A Promise To Change

Maan and Geet both walked in to their house and they haven't spoke anything after they got out from the office, "Ji," Geet called and Maan turned towards her, "Ji, did you get the cover and did you gave it to Daya sir," Geet asked remembering his words, "O, No Geet, I have to see him tomorrow only, his was out of station today, so he said he will get it tomorrow," Maan said and she smiled an ok,

"Now, go and refresh, you look tired," Maan said and went inside his room, "Geet di," Nandhini and Dev came down seeing her, "Where have you gone Geet, bro got so tensed," Dev said, and then Geet said what happened, "Hmmm, anyways interesting to watch your love story growing up," Dev said and Geet scorned, "Love story?" she asked with a doubtful look,

"Oh come on, Geet, I saw that, Bro was treating your feet right, and why the hell do you think the great MSK would do that, if he wasn't in love," Dev asked and Geet immediately blushed, "Nothing like that, he was trying to be nice, that's all", Geet said still blushing, "Oh Come on, Geet, you too can see that he is changing right, anyways, I hope you both get together before Dadi maa comes home," Dev said with a grin and Geet blushed and went away,

The nights went well, with a normal dinner and good night sleep for everyone, except for Geet who was tensed about tomorrow's big event, she was not feeling sleep so was roaming in her room and suddenly the lights went out, "Baba ji," she stood in the dark closing her eyes tight and praying that light should come back soon, she was hell scared of the darkness,

"Hey see what went wrong, why didn't the UPS turned on immediately," Maan yelled at the securities standing out, and they rushed to check, Geet slowly opened her eyes and she saw a shadow passing thru near the window in the moon light that's all she immediately screamed up, "Geet," Maan rushed to her room hearing her screaming, "Geet" he went in and he saw her figure standing in the dark, and he went in,

"Geet," he called slowly and touched her shoulders and she immediately hugged him tightly as she was so scared, and started wiping, "Geet, it's ok, it's ok. The power will come now," Maan said as he held her back, "I saw someone," she said holding him close, " I saw someone moving in the dark, I feel scared, I don't like darkness" She finished,

"Geet, look, nothing to be feared, I am here right, I will not let anything happen to you, ok, I am here for you," Maan spoke out his heart seeing her scared like this and held her a bit close and she stopped wiping and placed her head on his hard chest and laid up holding him tight and then after a few minutes the lights came up, and she was still standing like holding him as she had her eyes closed, "Geet, lights came up," Maan said and she withdrew from him and turned away,

"O, sorry, I was scared, I saw something moving there, so," Geet said and Maan looked at her and went towards the window and saw through it and found nothing, "Geet, there is nothing, ok, and what are you doing this late, didn't you sleep," Maan asked and she said that she was thinking about tomorrow's event, "Geet, it's late, I think you better get to sleep, ok," Maan said and Geet too nodded, "Good night," Geet said from behind as he walked out and he turned around and nodded, and went away.

Geet then went and locked the windows and went to bed, the morning sun was shining as bright as it could be on Khurana Mansion, and Geet got ready to the office, "Geet," Maan called and she rushed out to him, "Geet I have two important meetings, can you handle the things without me, and I will be back by 3, and the party is at 7.30, you could do it alone," Maan asked and Geet nodded a yes with a big smile,

She will be in the office," Maan asked, "Oh, Seems that girl trusts you so much, that she is saying everything to you first, not even believing a CID," Daya said, and Maan let out a grin, "yes, she trusts me so much," he repeated Daya words thinking about Geet and turned to look at him, and saw Daya starting at him, "Maan," he spoke with a puzzled look looking at Maan's smiling face and his slow words, and looked away thinking something, "what happened Daya," Maan asked looking at his sudden changed reaction, "How could I be this foolish," Daya said and Maan looked at him confused,

"You married her, didn't you?" Daya asked suddenly shocking Maan to hell, "I saw you there in the marriage, then I saw her in your office and you said you went with her to the park, on that day and Damn, how did I missed these things, you married her, didn't you," Daya asked and Maan nodded a yes not wanting to lie to his best friend, "Maan, I am so proud of you, she was such a sweet girl, you are lucky to get a wife like her,"

"And no wonder she was so happy and in love, with her husband," Daya said and Maan suddenly felt an guilt, and looked upset, "Maan, what happened," Daya asked and Maan looked away, "Daya, don't be proud of me," Maan said and said what happened and what's going on between them, Daya heard everything shocked, "Maan, you are a fool," Daya said aloud, "Maan, why the hell you do so, you thought your relationship will spoil your business, how crazy" Maan looked at Daya who was yelling at him, and he was only one who could do that to Maan,

