A good hunter stalks his prey before he attacks. He bids his time and doesn't strike at the first available moment but patiently waits for the right moment.

The wait, the anticipation, adds to the thrill the hunt brings and is as much a part of the final kill as that last fatal blow.

And he was a good hunter. He'd stalked and waited. The right moment was so near he felt the anticipation burn his veins, flow in his blood.
