Geet was standing in her room facing window. She was having tears in her eyes. Yash reached near her and put his hand on her shoulder.Geet quickly wiped her eyes and turned.

Yash-Geet I m sorry for whatever happened down stairs.

Geet-yash why are you saying sorry ? You didn't do any wrong.

Maan too reached there-But I have done wrong. I m sorry Geet.I was just joking .

Geet-Maan I know you were joking. If you knew it ,you wouldn't have said those things. I even didn't mind that. I m not sad for that. Mujhe bura lag raha hai ki meri wajah se bina baat tension ho gayi.

Maan-What? You are sad for that? Geet ye hamaare ghar me roz hota hai. The reason behind it is our great taiji.wo jab bhi yahaan hoti hain aisa hi hota hai.sometime for one reason and sometime for other.

Yash-Maan please.

Maan-kya pleas Yash. Don't you feel bad for what she said?For God sake she was talking about your wife.

Yash-I felt bad but you know na that maa papa don't like us to reply her back

Geet- Why both of you fighting now?Leave it.

Arpita and Anie too came there.Both were feeling bad for Geet.

Anie-Bhabhi please don't mind her words.I don't know what she wants. She never likes to see anyone happy.and I m surprised why Maa nad papa always ignore her harsh talks?

Arpita-Geet.. don't worry I will teach you to cook food.

Geet smiled to hear it-I know Arpita.ab kisi na kisi ko to mera teacher banna hi padega.

They all heard a knock on the door .Ram and Priya bwere standing there. They came in and Geet said-Maa I m very sorry . Taiji got angry because of me.but mamma ki koi galati nahin thi. She tried hard to teach me .maine hi kabhi koshish nahin ki. I was always busy in studies.But I pomised her to learn all household works after my exams and you know na ki us se pahle hi shadi ho gayi.Mamma didn't have any intension to cheat you.But I promise you now that I will learn all works. Please give me some time. Let my exams finish. I will be a good DIL.. Sachhi ..I promise.

Priya's heart melted at this-Geet .. don't take that on heart.taiji ki nature hi aisi hai .waise I want to tell you a secret.You know when I came here after marriage I too didn't know to cook well,but my MIL was very sweet so she taught me to do all work and she hid all this from taiji.

Anie-Really maa.pahle to kabhi aap ne nahin bataya.

Priya- ohoo Anie.I never got a chance .Today I remember it to see Geet.Taiji tab bhi aise hi baat karti thi.

Maan-But maa mauka to dekh lena chahiye.har waqt bura bolna zaroori hai kya?

Ram-Maan why are you over reacting? You know all about her.

Maan - I m over reacting? O come on papa.

Ram to Geet-Geet. Actually she is my taiji.. But whole village used to call her with this name.So our children too call her like this.She doesn't have her own children. She loved me like her own child. My parents didn't have enough money to let me complete my studies. That time she sold her ornaments to give me money for my studies. Only after that I could complete my degree in engineering. And I will be always grateful to her.If she hadn't give me money I would have been working like a servant in some one's field in village. I have asked Priya too not to answer her back. Bas ye ek Maan hi hai jo kabhi chup nahin rahta always replies her back.Some years ago her husband went to Amarnath and a tragedy happened there due to heavy rain and thousands of people lost their lives. Tauji ka kuchh pata nahin chala. We all now consider him dead, but she isn't ready to accept the truth. She still believe that he will return some day ,so lives like a married woman. In beginning we tried to convince her but she was adamant on her decision , we too accepted her like this.She is a lady of rude words but still I didn't say anything to her .unhen lagta hai ki hum unke apne nahin hain tabhi aisi baat karte hain unse , agar unka real beta hota to kabhi aise baat nahin karta. Thus we prefer to be quite in front of her so that she doesn't feel stranger here. She now spends some time here and some time in her nephew's house.

Geet -Oh got it. Who is Su ..Suman?

All smiled to hear it.

Maan-wow Geet you remember this name a midst all these accusations. Hmm... not bad. Feeling possessive for your husband?

Geet shied-No ..not like that.I just wanted to know that

Priya-She is taiji's nephew's daughter.and you need not to know more than this.

Geet-Hmm..

Priya-Okey Geet. Please take this shagun now. And I m sorry for whatever taiji said.

Geet-OMG... Do you all have a disease to say sorry for other's deeds. Maa I m not sad for whatever she said. I was only feeling bad for my mother,She always warned me but I never listened to her.And for this shagun..ye to main ab ussi din accept karoongi jis din main aap sabko ek full lunch ya dinner bana kar khilaungi.Tab tak aap isko apne paas hi rakhiye. And please Give Arpita her shagun.

Maan-I think I should start to pray to god to keep all of us alive after eating the food which you will cook for us.

Geet/Yash-Maann.

Anie-Wow dono ek saath.. not bad.

Maan- achchha ab chalo ye halwa to taste karo jiski wajah se itna sab kuchh ho gaya.Waise Geet Halwa to theek hi bana hai.I m still breathing after eating it.Geet smiled and ate the halwa and said-I can't believe, ye maine hi banaya hai na.arpita ka to nahin hai na?

Arpita smiled to hear it-No it's your's and it's really tasty. I can say that you will prove yourself a good student.

Geet now knew many things about taiji.

All were ready to go but Geet stopped them. She went and opened her cupboard and took out some thing.She came back to Arpita-Arpita.. this is for you.and she forwarded a very beautiful bangle box to wards Arpita.

Arpita-Geet .. what's this?

