Hospital

Maan was waiting in the waiting room of Sahil's cabin. Veer and Geet walked in a few minutes later. Maan noticed that she was scared. Apparently from what he heard from Veer, her normal consultations were sometimes painful. That was the reason she was scared. As she walked in, she smiled at him. Maan got up and hugged her lightly and kissed her forehead. "It's going to be ok. Don't worry." He whispered.

Geet smiled at maan. "I'm fine," she told him. She knew she was going to be fine. She wasn't a small girl visiting the gynecologist for the first time. Then she saw sahil come out of his cabin. He walked in their direction and gave a huge smile to her on the way.

"Look who I am seeing after such a long time." He said.

Veer and Maan got up and shook his hand. "Ok, come on in"

The three of them went and sat down in front of his table. Sahil took his seat and got her reports out. "So geet, last time I checked you was 4 months back. Since then, you've been taking the medicines regularly I assume?"

She nodded yes and Sahil gave her a wide smile again. "Ok then. Go inside the consultation room, the nurse will be there. I'll talk to your brother and Maan."

Before she left, he stopped her. "By the way congratulations Geet, both to you and maan."

Geet glanced at maan and smiled. She said thanks and went in.

"She's scared Sahil. She hasn't said a word since she woke up this morning!" Veer said.

"Don't worry. I will take care of her." Sahil assured him.

"Try persuading her again" veer said.

"Yes, I will. But you already know her answer. Your sister can be very stubborn sometimes Veer!"

"Yeah, If only I could make her listen to me"

After Sahil left, Veer told maan about the surgery both he and Sahil had been trying to convince Geet about.

Geet took off her clothes and changed into the hospital gown. She was used to this now. She's been a regular patient since she's been 16. First because she was anemic and then after that, because of her endometriosis. She never visited anyone else except for sahil. He's known her for a long time now. He was one good doctor. But still she was scared like all girls who went to visit the gynec for the first time.

She went and sat on the exam table. When Sahil came in, he sat in front of her on his chair and started asking her questions about when was the last time she got her periods, how painful it was and whether the new medicines reduced the pain.

"It was less painful last time I got it. But I had to get the injections too. It hurt too much otherwise." Geet said

"Hmmm. And do you feel too weak or you still do your normal work."

"No, I skip college. I stay at home." she said in a quiet voice

Sahil looked at her for a while and studied her. Before he started talking, geet started before.

"I wont do it Sahil. Not right now." she said, trying to keep herself as strong as she could.

"You could make this stop geet. The surgery I'm going to perform will involve taking out only one of your ovaries. You go through too much pain every time geet. Its not worth it. You know you will still have the chance to conceive." Sahil said.

"Yes, but it will be less. Now itself the possibility is minimal. If I let you do the surgery, there won't be any chance."

Sahil sighted. He got up and went to get the nurse. "I'm never going to be able to convince you geet. You are too stubborn." After a while he walked in with the nurse.

"Ok lie down. Since 4 months I haven't done any internal checks. I want to do that right now. After that we have to set an appointment for an ultrasound."

Geet lay down on the table. She knew it was going to hurt. It always hurt.

Maan was sitting with Veer inside Sahil's cabin. After a while he saw geet coming with sahil. He was holding her hands. Her face was pale.

"Can you walk?" Sahil asked her. She nodded her head. Even then he led her all the way to him.

Geet came to his side and he put his arms around her. He bent down and whispered in her ears "Are you ok?" geet gave him a reassuring smile.

He made her sit down on the seat next to veer and he remained standing. Sahil took his seat and looked at her reports.

"We have to do an ultrasound to see the progress. If it's still hard to tell, then I'll perform a laparoscopy. Right now I can't say anything about what's happening just by doing a normal check up; especially with her I can't do a lot. I will hurt her. She's supposed to have her periods soon enough now. Continue with the same medicines and injections veer. Make sure she has her vitamins. I'm going to set her appointment for in two weeks." Sahil closed the reports. "That's it for now. Then he smiled at geet. "You are fine geet. Just make sure you listen to Veer," and he looked at maan "and now Maan and take your medicines on time."

Geet returned his smile and nodded.

Once outside the hospital, the three of them headed towards their cars.

"Maan, drop geet home. She can rest. Tomorrow we are leaving for Goa, so I'm going to get some groceries. Is that alright?" Veer asked

"Yes. Go ahead. I'll drop her." Maan said.

