Geet joined her college again after spending some days in her new house(sasuraal). She was trying hard to cop up with the syllabus which she missed during her marriage and the leaves taken after marriage.Yash was supporting her in handling her studies.He wanted her to do well in her exams.She started to go with Anie as her college was in the way of anie's college. Taiji was still the same . She sometimes cursed Priya too for selecting a girl for yash who was totally irresponsible towards her duties as a wife.Priya always ignored her by saying that it was the matter of few months only. Arpita too was changing slowly as she could now understand her inlaws. She knew that they were very nice people.she stopped behaving like a scared cat. In beginning she got nervous whenever Maan talked to her frankly and didn't know how to response but later she too got used to that.but she still kept herself at distance from him in front of family.

Geet's family lived in same city so they sometimes used to come to meet Geet. Taiji always searched a reason to taunt them for their daughter. Sudha always felt ashamed to hear her accusations but couldn't say a word as she knew that fault was in her daughter..She tried to talk to Geet but priya always assured her not to worry about Geet. She used to tell her that a person can't be perfect in every field, Geet too was a simple human being. Once Sudha was talking to Geet in her room -Geet you are married now.I know your studies are still incomplete but you can try at least to not give anyone a reason to complain.

Geet wanted to say something but she stopped as yash came there. He had heard whatever Sudha said

Yash- Maa don't worry about Geet. Taiji only search a reason to crib not only against Geet but everyone here. She is only like that.She can't change herself at this age.But I have a complaint against Geet.If you can convince her to rectify it I will be highly obliged.

Geet looked at him with some confusion.Sudha got worried hearing this-Kya kiya isne Yash?

Yash- Can you convince her to not talk too much. She talks so much that my ears get tired to hear her non stop talks.

Sudha smiled at this because she knew that her daughter's favorite hobby was to talk and could understand Yash's situation well as she too was tired of her talks sometimes when Geet was with them. But nowadays their house was missing this chatterbox.They all were missing Geet in handa house as she was the life of that house.

But Geet was little sad- yash aap tang aa gaye ho mere bolne ki aadat se? Theek hai ab main jyada baat nahin karoongi.Waise jyada kyun ab main baat hi nahin karoongi.Happy?

Yash-very happy.Waise for how many seconds you can sit quietly?He couldn't believe that Geet could live without talking.

Sudha laughed to see them . She was now convinced that her daughter was well accepted in this house despite having so many imperfections. She caressed both of them on their heads-hamesha khush rahna tum log.bhagwaan buri nazar se bacha ke rakhe , achcha ab main chalti hoon.Yash smiled and touched her feet and Geet hugged her mother but said nothing.

After Sudha went Yash asked geet-So how was your day in college ?

Geet nodded her head without uttering a word.

Yash again asked-Studies are going well?

Geet again nodded.Yash -kya baar baar sir hila rahi ho? Bolti kyun nahin ho?

Geet took a paper and wrote something on it. Yash was watching her with surprise. Geet gave him the paper.he took and looked what she had written-You said that your ears are tired of my talking. So tell your ears to be happy .I have stopped to talk.Let your ears enjoy.

Yash was gaping at her -Are you serious geet.

Geet again nodded.

Yash-For how many seconds?

Geet again wrote- jab tak aap nahin kahenge tab tak.

Yash-Wow . Aaj main peacefully apna time spend karoonga.

Geet Looked with some anger at him and twisted her lips.Yash smiled and said-geet please ask someone to get a cup of tea for me and he went in to the bathroom to get fresh. Geet thought in her mind-yash aap hi kahoge mujhse baat karne ke liye. Agar aisa nahin hua na to main apna naam badal doongi. She smiled at her own thought.and now another task to ask someone for tea-(ST)No way Geet.be firm on your discision.She went out .yash came out of washroom and saw hot steaming tea was kept there. He lifted the cup-Thanks Geet.waise whom you asked to make tea? I mean you are not talking that's why I asked.

Geet smiled but said nothing and continued with her studies.Yash took a sip from the tea-Tea is very good. In fact it's different. Never had a tea before like this.who made this?

Geet smiled again and wrote on a paper-Go and ask everyone . the person who made tea will tell you.

Yash shook his head -Hmm so madam is really serious this time. Chalo achcha hai kuchh der shanti rahegi. Minutes turned in hour but Geet was still silent.A servant came and informed them that the dinner was ready.yash asked him-Listen who made the tea for me in the evening?

Servant-ji mujhe bahin pata.

Yash-Hmm...

Geet and yash reached down stairs for dinner. Geet helped Arpita in laying the table for dinner.

