her direction while Dev who was continuosly observing Geet shook his head looking at these crazy sisters.
Maan's patience finally died down and he decided to call Dev to ask about NT's reaction.
Dev is still having food when he got the call from Maan. He somehow understood that he wants to avoid NT and now called to know how she is feeling
Dev : Haan Maan!! You are missing your dinner man.. Where are you?!
Geet's senses got alerted listening to Maan's name and as if in a trance she glanced towards Dev while Dev who is waiting to see Geet's reaction grinned after getting the desired response from her. The anxiety with which she looked at Dev and how swiftly she bend her head and continued eating when he caught her eyes clearly explained how restless she is to meet him..
Maan : Ohh God Dev!! How is NT's mood?! I mean is she angry or upset?!
Dev : Chill Maan!! Itna tense feel hone ki zaroorat nahi hai.. I know this is something new which we are dealing with and I can understand your concern. But dont' worry, infact I have spoken to our client and even she liked your idea and understood why you did that , I mean why you had to change your previous plan.
Dev said not to give any hint to Geet that they are talking about NT while Maan understood that Dev must have said client just to avoid suspicions..
Maan : Thankgod!! I was a bit worried thinking that she might misunderstand me.
Dev smiled and turned towards Geet saying
Dev : Ahh Geet!! Can you pass the dal.
Now he is in play mood and wants to tease his brother telling how he again missed his chance to see his love..
Meanwhile Maan is shocked to know that Geet has finally come out and started cursing himself for not going there before..
Maan : What !! Geet is there?!!
Dev : Yes!! Infact she is dying to meet you man.. I have seen it.. I mean I have felt that in her voice while I spoke to her on phone..
Dev covered instantly as if they are still talking about client. He purposely added the last line thought it is true but he wants to see Geet's reaction as she is thinking that he is talking to Maan regarding their client and as expected her hold on the dal bowl increased and her face became tensed.
But for Maan this is like a drop of water in the middle of a desert and he closed his eyes trying to sink Dev's words and comfort his restless heart for a while. Knowing that Geet is also going through same phase a small smile touched his lips and suddenly opened his eyes saying
Maan : Dev!! Do something and make her stay.. Or or tell her that I am coming for dinner and she has to wait for me to serve.. Okay!! I am just leaving
Maan while talking itself started going out but halted his steps abruptly listening to Dev's words.
Dev : Ohh sure Maan!! Ahh Geet!! Maan keh raha hai ki woh dinner kar chuka hai.. Isiliye tum intezaar math kar uske.. Teek hai.. Tum khana khalo aur kaka ko bolo ki yeh sab clear karke sojaye woh bhi.. Good night!!
Saying this Dev calmly stood from his seat trying hard not to laugh looking at Geet's expressions and imagining Maan's plight
Maan and Geet almost have similar expressions on their face, disappointment for same reason and anger on different persons.
Geet(st) : What!!! How easily he said he already had his dinner??!!Here I am dreading to face him even though at the same time I want to have atleast a small glimpse of him and he simply said.. Agar use koi fark nahi padta toh mujhe bhi nahi.. Mujhe kyun bura lagega..
Geet thought in sheer anger and but she soon composed herself infront of Dev trying hard not to show her disappointment while Dev already caught her reaction from angry turned disappointed face...
Dev : Sorry sweetheart!! Bas kuch din aur.. Uske baad agar tum bachna chahogi toh bhi nahi bachpaogi apne deewane se.. So be ready for the rollercoast ride darling because life with Maan Singh Khurana is no less than that..
Here Maan is not in any different state from Geet first he is shocked and then his shock turned into fury but this fury is for his stupid brother..
Maan : Devvv!!!! You backstabber!! How dare you say that!!
He is pacing along the living room while cursing Dev in between
Dev : Arey Maan!! Why are you getting so hyper man.. She is going to join.. I mean she is going to come to office very soon. Tab tum aaram se apni baat samjhana usse.. I mean project ke baare mein..
He said to pour more oil in their already burning hearts..
Geet(st) : Yaha Geet ki toh koi kadar nahi aur use koi aur chipkali chahiye.. Geet Main toh tujhe pehle se hi keh rahi thi iss aadmi se door reh.. Tu hi meri baat nahi maanti thi.. Aur phir uske pass hote hi tujhe patha nahi kya hojata hai.. Ab dekha prove hogaya na ki woh kuch kuch sirf tujhe hi hota hai use nahi.. Isiliye aage se tu sirf use ignore karegi.. Agar tum aur woh ek hi kamre mein akeli bhi honge na tab bhi tujhe kuch kuch nahi hona chahiye.. Samjhiii duffer!!
Maan : Devv!! Tum pitoge mujhse.. woh bhi bahut zor se.. Yeh kya kar diya!! Maine kitne din se intezaar kar raha hoon ki usse sirf ek baar dekhun. Aaj mauka mila toh tumhari wajah se woh bhi kho diya..
Dev moved away from Geet going to his room and said
Dev : Itna kyun chid rahe ho BB.. Better luck next time.. Anyways according to your master plan she would be joining KC very soon na.. Tab aaram se dekhlena apni mehbooba ko.. Now I need my beauty sleep. So Good night.. Bye..
and he cut the call without giving Maan any chance to burst more.
Maan : Samjhta kya hai yeh Dev!! Usee kya lagta hai ki mujhe help nahi karega toh main geet se mil nahi paaunga.. Nahi main toh Geet se aaj hi milunga kuch bhi karke.. kuch soch Maan kuch soch..
