not sure, you can try with the URL forum code..

also, you are few posts away from groupbie..you can fill in the posts to become groupbie and it will definitely work.

Now, how to add link to a specific post

For a post you can see a world image/attachment like icon to the left of the Report button (on the top right of every post)

1) Right (remember this is right click and not left click) Click on the Pin/attachment image like icon. (This icon appears to the left of the Report button). Copy the link Address

When I am right clicking on the attachment icon of my post there is no drop down box with the option of copying the link but that is not the case with other's posts. Could you help me with this ??

does clicking on that attachment have to be immediate or can it be done later ??? I mean is there a time limitation ??

Are you a writer? Is your thread copy protected, if yes, then right click may not work.

I think it is time to update the steps for this scenario.

(To know what is copy protected - check the page 2 of this thread)

Right click options are the normal web browser options that come for any link on a web page - like copy link location, open in a new tab..etc.

if you are on mobile or even laptop user, there is an easier way in below steps ---

1) Just click on the pin/attachment/chain/clip like icon, (left click or standard click which you do on any link or button)

(the pin/attachment icon is nothing but a link to the post..so same page will open/refresh again when you click on it)

2) Check the link that is showing now in the browser address bar (on top of the web page in the address bar of the browser)

3) the link in the address bar of the page/browser will be something similar to below sample format

http://www.india-forums.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=4013931&PID=147243283&#p147243283

(TID is Topic ID, PID is Post ID)

4) This is the direct link to the post

(This link will remain intact even if page numbers are changed due to post deletions)

5) Copy that link from the address bar and Use that to create a link in your post

6) How to create custom link is detailed on Page 1 last posts

Hyperlink Window will pop

If u ll add just link without writing any text post . Something like this will appear it also works.

But more than just making link if u want to make some text as link then first write the info. Like Title of your post or On which page what info u posted. For example if you are writing a story n Chapter 1 is on Page 10 . Write like

Chapter 1 Page 10

in any font size or colour . Highlight it clicking curser over it. Then click on hyperlink button and there same text will appear but now replace it with post link address and click ok. Then this text will become a link instead of just post address. U can modify it any text size or colour even after doing all process. Sometime size becomes a bit different if you shift this link while adjusting position. Then again highlight it and chose ur favourite font, colour etc. It ll be same than.

Most importantly while adding text in hyperlink window u will get two choices http and https . Keep it in mind if ur post link is in http like in this page link. its okey

If u r posting the link from some other blogs etc they generally comes in https then u also have to choose this option in drop down choices . Otherwise link will not work

Even I did not know about, highlighting it for custom text while using menu for link

ur welcome dear, what text u want to use for making a link, write it in any why , font size so n so. Then to highlight it most important before clicking hyperlink icon. Same text will appear in the box.Then deleting it paste the Link of post. It ll make text a link instead of just link address. http n https choices r most important if the link u r using is http or not secure sites use same http choice. But if it is from some secure site or blogs it starts with https. Then https choice frm drop down menu is compulsory otherwise link will not work.

However u r active member n I know u r familiar with all this.This is just for new people.
