Wow! I did not know ija was also a way to call mom. I actually try to remember all the ways to call mom and dad in every language and use it in my daily life. I dont know how many names I have used on them! Even they get confused sometimes as to who am I calling exactly?
In tamil, dad is appa and mom is amma (which I so rarely use that I had to think twice while answering the question😳😆). Daadi and Naani have same moniker - Paati
and Naana and Daada are Taataa. (T is pronounced lightly like the letter 't' in hindi as in the way we pronounce t in taal)
So amma and Baba are grandparents and Ija and Babu are parents, right?
