Sorry For Being Late. But It's Just That, Firstly My Classes Started This Week And Also It's Ramadhan, So I Get Kind Of Busy.

CHAPTER 1

She was in the car, staring outside, as she watched her putting her hands around his neck.

That was her sister, Sameera, elder to her by almost 5 years and her, errr, maybe her new boyfriend. She really liked the previous one, he was kind and gentle towards her. Don't know what went wrong between them that they broke up. Geet was sure that it was due to Sameera though. She used to take their relation for granted. Deep inside, Geet was happy for the guy nevertheless, since as per her, her sister didn't deserve a good guy like him.

And this one, that was the first time she was seeing him. She didn't know why but the moment she had set her eyes on him, she experienced an unknown feeling. Was it because she found him handsome or was there more to it. Or was it just a mere infatuation. She never got the answer until few years later.

She watched them as she saw Sameera clinging to him and slowly drawing his face towards her before they locked their lips into a soul searing kiss.

Geet was old enough to judge that it wasn't a kiss of *just friends*. She could understand that there was something more to the whole thing but then she wasn't also mature enough to comprehend whether her sister was indeed serious unlike the last time.

Deep inside, she secretly prayed for nothing serious to be between them though. The reason? It wasn't clear to her as well at that time. Maybe because she inwardly wished for him not be her sister's.

The shrill of the applause around her broke her trail of thoughts. Maybe she had already fallen for him the moment she had seen him. Love at first sight, she thought as she let out a chuckle before joining the others in applauding for their Dean.

"Oye Geet!!! What are you doing?" asked Pinky as she nudged Geet on the right elbow.

Taken by surprise since she was in fact lost in him all the while, Geet could bring nothing more than a *huh* out of her mouth.

"What huh? Did you really think that I didn't catch you drooling over our so hot Guest Of Honour all the time," said Pinky while she let out a giggle.

Clearly embarrassed since she wasn't expecting to be caught off-guard by her BFF at all, Geet turned into the deepest shade of red while she just had her gaze down.

Getting back her composure, she turned towards Pinky before answering:

"Actually, I know him. Not really know him, just that I have met him one or two times."

"Oh I see, but he didn't seem to recognise you though. Isn't it strange because, no matter what you think of yourself we all know that once someone sees you, it's next to impossible to get you out of his mind. Haina???" teased Pinky while she chuckled making sure so one could hear them since they were still in the assembly hall.

"It wasn't as if I was expecting him to for that matter," Geet said with a laugh before continuing, " Besides, 10 years is quite a long time and then we didn't know each other that well. Actually, he was, ermmm, he has been Di's boyfriend. From what I know, they had been going out for some time." she finished saying with a tinge of sadness in her voice. "Anyways, leave all this and rather pay attention to what is being said," she added.

"Excuse me Miss," came a call from behind. Geet could swear that she literally froze in her place at that moment as she stilled and stopped walking along the corridor.

Slowly, she turned around only to meet his gaze which she felt pierced her soul. Such was him impact on her. Alas, if only he knew, she sighed.

"Yes," she managed to let out.

Dressed in black formals and his long-sleeved shirt, well tucked into his trousers, a watch along the left wrist and rings adorning his long sleek fingers, Maan looked utterly handsome. His body was more toned, Geet noticed. At that point, she couldn't help but imagine how would he look like without his shirt on. As images of the famous Greek God Geet has always been reading about from romantic novels flashed before her, she could bet her neck that her cheeks were turning slightly red just like wild cherries.

"I think you've just dropped this," Maan said non-chalantly as he handed a purse to her.

Did she actually just feel something electrifying, Geet questioned herself inwardly as their hands touched while taking her purse from him.Geet was more than certain to have felt a strong pull as they stood inches away from each other.

"T-t-th-thank you," she said feebly.

"Pleasure was all mine. And yes, Congratulations once again," he said while flashing a smile to her.

Letting out another quick Thank You, Geet immediately turned to the opposite direction to move away from there the quickest possible - rather away from him.

No sooner had she turned her back that Geet sensed a strong hand on her shoulder. Turning her around, Maan asked her that one question that she was least expecting from him.

"It might sound cliche, but why do I feel that we have met before? Even your name sounds familiar. Geet!!!"

Geet fumbled not knowing what to say. Should she tell him or should she not? Anyways, she never did him wrong. So, why was she hesitant and scared. Could it be that she feared that he might still be feeling something for her sister? But then she remembered having overheard her Di's conversation with Dev where she told him that they had broken up. She never got to know what went wrong between Maan and her sister but from what she recalls, Sameera never grieved about this. Maybe, they, indeed, were never serious about their *relationship*. It could have been just a fling, she thought.

"Errr, I, we, ummm..."

"Could you please let me know your full name once again? That is, if you do not mind obviously."

Gathering all her wits, she finally said it in a half-whisper ;

" Geet. Geet Handa!!!"

Wonderful start.. What happened in past... Hope maan doesn't put geet in the same category as her sister... Looking to see what happens next

Maan too doubted that he has met with Geet before n I think knowing Geet's full name he will surly recognised her.
