Maan was looking at her with the disgusting look, and he can't believe still that this innocent face could lie, one thing Maan hated more in his is lying, Geet was unable to see that look in his eyes, her heart was crashed and she still don't know why she was feeling this much pain for hurting his heart, Geet wanted to say everything to him, even if he don't believe it, she gained all her courage but before she could speak Maan spoke up,
"Why, why did I believe your words, why did I think to help you, why did I let you fool me up, why, looking at you, I only see my stupidity" Maan said and Geet looked at the pain feeling eyes shining at her, "I wake up early, went to Amritsar, made my PA to fax me up the documentation copy and came to your house, to make myself look like a fool, to be blamed, to be insulted, to look like an womanizer, a kidnapper, a rouge, Thank you, Thank you for teaching me an good lesson, that an innocent face will not always have an innocent heart, and so not to trust anyone, specially a sweet touched girl," Maan yelled up,
Geet was hurt to the core by his words, his pain was making her dead inside, she can't see this, she can't, "Ji, O," Geet started and Maan placed his hands on her mouth blocking her words, and Geet looked shocked by his move, she looked at him as his hands pressed up on to her face, "Enough, I had listened what I should," Maan said and Geet eyes filled up, not by his act but by his words, "I still couldn't believe that you could lie," Maan said as he looked at her, "This big eyes, I thought what I am seeing in this is childish craziness but it was all venomous,"
Geet couldn't bear it up, thought she knew she deserved it, stood still, pleading with her eyes, Maan slowly took his hands away and looked at her eyes pouring out, it made him more angry, I never knew that you could be a back stabber, till now I hated you for your craziness, but now I hate every inch of you", Maan steep a bit closer and looked into her eyes, "I hate you Geet, I hate you," Maan said, killing her heart totally and went away,
Geet saw him getting into his jeep and drove away and she feel on her knees near the tree and started to cry high, she felt like her world is been destroyed, she don't know why but she cried, unmindful of the place and people around her and she cried out loud, for a few long minutes, and after the few minutes, she calmed herself and went away to her home, Geet's mom saw her walking in with empty hands and her face was a mess,
"Geet what happened," Geet's mom asked shocked, "Nothing, nothing, Geet met her friend in the bazaar and I guess they had a fight, so leave her alone," Breej said as he already got a phone from his guy who was watching Geet, and he was happy with what he heard, his guy had informed the conversation happened between Maan and Geet and how angry Maan was on Geet, "now, Maan will never see her face again," Breej thought,
"Geet go and get some rest, forget about your friend," Breej said and Geet felt an relief now, as she didn't say anything against Breej to Maan, as now she knew she had been followed and if she had said anything, don't what would have happened, "Thank you Baba ji," she said and rushed to her room and closed the door, and jumped on to her bed,
But she can't forget Maan's words and the pain and the hated towards her, it killed her, crushed her soul, "he can't think about me like that, he had to know the reason why I said so, if for his good, I said like that to save him from Breej Veer ji, I didn't mean to hurt him, I was just trying to protect him, I didn't mean anything," Geet cried and decided that she would somehow explain herself to him,
She went and looked down the balcony but the guy Breej appointed for watching Geet was standing down the balcony and Geet went inside, "Baba ji, now how will I go out now, how will I prove myself to him now," Geet thought, but her mind asked her strange question, "why should she prove herself to him, now she is trapped, and Maan will never believe her, then why is she feeling the urge to prove her innocence to him," Geet mind asked the questions for which she never had any answer yet she wanted to prove herself,
It turned night and Geet came to her home after having her dinner and looked down the balcony and the guy was still standing there, "Baba ji, please," Geet prayed and she saw Breej walking towards the guy and so she hide herself from his view, "Oie, it's late so go home," Breej said to that guy, "But Veer ji, Geet," He asked puzzled, "don't worry, Geet will not go anywhere in this dark night, she is afraid of darkness and even if she go, she can go only to see that Maan, and from what I heard, Maan is so angry on her, he would even kill her,"
Breej's words made Geet to tear up and also was scary, "Ok Veer ji, I will come in the morning," that guy said and went away and Breej to went away, Geet waited for a few more minutes, her heart was beating high, she went and locked her door inside and jumped from the Balcony and rushed out, she now understood what Breej said, it was an no moon day, it was dark, she can't go inside the village too, someone or even Breej would she here, so she took the field areas, and went thru it and it was even more scary at night, yet she had to see Maan, she decided and walked slowly and went to his dwelling place,
The door was opened and she went inside slowly and he was not there, Geet went inside the house and also found the back door opened and went through the door and saw Maan and stood frozen up, Maan was pouring his anger out in the cutting the fire woods, he looked so scary with the fire burning high near him and the flames dancing on his shirtless body, Geet looked at down as she saw him,
Maan felt an presence near him and looked up, and saw Geet standing there holding her heart and looking scared, Maan walked up and took the vest from his Jeep and wore it, and turned towards her and looked at her, "What the hell do you want" Maan said between his teeth, "you family had been talking like you are an small kid and I was some kind of beast trying to get hold of you, but here, you are walking out in the dark to meet me, what do you want actually," Maan yelled,
