M: Geet I think you have known me from the past 2 months and I think they are enough to at least trust your friend.
Geet just hugged him and started crying silently.
Maan comforted her... Maan decided that if it disturbs her so much then he will not ask
After some time Geet started to answer still sobbing in between
G: Maan two days back when I was returned from office... The whole mansion had no light... I thought that its the usual load shedding but then the generators were also not working so I thought to ask the guard to turn it on...I went outside again from the main door and there someone...some one...
Geet just stopped saying as her voice just died out.
M: Go on Geet I am listening...
Maan comforted her so she could proceed.
G: Someone...tried strangling me..
It was as if while telling she could still feel those rough hands on her neck.
G:I...I... I tried a lot to scream but he had tied a cloth on my mouth first..
I tried freeing myself but the person was so stronger then me... Maan
I thought I...I... I would die right there and then but soon I heard fast footsteps and the person left me pushing me far away...and the lights came back...
I saw only the side pose of that person.. I think I know him but I am not sure whether he is the one... He ran from there and then my guard supported me and bought me near to a couch... My maids were not at home... they were gone to get some grocery...
M: Geet... a lot of things happened and you didn't even bother telling me... I am your friend not too close but still u could have told me... I could have figured some solution out... I told u to call me whenever u needed me.. and where are your parents...I can't see them anywhere...
Geet just paused and lowered her head down.. her eyes staring at her hands on her lap now. She didn't know how to say the dreadful past about her parents to Maan. Still she mustered some courage and looked him with tears glittering in her eyes.
G: Maan they died 6 years before in an accident..
Maan parted her... Already the event of someone strangling her was making him wild and now this. He just couldn't comprehend anything now and kept on staring her
Geet again lowered her head as she couldn't see the change of emotions in his eyes starting from shock, surprise and ultimately sympathy...
Maan: (Self-thought)All these days she was alone. Though he had also suffered his fathers loss but she didn't have both blessings in her life. And now scared of that unknown intruder in her life... Don't know how many obstacles she has survived all these days...Living in such harsh society.
Maan silently asked her
M: Geet u didn't have anyone all this time...where are your relatives?? Where is everyone?
G: Maan I don't have anyone... I am all alone... My parents had some fight with my relatives and from then no one ever talked to us... and then after they died I am all alone..
Maan's eyes turned misty due to the tears he was holding for so long while hearing her past. But he didn't let the tears fall.
After his father death he had made himself so strong but still this girls past broke him somewhat. It was like two souls are sharing somewhat a similar pain... Pain of losing your most most loved ones.
M: Geet how did u survive like this???
Geet just didn't answer...
Maan was in deep thinking
M(self-thought): I won't leave that person who tried to touch Geet...
Maan came back from his thoughts and glanced her thinking what to do next.
Maan resumed applying ointment on her arms... He also put it around her neck.
Maan started to divert her mind.
M: Geet is this your room??
Man was trying to observe everything when his eyes fell on the side table. He saw a picture which was blurred and it was torn from one side in half. He felt that this picture was very familiar...
G: Yes Maan its mine..
Maan stood up and went closer and looked it very closely and his brain clicked something.
Geet was just lost in her thoughts.
Maan just rushed in between keeping the photograph in his side pocket and took the suitcase from top of the cupboard and started packing some clothes.. then went to the bathroom to collect toiletries..
Geet was shocked to see this... Maan rushing all over the room.
G: Maan what are u doing??? Why are u packing my clothes... Maannn are u listening???
Geet(Self-thought): What is he trying to do..?? Abhi to he was fine... Oh my clothes... my toothbrush... Is he kicking me out of the Mansion... like they do in movies...Is he taking over my mansion... haa dekha nahi larki akeli hai and no one in family and he will take over my business too..
Geet kia hogaya hai... Maan is your friend why will he do this...
Geet you are thinking too much... just ask him... haa... kia pata he has something to say... aur ha... if he tried to take my cozy mansion away then I wil kill him..
Geet moved forward in a defensive manner.
G: Maan aap kia kar rahe ho??
Maan didn't reply.
Geet (selfthought): Maybe he didn't hear. I should ask once again.
G: Maan mai bata rahi ho that if you are kicking me out of my mansion then... then haa ...I will call the police...
M: Geet kia kah rahi ho...??( asked in a confused state still packing stuff)
G: Maan?
Geet couldn't understand anything. The past events her getting scared of the dark, her crying, telling Maan her past just took a back seat in her mind.
Maan after packing the basic things asked her to call her maids and tell them that she is leaving for a few days..
G: Maan I am not going anywhere... do u understand??
Geet (selfthought) He is not even listening to me and showering orders. Sahi kahtay hai in kay employees Zalim Singh Khuranna. Haa. Liken he also nice na... he comforted me today nahi...
Geet came back in the mode leaving her controversial thoughts for later.
G: Mr. Khuranna! Are u listening?
M: Geet I have listened u enough.. Now just call your maid...
Geet silently moved to the side table and took the phone to call as she didn't want to hear orders again and this time more sternly. She liked when he was like her friend not like CEO of KC.
Geet called her maids... (Reluctantly)
Maan in the meantime took the bag from there and went downstairs...
Geet after calling too came downstairs and saw Maan was holding the cage of Tito...
G: Maan what are u doing... you can't take Tito with you...
Geet rushed towards Maan in order to grab the cage
Maan just put it in the car before she reaches it.
Meanwhile Tito not knowing the situation in both are started singing randomly.
Geet just stood next to the door all crying seeing her Tito going away.
Maan came back and hold her hands
M: Geet u can't stay here... U are not safe here... U are coming with me.. to my house... Already u have been attempted to murder...I can'not risk your life now.. Do u understand... You are my responsibility. I want no arguments now... come with me
Geet was just trying to analyze everything when Maan closed the main door and came to the car.. dragged her on the front seat and asked her to sit down
Geet just sat down without any more arguments... Maan came from the other side and started driving.

Geet just tilt her head such that her head was leaning towards the window... Tears were falling every now and then his word roaming all over her mind... Risk, Murder, Responsibility,Safety... Maan continued to drive... in between glancing at her...
Finally Maan and Geet reached at a very extravagantly beautiful mansion much huge and beautiful than her own.
Maan parked the car infront of the entrance... Geet was seeing this all amusingly.
M: Geet
G:...
G:...
Maan this time spoke a little loudly.
M: Geet come.. this way
Geet came out from the car.. she was having a very different feeling. It was a like a dj vu..
Maan held her hand and bought her inside.
M: Ramesh... get the luggage from the car.
Ramesh: Ji sir
M: Maa, Dadima... kaha hai app sab???
M: Maaa??
Geet was a silent spectator to all this.. but her eyes were stuck at a family portrait in the lounge... She had tears brimming in her eyes by seeing that...

I know i have not been updating and many people are angry with me for not updating. But before u throw anything on me I have a reason for it. After posted a note i got addicted to two book series..Reading one after the other. If some one here like to read books... Do read the Divergent Triology. Read Divergent and Insurgent and they are just awesome.
And The selection triology. Its a very good lovestory. I am so much in love with the character of Maxon and America Singer.