Geet-Arpita you are forgetting that I m your jethaani.bhale hi 5 minute badi hoon but I m your elder SIL.So this is your shagun for making your first dish. All were surprised to see that different Geet.

Geet-Why you all are looking at me . Arrey.. Mamma ne kaha mujhse Arpita ko dene ke liye. After all she is younger to me .Age me na sahi but rishte me to hai na.

Arpita hugged her-Thanks Jethani ji.

Ram and Priya were happy to see the bonding between all the children.All dispersed. And Yash thanked Geet for nor not taking the things on her heart.

Get-Yash .Heart is already too small in size. If I keep these silly feelings there then where will I keep happy feelings. No space for such craps in my heart.

Yash nodded with a smile on his face. Somewhere he witnessed today a mature geet behind a chatter box.

Taiji now found a prey in the form of Geet to criticize her every now and then but Geet never gave a ear to her as she knew there will be no use of talking to her. But she behaved nicely with her as she didin't want her Inlaws to feel bad , because whenever Maan answered her back she took out her frustration on them only. Yash neither liked her nor hated her. She was for him only taiji who came there to spend some days as she had no one in her family. Anie was youngest so Priya never allowed her to talk rudely with her and she always cribbed for that.

Geet had started to study for exams and and Arpita started to help Priya in handling the house. Some times Geet too helped them in arranging the table or cleaning the kitchen whenever the house help was not available .She was the medium of entertainment in the house now . Taiji always fumed to see her gaining so much attention without doing any work.

One poor soul was there whose life had changed upside down with Geet coming in his life and that was Yash. She was too much talkative that Yash some timed had to run from there on the pretext of some work.Maan was right ,she was a toofan main who never stopped once started. But it was true too that he had started to laugh a lot and family noticed that change in him.

Arpita was not much talkative. She was sincere and always worried for other's reaction towards herself. She always tried to not make anyone to feel disappointed with herself . She tried to keep everyone happy and in this effort she made herself tired. At the end of the day she would be happy that the day went well .Though Maan liked her as a wife and DIL but he always missed a friend in his wife. She never gave him a chance to complain and she was happy for that and Maan always wished his wife to react in a girly way .He wanted her to make some demands like a typical wife but Arpita never did that.

Once Maan yash and Ram were leaving to office but Geet called yash from behind and Taiji again caused her-Pata nahin kab akkal aayegi .Ye bhi nahin pata ki peechhe se awaaz nahin lagaate.

Geet shook her head and went near Yash and placed his collar at right place as he forgot to look himself in mirror after getting ready.Mana smiled to see this .he always loved the bonding between Yash and Geet.

Taiji watched this and said-Aaj kal ki ladkiyaan sharam ko to taale me band karke rakhti hain taki galati se bhi kisi ko darshan na ho jaayen.ye bhi nahin dekhti ki sab saamne khade hain.hamaare zamaane me to pati se dus kadam door rahte the.

Geet murmured-phir bhi dus dus bachche paida ho jaate the.Yash glared at her and she again murmured-sorry.

Maan was standing near them so he too heard what Geet murmuredt and said in a low voice-Wow Geet Lagta hai I have got a supporter for myself. Geet gave him a smile on this

Geet to taiji-Taiji office me sab apne boss ko dekhkar hansenge us se to achchha hai na ki jo galat hai usko theek kar do. Aage se dhyaan rakhungi ki peechche se awaaz na doon. Sorry for that.and then in a naughty voice- Aur taiji...ye kahaan likha hai ki pati ko din me nahin chhoo sakte.

Anie suppressed her laughter to hear that and this time Priya too was smiling to hear her DIL,but Arpita was scared to hear taiji.Ram was amused to see such a straight forward girl.Well such people have their plus as well as minus points. Taiji's mouth was wide open to hear that. She tried to say something but after watching all smiling she didn't. She preferred to go to her room in anger-Chote bade ka to lihaaz hi nahin hai

Yash shook his head and Maan winked at him. Taiji's bitter talks went unheard and today no one felt bad after hearing her. All left for office in a jolly mood.Geet asked Priya-Maa is taiji angry on me? I don't think I have done something wrong be correcting Yash's collar. I didn't know that we shouldn't call from behind. I am sorry for that. I will keep this in my mind.

Priya- Koi baat nahin Geet. (to Arpita) Arpita why are you so tensed.You don't need to be scared of taiji and Arpita gave her a nervous smile

Next day all were ready to levae for office and having their breakfast. Arpita and Geet were serving them .Arpita's eye caught Maan. His tie was going on one side.It wasn't at the centre of the collar.Arpita cleared her throat but man didn't look at her.Seeing no other option she called him-Maan

Maan-Haan.kya hua?

Arpita-wo.. wo.. your tie is not at place. Please adjust it.

Maan was disappointed at this-Oh .. and he placed it right. Thanks Arpita.

Taiji was happy on this-ye hai bhale ghar ki beti. Kitni samjhdaar hai. Kitni sharafat se usne ane pati ko bataya.

And Geet pouted at this.

Maan knowingly had done that as he liked Geet's gesture for Yash very much last day. But She was Arpita not Geet and didn't have courage to go near her husband when everyone was present there.He shook his head on his luck and all went for their work.

Days were passing like that sometime sweetly and sometime not so sweetly -curtsy to Taiji.

Geet was spending much time in studies and Yash was trying to cop up with Geet who appeared with a new color each day. Sometimes he used to say to Maan-Maan you such a lucky man.teri biwi tujhe kabhi tang hi nahin karti and Maan always used to a give a small smile at this.

Precap-Taiji is going to her nephew's house for some days.😃
