Oh yes! Anarkali is a craze these days!

If you are planning to buy it, then remember we are petite girls, dont get it too longer! I look really kiddish in the one I bought for last birthday! And it reaches the ankles almost! Compared to that the one that reached only till knees makes me look taller!

I have two more advice but take it with a pinch of salt! Coz I read it in papers! Never applied it while buying coz I tended to forget them when I go shopping!😳

Never go for one color! This is one thing even I have noticed! All the anarkalis I have bought ( I have four) dont have one color in them! One is purple with yellow and other is red with silver lining! The one in which I look the best is in silver and white but has jacket which is green making me look really awesome and the kiddish one is white, blue and red, (feel like I was wearing US or UK flag😆)

And one color never suited me so I guess they might be right! It turns out monochromatic anarkali makes a person look short! May be that is why people recommend us short people to not wear one color! I mean at least shades should wary if the color does not!

Second idea I heard is the flowyness! I dont know how else to describe it but Soha Ali Khan in what not to wear said that petite people should make sure that the flow starts from waist and not under the bust. The waist should be form fitting and then the flow should start from hips as that makes the waist looks more thinner compared to hips. It is all about creating a illusion that you are thin.😉 I agree with her. My kiddish looking Anarkali flares from under the bust and while it did not make me look fat, my curvy figure was non existent and I looked more kiddish because of that! Makes sure that your waist curves are seen!

Thats all! Best I can say is try it! And never listen to mom! For them their kids look good in everything! Take a cousin with you for shopping or best, go alone! Trial and check is the key!

she knows what suits me best
dont have any cuz there in nani place i can go with am afraid
once got this flowy anarkali with my mami
oh lord i looked like a tent in it
had lost weight and it was too loose
so had to give it to someone else
even i never go for one colour
like my blue kurti and this purple one
they have some designs in them in different thread or pattern
okay so from waist it should be flowing right
got it

Glad for help! My mom is also helpful like that! But anarkali and all, they dont notice the things I mentioned. We have to think of all that! They just see the shape and color and whether it will suit us or not! Went shopping for that yellow and purple anarkali with mom and dad for my 2012 birthday and they recommended many one color ones! But I was not happy with it! Then saw three dresses with two colors, all had yellow as base and but with green, red and purple as second color! I asked mom but as all looked good on me, she was not sure! As I am crazy for purple, I chose the purple one! So you have to keep an eye on whether they suit your height and body shape! Ask mom for color and style and all! They have awesome eye for that! Infact, whenever mom goes shopping with me for her dresses, she might choose the color and all, but I am the one who has the final call as I know what suits her body shape and all!