"We can all go. I'm fine." Geet complained. "I'm not sick!"

Veer sighted. "Ok, if you want."

Maan wanted to spend that time alone with geet so he cut him off.

"No, you go alone. I'll drop her. She needs to rest."

"I told you I'm fine! I don't need rest!"

Veer knew that maan wanted some time alone with her. "Geet listen to him. Go home. Save your energy, we are going to have a long journey tomorrow, Ok?"

She finally agreed and went with maan to the car and they drove home.

When they arrived they both went into the kitchen. "I'm starving!" Geet said.

"Let me see what I can prepare! Sit down over here in the meanwhile!" he lifted her and put her on the slab

"I can help Maan! I know where everything is kept!" Geet said.

"I also know sweetheart. I've been visiting this house for quite some time now. Things never change when Veer is around!"

Geet smiled. Her brother was one neat freak and orderly person when it came to his kitchen.

"What are you making?" Geet asked

"Chicken pasta...I know you like it!"

"Yeah, I do!" she said smiling

They had lunch and then they went in geet's room. She had to start packing her stuff for their trip. Maan lay on the bed while she was putting her clothes in the bag. "Come here geet. Come have some rest"

"I don't need rest Maan. I'm not tired."

"You just had a check up today! You can do this later"

" I want to finish this Maan. We are leaving early tomorrow. If I don't pack now, I will forget important stuff." Maan rolled his eyes and continued watching her. after a while he fell asleep. When he woke up, geet was sleeping besides him. She was looking pale.

He shook his head. This girl is stubborn. She was tired. God knows what Sahil did to her in that consultation room and even then she wants to pack rather than rest. I wonder how Veer takes care of her sometimes. He started getting up slowly not to disturb her. But she opened her eyes and looked at him.

"I thought you were sleeping!" Maan said

"No I was just lying down." She replied.

Maan lay down on the bed besides her and gathered her close. He nuzzled her hair and kissed her behind her ears. "You smell good Geet" Geet closed her eyes. He continued dropping kisses along her neck and jawline.

Maan stopped and looked at her. Her eyes were closed. He kissed her in the corner of her lips. "Do you like this?" he asked with a heavy voice.

She nodded.

He kissed the other corner. "This?"

She nodded again.

"And this?" Maan took her lips slowly. He kissed her slow and gentle and this time geet started responding immediately. Licking her lips before sucking it, he slowly moved on top of her and slid one hand behind her head to drag her head closer and one hand slipped inside her shirt. He continued kissing her breathless. Geet gasped and he thrust his tongue in. The kiss was passionate. Slowly Maan started moving down. He kissed her jaw, her neck and geet arched her back and neck to give him space. He nibbled his way down to her throat. They were both lost in an alternate world.

Suddenly he raises himself off her and said with urgency. "Let me take out your shirt"

Geet lifted her shirt up and he helped her remove it. She was wearing a black lacy bra. Maan turned her on her stomach and moved her hair in the front. He kissed her shoulders and slowly unhooked her bra. He continued kissing her neck and then sucked on her earlobes. Geet moaned feeling so much pleasure. Then he completely removed her bra and turned her on her back. He removed his shirt and went on top of her again. His large frame almost covered her small one. His hard chest was pressing on her breast. He regained his composure He lay down on her for a while. Both their eyes were closed. "I need to stop" he said with a heavy voice. He was breathing hard. Geet hugged him to let him know that she was in this too. Maan opened his eyes and kissed her forehead and then he lay on his side. He gathered geet into his arms and dragged the sheet to cover them.

They lay in silent for a while. Then Maan glanced at geet. Her eyes were closed. He rubbed her arms and she turned sideways. He spooned her from behind and held her.

"Are you ok?" he asked

Geet smiled and nodded. "Hmmm. Never felt better." She said

Maan kissed her hair "I'm glad."

After some time, maan spoke. "You looked so scared in the morning today Geet!"

"Yeah, but I'm glad it's over." Then she turned around and faced Maan. "Next time please come with me inside." She said looking expectantly in his eyes.

Maan caressed her hair and smiled. "You should have told me. I would have come inside today too. But it's ok, next time; I'll be there. I'll always be with you now."

Geet turned sideways again and went into their previous position. "You're such a strong girl." maan whispered in her hair.

Geet couldn't help it. Her eyes became teary and few tears dropped down her face. She was so happy to have maan by her side.
