Part 2

"doctor, I need a doctor" he shouted as he walked inside the hospital with that girl in his arms. All the people there looked at him in shock, thinking him as some mad, as he shouted at attendants to call the doctor. He himself was in mess, his clothes were covered with blood, and he looked pathetic. Soon the doctor came and examined the girl who was lying on stretcher; he examined her wound and declared her to be serious.

"sir this girl is very serious, we need to operate her soon. But her wounds says that she is tortured and badly injured, thus we have to wait until police comes as it is a police case" the doctor said grimly as he looked at girl's condition with worry.

"doctor I don't want you to worry for anything, just medicate her, don't care for money or anything else, just take care of her" said maan tensed as he rubbed his forehead in worry.

"but still I will have to inform police first, I cant touch her before that" doctor said with a sorry face while maan just burned in fury. The hypocrites doctors can let the patient die but wont do their job until police comes.

Soon they saw an inspector with two other officers standing on the reception enquiring about any accident case. Maan met them and guided them to the girl and said, "I am maan singh khurana, I called you to tell about this accident which happened and, but before that ask the doctors to do their work, the girl is really serious" he said in his angry voice, his eyes practically glaring at the peoples who just cared more about the formalities than someone's life.

Soon the operation started and police took his statement about the accident. He told them that he was driving on the chasm side, when out of nowhere she came running and dashed his car. His each word was precise and confident, oozing the attitude and power he carries, but only he knew how much suffocated he felt at the moment.

Soon the police gave him his space as he had to stay back in hospital as there was no other person for the girl. The operation was very tedious, as the nurses informed him and a critical brain surgery was taking place. Some specialist was also looking at the operation. Every now and then the attendants would run inside with trays of medicines and other medical equipment while he looked at them scared, dazed, lost.

The situation seemed so similar, his suhana being rushed to hospital after that deadly accident, while mansi couldn't even cope up till hospital. His eyes were in tears as he relived those moments. The little girl was so brutally injured that she died in the ambulance itself in his own lap, while suhana was rushed in another ambulance.

Then too these formalities delayed her operation, doctors were busy, police took his own time to reach hospital, all his power and money was useless then... a man of wealth and power couldn't protect his own family. And then finally the operation took place, one side his heart died as he saw his daughter being getting ready for the cremation ceremony, other side his dadima got disturbed in health due to all the commotion and their love of his life was fighting for her own life.

Those few hours just changed everything in his life, has any life left even now!!! Nah.. he isn't alive anymore its just the organs which are working, his heart is long dead. Doctors declared her dead too after the operation and in those few hours he lost his everything. He wiped off his tears as he tried to control his emotions, no he can't be weak, not in front of others... he is strong, he will face it off too.

"mr khurana" the doctor called breaking his reverie. "doctor how is she???" he asked with croaked voice. "sir as we informed you that the operation was serious, we did our best, but we have to wait for next 24 hours to know about her condition. Sir her head injuries were because of the accident but the bruises on her legs and body were serious too!!! Do you know anything about them???"

"no doctor, as I had said I found her running from the woods when she crashed in front of my car... I don't know anything about them"

"hmm mr khurana, I think it's a serious police case now. I had informed them they will be reaching too here"

Soon the police arrived and met both of them. "mr khurana this case is getting serious now. And I am sorry to say that you will also be involved in this case until we reach its roots. Doctor what do you think, is she raped???" asked inspector as he turned to doctor.

"no officer, her marks are not of rape, and we did few tests too we cleared that she wasn't raped, but yeah the marks were deep as if she was tortured, or tied or something else... but they looked really serious" the doctor informed.

"me khurana are you sure, you never saw her before that accident??" enquired officer.

"sir what do you mean by that. Are you trying to say that I tried to torture her???? For your kind information, I was the one who brought her here when the accident was her fault too, without fearing that it may harm my image or affect my company shares. Secondly, if I had to torture her I wouldn't have brought her over here, in the biggest hospital of city, hadn't taken any pain to ensure if she is ok or not" his each word were filled with the venom that was filled in his heart as he spoke.

"mr khurana i didn't meant to say that, but we have to start our investigation from some point at least" said the officer.

"and I hope that the person responsible would be found soon too". Said maan with a nod, his voice was emotionless.

After that he too left for his home, his mind was way too tired from all that happened today and above all his emotional turmoil was at peak today, after remembering all about the accident that happened. All his decision to die was somewhere forgotten, all he needed was some sleep, he had to stay at hospital whole night and it was already 5 in the morning, he was way too drained out now.