"If you liked it, if you feel that she is worth to be your wife, if you feel something for her, then, then you can change your decision, right, one month Maan," Daya said and Maan felt weird and shook his head a no, "hey, for our friendship atleast, please, I don't want you to lose a nice girl like her, Maan just one month, after that if you don't like her, then ok, I won't compel you, hmm, please," Daya asked, and Maan saw his big friend pleading to him with a eager face, and he hated upsetting him,

"Ok, I will," Maan said, "Promise me Maan, that you won't restrict yourself, you will do whatever your heart feels like doing, speaking, looking or whatever, for one month, Maan, just one month, open up yourself, promise me," Daya asked, "Ok, Ok, I promise, I will not restrict, ok" Maan said finally and Daya smiled big, "That's my boy, hmm, waiting to see you in love," Daya said and he scorned, "ok, ok, take care, will see you soon, ok, bye," Daya said and went away,

Maan thought about what Daya said and shook his head and went back to attend his meeting, Geet, Adi, Pinky, Tasha and Jay were so busy in their venue preparation, and they were so fast, it was 3 when Geet saw the clock, "Adi sir, check the caters and please check the presentation na, and Jay go with Adi sir and check it, don't want an thing go wrong while screening it, before Mr.Castle and Pinky, Tasha go and get Sasha mam ready, we only have 3 hour, you guys go to the parlor immediately" Geet said tensed,

"Geet, relax, we will take care of that and you take care of the venue decorations, hey, can you do it alone," Adi asked and Geet said she will, and Geet was busy after they left, "Hey, hey, the tree goes there, and the golden balls there". Maan came to the venue and looked around, he saw the decoration work was going on and Jay's staff going around, while going he called Adi and Adi said that Geet is in the venue and he and jay are looking at the presentation and Pinky is getting Sasha ready and they are in the parlor,

Maan cut the call and he stopped for a minute, Geet is inside, alone and his promise to Daya came to his mind, "ok, what will happen if I let my heart speak, how different it will be, ok, will go and see for our self," Maan thought and went towards the hall, and as he entered the hall he stopped as he saw Geet spinning around the hall, working furiously,

Maan just stood there looking at her, "Yeah, how long will you take, put it there soon," Geet yelled and she turned frustrated, "Baba ji, please, make everything ok," she prayed and was running here and there with her notepad in her hand, Maan simply stood there looking at her work and was enjoying the scene, she looked cute when she was yelled and looked angry, it was so childish, and it made him grin,

Maan liked to see her bossy and Maan was looking at her smile and pure face, she is beautiful, Maan thought as he saw her face glowing with all the excitement around her and it gave him a big smile, then she looked around and started climbing a ladder, so fast, putting Maan to shock, "What the hell she is doing," Maan thought and went near her, "Geet what are you doing," Maan yelled, "Ji," Geet said as she heard his voice, "You came," she asked,

"Geet, first come down," he said again, "I am trying to do the decoration, and don't worry I will be careful" she said as she tried to put on something on the top, she slipped and fall off, "Baba ji," she screamed, "Geet," Maan too screamed, Maan was quick and Geet fall straight into Maan's arms, and held him tight, and Maan could feel her shiver and high heart beat, "Geet, it's ok," Maan said slowly into her cheeks as her cheeks was so close to his lips,

Geet still held him tight and had her eyes closed tight, "Geet I have you, it's ok, I have you," Maan said again and his hot breathe touched her skin made her relax and she slowly moved away and looked at him, his eyes shining at her, "you are ok," Maan said and Geet looked at his face and his eyes and felt mesmerized, and she felt his strong arms holding her, Maan too looked at her and loved her stare into his face, Geet face turned red due to her shyness, Maan loved it and they stood there like that for a few seconds and Maan slowly started walking with her,

Geet didn't ask anything except for staring at him, after they reached the middle of the hall, he dropped her finally, and Geet looked at him and turned down, "Haven't I told you to get down," Maan asked looking at her baby face, "Geet, why the hell you have to do these works, what happened to all the staffs, for god sake, act like a boss, this is your company," Maan yelled and Geet turned up and looked at him shocked,

"I Mean, I mean you belong to Khurana concern and Jay is suppose to work under us and you are suppose to boss him, and his staff" Maan said looking at her shocked look, "ok, you carry on and get ready, I will go and get Adi and will go prepare something to welcome Mr.Castle, ok, and don't do the monkey jobs again ok," Maan said and Geet looked at him surprised and shocked and Maan went away with a grin, "Baba ji, he made fun of me,"

She took it and looked inside and got shocked, it was the white dress, and there was a note too there, "It was beautiful on you, so please accept my gift, my friend, Jay" it was signed, and he had kept the matching jewels too there, "Jay" Geet thought shaking her head, but she had no time to think of anything so she started to change,
