Between all the fake miles n the artificial world around I terribly miss the only smile that soothes my soul the eyes that always have millions of promises n the heart that I cause so much pain to... I know with the whole world the news must have knocked even his door too... how I wish I could hide myself in his warmth forever...

The silence of the night n the dull ache in my heart only reminded me the beautiful memories, which kept me going ...

Flash back

Running between the crowds wishing all the relatives n friends in between holding my excited heart in place I made my way to their flat only to dash into Maa on the doorstep

Geet! Glad you made it for the wedding u freshen up n come down beta I have to rush to the hall...

The house was empty I think everyone was downstairs at the function... so my legs moved on their own accord to his room ... even he would be busy with the guests... I was all lost in the feel of his room that I failed to notice the click of the bathroom door!

Turning back I found him looking so dashing in his white kurta ...

Babaji! Can't you just warn me look I'm caught now... I pouted...

Is this when you arrive? I was so nervous about the preparations n you come so casually with the guests... Great!

He said faking anger I know he was faking as I've already seen the delight in his eyes so I slowly walked near him with baby steps unable to meet his gaze n stopped near to him while he kept looking at me ... I didn't even realize when I went in his arms n rested completely in his embrace n when he tightened is grip around me...

Everyone must be waiting down u go i'll be back after freshening up!

He tightened his hold around me... I know he didn't want to leave me but it was his sisters wedding people must be asking for him by now... I cupped his face in my palm n made him look at me...

I'm here till Anu's wedding!

He looked into my eyes n I nodded my head in acceptance he gently pecked my forehead n walked away hurriedly leaving me all blushing...

I quickly got ready in my pink anarkali n walked down to meet Anwesha as I didn't meet her yet ...the lift was talking time so I thought it was better if I take the stares... so with jhumkis in my hand n band around my wrist n the other hand busy making plat of my hair I walked down the stairs on the second floor I found him talking to someone on the phone he looked at me for a while n continued talking on the call while walking towards me...he quietly took my earrings n made me wear them n left upstairs n I walked down shaking my head off his thoughts to the hall where the function was held it was her mehendi today so she was surrounded with all the guests n friends...

I quietly went from behind n hugged her...

Her face was worth watching I couldn't stop laughing looking at her I looked up to c him looking at me n patting his heart giving me a teasing smile looking every ware..

I was brought back with Anu's voice... she was so delighted to find me here ... I asked her to carry on n went to Maa if she needed some help as it was ladies function I helped all the aunties present with snacks as every one was busy getting their hands designed...

Everyone left after sometime leaving few close relatives n us so I asked every one to leave for the night n said will join them after making sure we didn't leave anything behind...after picking up the gifts n the remaining mehendi I walked back to our flat only to be gifted with the view which made my eyes moist!

Maa was feeding a almost asleep Anwesha with so much love that it reminded of me my mom who was no ware near to me...

Geet beta come what are you doing at the door n what is this you didn't apply mehendi?

Nothing Maa if I would have applied it the how will I help you...

Don't worry Maa I will apply it myself before going to bed!

After putting her to bed n making sure she doesn't spoil her mehendi I walked back to the dining table to have some thing before I apply mehendi this time I found him in place of Anu...

Maa also retired; as she was tired n was sleepy leaving me with Maan

I took my seat while he served my food n kept staring at me I some how finished my food n he cleared the table... we walked to the balcony n sat down he kept admiring me while I adored my hands with mehendi!

He picked me up n walked towards Anus room n placed me o the bed n calmly left...

I was about to sleep when I heard Anu murmur...

Babaji I wish I could burry myself some ware...

Ok... Ok... Now sleep its ur wedding tomorrow! I said giggling

She smiled widely n slept

Next day morning was the haldi n wedding at the night!

By evening we had gusts poring into our house thank god that we slept well in the morning...

I quickly got ready n walked down to help Maa n Maan in the preparations... but they rejected completely n asked me to take care of the guests in our home n Anu... I pouted at them n walked back to the stairs... looking back at Maan again n again...

As I was away from them I sighed heavily n climbed up the stairs only to bump into Maan in the second floor...I still don't understand y my heartbeats go crazy every time I see him...

I turned my face away from him faking anger... while he pulled me into a tight hug...

I twisted my lips n snuggled into his arms

Ur presence is enough Misthi rest I'll some how manage...

I came out of the hug giving him a low smile I walked back to our flat ...

Babaji I know they were tired n would want some rest but no ...y will they listen...

It was almost time for the muhurat n we got Anu ready in a pretty maroon saree n I got ready in a royal blue saree... Walking her towards the mandap I made her settled on the stage left to look after the guests... The Groom was a nice man working in some software company... n their family was also very warm

Thank you Babaji all went well I thought as all the rituals wrapped p n Anu was crying her heart out in Maan's Arms as it was the time for her bidai...

Every one left soon leaving us with only memories n time we spent with Anu...

I some how convinced Maa to have some food n made her sleep promising her that I'll look after Maan...

I entered with a plate full of food Maan's room but he was no ware to be seen... When I entered Anus room I saw him sitting in the bed shedding silent tears...

I quietly made him eat after some time I thought he was better

U go n have some rest u must me tired!

When is your flight Geet?

11:30 Am tomorrow I said in a low voice almost chocking

I don't now any thing about u or at least ware to find you! He said after a while I could clearly feel his pain...

Maan look at me... I'm Geet! Ur Misthi... Right! n u know me more than anyone else had ever known me...isn't it? N rest u will get to know soon ... I said cupping his face

How soon? He asked like a baby

Very... ok now go n sleep!

Hmm... he got up n walked to the door closed it came back n gave a light peck on my lips n left closing the door behind!

Next morning he left to work silently with out even glancing at me... while packing my stuff a small box dropped from my bag opening them I found a beautiful pair of bangles...with a note...

I raised my head to find Maa at the door... I couldn't even control my overflowing emotions...

I hugged her tightly crying while she patted my head...

Before moving out I received a phone call on the landline no... it was maan n he had only one thing to say!