"I need to tell you why I said like that", Geet said and Maan turned around and gave an evil grin, "I know why, because you need to protect yourself from your so called pride filled family and didn't want to destroy your good girl image and you don't care a bit about the person who was taking all the blame because of you, you selfish creature," Maan yelled, "No, No," Geet said, "I said like that not to protect me, but to protect you," Geet said
Maan grinned more, "you were trying to protect Maan Singh Khurana," Maan asked, "From whom" Maan asked, "From my brother," Geet said slowly, "Enough of your stories Geet, enough," Maan said, "No I am telling you the truth, trust me" Geet said, and Maan's anger provoke, he turned towards her as his anger hit him, "Trust you, you want me to trust you even after you lie straight to my face," Maan yelled,
"Please, believe me, I am not that kind of person," Geet pleaded and Maan turned around and walked up, "I don't care what kind of person you are or hear anything from you, just get out," Maan yelled, "Ok, I had said the truth, believing it or not believing it is your choice, but I promise on my Baba ji, that this is the truth, you have seen me and also saved my life many times, and do you really think I would have said like that if I had a choice,"
"If it had been my life, I would not have cared for an minute, but I can't put your life at risk," Geet said and Maan turned around and saw her all teary eyes and pleading face, "I am not that bad to betray my life saver, I am not, and I am sorry for everything that happened and you have all right to hate me, I am sorry," Geet said and went away, leaving Maan confused with her tears and words, is she telling the truth or fooling me around, Maan thought,
The whole night Geet was crying and then went to sleep, the next day started with fresh for all again except Geet, yet she tried to be normal, Rachi was feeling for Geet, she knew everything that happened but she said she will not help Geet, as Rachi loved Geet more than anything and doesn't want to put her in danger and Rachi knew how desperate Geet was to help Veera and she was so shocked and confused of what happened yesterday, from somewhere in the corner of her heart, Rachi felt that Maan wasn't lying,
Rachi didn't get an chance to speak with Geet yesterday and so she decided to ask her today and went towards her room, "o, that Balveer," Breej's voice made Rachi to stop and she went towards his room and saw Breej speaking on the phone, "Look, we have no interest in that stupid guy and his life," Breej yelled, and Rachi listened carefully, "No, Not now, we don't want anything to go wrong before your sister's marriage, once, the marriage is over, than we can kill that useless guy,"
Rachi was shocked and can't believe what she heard, Breej was so coolly saying this as like it was nothing, Rachi heart started to beat high and she felt scared, "no, we can't let him loose after the marriage as he might created some problem, he might go to police or say to his village people, we don't want any problem here, so killing him is the only way to get rid of all the problems and keep everything normal," Breej said and then he cut the phone
Rachi was shocked, Killing someone is something she can't bear, that too someone she knew, she had meet Balveer with Veera and Geet twice, he was an nice guys, so soft natured and all smiling, a flash of his face came before her eyes and Breej wanted to kill him, "no, Veer ji can't do like that, no," Rachi thought and rushed to Geet, Geet who had her lunch was sitting in her bed when Rachi came in and locked the door behind them,
She was sweating high and looking nervous, "Rachi, what Happened," Geet asked worried, "Didi, we have to save Balveer," Rachi said in a rush, "We can't let him die, he is an nice guy," Rachi poured out and Geet hugged her close, "Calm down Rachi, Calm down, relax," she said hugging tight, and Rachi too relaxed, and she slowly pulled from Geet, "now say what happened," Geet asked and Rachi slowly said everything shocking Geet,
"Baba ji, what will we do now," Geet said, "There is no one to help us now," she said and suddenly her mind thought about Maan, "Maan," she said and Rachi looked at her confused, "Maan ji," Rachi asked, "Yes Rachi, he is the only one who could do something" Geet said, " will he, after all that happened," Rachi asked, "Rachi, he may be a tough guy and anger filled but still he has some values and humanity in him, if I could say him the truth," Geet said and looked sad,
"But I am too locked inside, and Breej Veer ji is watching me always, I could never reach him and he is so angry on me that he will not listen to me that easily too," Geet said looking upset, "I will go," Rachi volunteered, and Geet looked at her surprised, "Yes didi, I will go, no one will have any doubt and he will listen to me," Rachi said and Geet nodded an ok as there was no other way, "do one thing call him and tell him everything, he is in our guest house only and call there and say him everything, or else he will be in the Balveer's field, and look, he might yell but don't get scared, he is a good guy only,"
Rachi nodded and went out saying an ok, after a few minutes of freshening up, Rachi said she is going to meet her friend and went out of the Handa mission, and went towards the Bazaar and walked towards the telephone booth and went inside and called dialed the guest house number and waited but there was no reply, "Baba ji, why is he not taking the phone, may be he had gone out to the field," Rachi thought and turned around to saw Breej walking up into the Bazaar,
"Baba ji, Veer ji" Rachi said and hid herself inside the booth and sat there praying for Breej to go away, Rachi slowly looked up and saw Breej walking a few feets away from the booth and so she slowly opened the door and rushed away, but she stopped as she saw Veera's brother, "Baba ji, now what will I do," she thought and went and hid herself inside a shop and waited for him to cross him up,,
Rachi's heart was beating high, and she was praying up, and was looking at the road, suddenly she felt someone tapping her shoulders and her eyes filled up in fear, "Veer ji," her tears ran down, her heart beat high, "I am dead," she thought and her fear filled her face and eyes was pouring so much,