Around 12 noon he was woken up by the ringing voice of his cell. He rubbed his eyes to wipe of the remains of sleep and clear his vision as he tried to read the name flashing on the screen. After a moment he got sober and winced as a headache crop up, may be due to all late sleeping, and then the sound of ringtone was adding up.

He looked at the caller and realized it was from his office and immediately received the call. It was from his finance advisor Aditya who had called to enquire whether he would be coming today or not. He immediately came in his form and fired orders at him, which he wanted to be completed till he reaches his office.

Soon he got up, freshened up and had his late breakfast or early lunch, whatever it was and made his way towards office. He had almost forgotten what had happened last night, only what he had to do today was all he cared for.

The driver stopped the car at signal, which he hated the most. Delhi's traffic could spoil your mood even if you are at your best. He looked around to see around and that's when his eyes fell on the hospital that was on the other end of the road. Last night's event came crashing down on him, taking away all his breathe.

Does that girl have her consciousness??? He thought and then thought to go and give her a visit, not because he care for her, but yeah he was a human and he has sympathy for her, but more for her family who must be searching for her.

"driver hospital chalo" he ordered and waited patiently, he didn't even realized how sweaty his hand went with just the thought of going back to that building, to that environment again. With slow and steady steps he walked inside the building, his nerves were all high and so were his breathe. "I will just ask the doctor about her condition and leave" he decided not having in him to stay any longer than required.

As he reached the floor where ICU was, he was way too restless as if something was going to happen, somehow he could feel it in his senses. He met the doctor at the end of corridor and asked about her condition. But before he could say anything, a nurse came hurriedly and said, "doctor us patient ko hosh aa rha hai".

Maan sighed with relief and followed doctor to the ICU where she was. Doctor rushed to her side and checked her pulse. He got worried and checked her eyes. She was still not fully awake, but squirmed a bit showing signs of some movement. "nurse her blood pressure is high, bring that injection"

Maan just stood at side as he looked at all the on-going hassle, while doctor did his check-up. But before he could inject her, she opened her eyes and looked at all the people who surrounded her. Doctors and nurses moved back, giving her time to adapt the surrounding while she held her head due to pain.

Her whole body was in pain, afterall she was operated just few hours back and all the wounds were fresh too. She slowly opened her eyes and gathered her surrounding, her eyes scanned all the faces that were in the room, doctors surrounded her, even the specialist was called, and maan moved back to give them enough space.

She looked at all the weird faces and got scared. A deep fear was in her heart, she didn't know why but she knew that all those people are going to hurt her. She tightly closed her eyes as if they will go away if she did that and after a moment again opened her eyes but they all were there, none went away.

She looked at them in fear and tried to retreat back, until her back was hit with backrest. One of the doctor came closer to hold her hand to check her pulses but she pushed his hand away and said, "please go away... please don't touch me... jaooo shooo jaoo"

"I am just checking your pulse rate" the doctor said warmly, but she didn't cared about what he said. She didn't even understood what he said. jao jao... leave sab jaooo" she started shouting. These people were creeping her up, she knew they will hit her, probably harm her if they came close.

Doctors thought she just got scared due to the sudden accident and signalled a nurse to go close. She nodded and moved toward her which alarmed her all the more. She started getting hyper and looked at the needles that were inserted in her hands. She looked at them scared and then at her with fear, "don't hurt me please, don't please" she was in tears as she tried to carelessly remove her needles.

Doctors got worried seeing her condition, she was being out of control. And whenever they tried to move closer she would just get all panic and start shouting. She was in tears and looked around for something that could save her from them, from all these bad people. Her eyes fell on the knife that was kept in the tray next to the bed and she in a second took in her hands pointing it to them, "don't hurt me, I will be good... don't hurt me"

Doctors just stepped back getting serious now, the situation was getting dangerous and they don't want anyone to be hurt let it be anyone. Maan saw all this from side and did not understand why she was behaving like this. He remembered doctor saying about some torture marks and thought may she thought they will hurt her like them.

"koi kuch nhi karega, keep that knife away... its dangerous" he spoke for the first time and showed his presence in the room. All looked at him and so did the girl with her wide eyes. She looked at him, at his face, her brain flashed some image of him, him saying kuch nhi hoga tumhe, she didn't understood anything and held her head in all the confusion.

"chodo us knife ko" he again said and she just looked at him silently, there was something that was going on in her brain and she couldn't point to it. The nest second knife drop out of her hand and she jumped off her place and came near him. All thought she was going to hit him and got alarmed, but she just held his hand and hid herself behind his back saying, "bachalo mujhe bachalo please"

All got shocked with her reaction, even maan was shocked too. He just didn't understand anything that was happening and then he felt all her weight on his back all of a sudden. He turned to look only to find her unconscious!!!
