TEASER

He had argued with Dev that he did not need a room, that he would be flying right back to Delhi. Dev had countered that the client had some more paperwork which would only be signed after the deal had been reviewed by their board of directors. So here he was stuck for the day, far far from where he wanted to be. He would not have minded being stranded for a year if Geet had been with him. After all, it had been his wish to spend his day with her here.

All day long, he had a strange vibe of her being near. He was going mad, he decided. She had finally made him completely insane. Outside, the weather was wonderful. The penthouse suite that had been booked for him had stunning views of the mountains above and the valley below. Flowers bloomed everywhere.

He could go out, wander around Manali but he did not feel like it. It was as if a fever was consuming him.

His room boasted beautiful furnishings yet he longed for the cot on the terrace in HP with Geet beside him. The living room of the suite was decorated elegantly and included a new fangled piano; one which came preloaded with songs. He decided that maybe he would play something on it. Music always soothed him.

He shrugged off his shoes and socks, tossing his tie to one side over the files and papers he had come with. Unbuttoning his shirt and placing it to the other side, he sat down at the piano. In his restlessness, he went through the song listing on the piano and picked out an old favorite. The words matched his sentiments. The girl's name in the song was Melissa but he would sing it for his Geet.

His long elegant fingers twirled lightly over the keys, jabbing them as the song started and he started playing it.

He closed his eyes and thought about Geet. His fingers started caressing the keys of the piano to bring his thoughts from his heart to her. He pictured her shiny eyes full of love, the softer than soft lips, the mischievious dimples in her cheeks. The words poured out of him.

Spirit moves me