Meanwhile door bell rang and Maan found Nakul standing with his dinner. He frowned knowing very well who has sent that. So he simply took the plate from Nakul and told him to leave. But Nakul stood there without moving while Maan crossed his brows.
Nakul : Woh Dev baba ne kaha khali plate saath laane keliye.. Isliye aap jaldi se khana kha lijiye aur mujhe plate de dijiye..
Maan knows Dev had sent this and if he doesnt eat then surely that drama king would do some of his nautanki. Moreover he has to think how to meet Geet and he doesn't have time to deal with his nautanki brother now.
Maan(st) : Jo bhi ho kal office mein dekhlunga..
Maan simply finished his food and gave the plate to Nakul who inturn smiled and went away. Time passed and it is almost past 12 while Maan still continued pacing in his room thinking about any other way to see Geet and cursing Dev in between.
Maan : Aur kitna sochega.. Accept that you have failed aur woh bhi uss gadhe ke haaton..
He dejectedly went and stood near his room window and saw ahead. After a moment his eyes shone and his lips twitched into a smile which soon converted into a grin..
Maan : Maan beta agar kuch nahi toh yahi sahi..
Huffing and panting he finally reached the window and looked down to see the way he came up to the second floor using a pipe while mentally thanking himself for his habit of camping and trekking.
Maan(st) : Agar kisi reporter ko patha chala ki Maan Singh Khurana had climbed a pipeline to meet his love then it would surely become headlines for tomorrow.. Mishty tere chakkar mein mujhe kya kya karna pad raha hai..
He chuckled and shook his head but soon frowned thinking
Maan(st) : Yeh saare security kaha gayab hogaye hai.. Yaha main aaram se second floor tak aagaya par kisine mujhe dekha tak nahi.. Sab ke sab ghode bechke soo rahe the kyaa.. Pehle mujhe yaha ka security badalna hoga ya atleast tight karna padega... Useless hai sab ke sab.. Maan unke baare mein baad mein sochna pehle yeh dekh ki yeh window khuli hai ya nahi..
To his relief the window is open and he silently got in and closed it again.
Maan(st) : thank god no Thank my mishty!!
He looked ahead and his breath struck in his throat looking at the mesmirizing beauty infront. His eyes slowly trailed from her closed eyes, to her button nose and finally her lips wondering if there could ever be anyone who is as enchanting as her. The dim moonlight coming from the window is enhancing her beauty all the more while he took slow steps towards her bed looking at her intently as if drinking her in, filling her features within him to his heart's content. He came near her and her features became clear and he could clearly see how her forehead has creased as if she is irritated with something or she must have slept thinking about something disturbing. Is it because of him as he could not come for dinner?! Maan wondered but neverthless he kneeled down infront of her and kept his palm on her cheek slightly caressing it with his thumb and took his another palm onto her forehead and started rubbing her skin over there to clear her wrinkles.
A small smile appeared on her lips and her worried face is now turned to a much calmer one. He slowly brought his face closer to hers and slightly brushed his lips on her forehead but soon removed them when he heard her whispering
Geet : Maaannn!!
He looked at her scared thinking whether she had woken up but soon relieved seeing her closed eyes. But when he realized that Geet had taken his name for the first time though in her sleep still his heart got engulfed with happiness and some strange peace. He slightly chuckled knowing that his mishty could dream about him in her sleep but then clearly avoid him when she is awake. He shook his head and sat there admiring his sleeping beauty with a bright smile shining his lips. At the same time a lone tear escaped from her closed eye and Maan instantly rubbed it away slightly and thought
Maan(st) : I am sorry Geet if at all this tear is because of me. But I promise you once you admit your feelings for me from that moment I will not let a single sorrow touch your life. You have to fight for the injustice done to you Mishty till then I am helpless and I cannot get you out of your miseries until you decide so for yourself. For that you need to understand my love and accept me Mishty. Then I would show you what real happiness is and then your eye would never shed a single tear and that I would make sure of it..
He sighed wondering when that day would come but soon came out of his thoughts because he does not want to waste his time thinking about their future as he want to relish his present. He took his thumb from the corner of her eye and slowly started moving it across her cheeks and then landed on her lips. He first caresses her lower lip and like a reflex she parted her lips as if recognizing his touch while Maan simply smiled enjoying the feel of her lips on his skin. Geet turned in her sleep and was about to hold his hand and Maan instantly took his hand away from her face. He is afraid that whether she takes his hand in hers then he won't be able to leave her and go.
Maan(st) : Nahi Geet!! Aaj nahi.. Ek din tum khud mera haath apne haath me loogi woh bhi aise anjaane mein, jab tum jaanoogi aur samjhogi apni dil ki baat aur khud apne dil se mujhe apna maanogi woh bhi hamesha keliye.Aur uss din ke baad mein tumhe apne se kabhi alag nahi hone dunga.. Uss din se aise gairon ki tarah nahi poore haq ke saath tumse milne aaunga chahe woh din ho ya raat.. Aur kisi ki himmat nahi hogi Maan Singh Khurana ko rokne ki phir chahe woh mera gadha bhai kyun na ho.. Tab koi tumhe mujhse judha nahi karpayega Geet.. agar tum khud bhi chaho toh bhi main tumhe jaane nahi dunga..
He softly held her palm and kissed her knuckles and then placed his lips on her forehead and let them linger there for a moment more saying
Maan : Good night Mishty!!
He gave one final glance to her and went the same way down with a feeling of contentment and slept peacefully after many nights.