All reached there.

Anie looked at the dinner-Wow palak paneer.I love it

Arpita and Geet smiled.All settled around dining table.

Yash-Maa aaj chai aapne banayi thi. It was so nice.

Priya-Kaun si chai. Maine to nahin banaayi.

Yash-You too didn't make.Arpita tumne banaayi?

Arpita -No yash ..I didn't.

Maan-Kya Yash ye kya sabse chai ke bare me pooch raha hai.kya khaas tha usme ?

Yash-pata nahin but it was different.

Yash asked everyone but all refused.only one person was left and that was Geet.

Ram -yash paagal ho gaye ho kya.kya chai chai laga rakha hai.

Geet giggled to hear that.

Taiji-Aisa kyat ha uss chai me jot um itne gungaan kar rahe ho.

Yash-taiji I don't know. But I never had such tea before at home.

Priya-yash whom you asked to make tea.

Yash-Geet ko

Priya-Geet .. did you make the tea..

Geet nodded at this.yash was surprised -What you made the tea? But why didn't you tell me earlier?

Geet twisted her lips but said nothing.

Maan-geet aisa kya jadu daal dia tumne chai me jo yash ekdum flat ho gaya.hume nahin pilaaogi?

Geet again answered him in yes by nodding her head.

Taiji-Lo jisko ye nahin pata ki namak aur shakkar me kya fark(difference) hai, aaj usne chai banaayi.Kahin shakkar ki jagah namak to nahin daal diya Geet tabhi yash kah raha hai ki usne kabhi aisi chai nahin pi iss ghar me.

Geet gave taiji a smile but said nothing.

Ram-Something is different today. Tum logon ko nahin lagta?

Anie-yes papa I m too thinking this.But what's new?

Geet was looking all of them .

Ram-Geet ...anie ..how is your college going on?

Anie-first class papa. Mid terms are near.

Ram-And Geet your college?

Geet again nodded without uttering.

Priya-Geet ye tum baar baar sir kyun hila rahi ho?Bol kyun nahin rahi ho.

Maan-Now I got it what's different today.

Anie-Kya bhaiya?

Yash shook his head and looked at maan.Maan winked at him and said-Aaj hamaara Chatter box locked hai.uss par tala laga hai.

Ram-What do you mean?

Maan-Arrey you all didn't notice that geet ji is not talking today.Geet ji Kya aapne aaj maun vrat rakha hai?

Geet pouted and nodded again in yes.

All-What? Geet you and Maun vrat? Kya hua.

Geet shook her head signaling -nothing

Maan raised his eyebrow and looked at Yash asking -What happened. And yash said-kuchh nahin.

Anie whispered in Geet's ear-Did you both have a fight?

Geet glared at her and shook her head in no

Priya-yash ne kuchh kaha kya?

Geet again signaled in no

Arpita-Today Sudha aunty came .Did she say some thing Geet?

same response came from Geet

Taiji-Arre kyun iske peechhe pade ho?Koi maharani hai kya?i jitnea samay bolne me lagaati hai utne samay me kuchh kaam karna seekh leti to baat hi alag hoti. par aaj kal ke bachche samajhte kahaan hain. waise achcha hi ha ek din b,at nahin karegi to bhookamp nahin aa jayega iss ghar me.kabhi kabhi chup bhi rah lena chahiye.Sehat ke liye achchha hota hai.

All looked at her but didn't react.Maan gritted her teeth and murmured-inke bole bina bhi kahaan kaam chalta hai. Anie smiled to hear him. Geet still was silent

Dinner was over and Geet again with Arpita helped servants in binding up for the day.

Geet went after the work was done as she had to cover up her leftover studies. Taiji too went to her room. Maan , yash Anie and arpita set with their parents for some time. Then Yash told them whatever happened in their room in the evening, and everyone pounced at him to make Geet like that.

Priya -kya zaroorat thi yash?

Yash-Mujhe laga ki she can't sit for a minute without talking that's why I teased her .nothing else. I didn't know she would take things seriously.

Arpita Anie and Priya left from there after talking for some time, and maan yash and Ram discussed some office work for an hour. After that all went to sleep.

Yash reached in the bedroom and found Geet sleeping with her head on the study table. Yash looked at her for few second and then he lifted her and made settled on bed.Geet was in deep sleep so changed to a side .now she was facing yash.He caressed her head-Geet you are changing me.He packed on her temple and slept.

In Maan's room Arpita was still awake. She was waiting for Maan. He came in and Arpita gave him a smile-Ye Geet bhi na . Always behaves like kids. Pata nahin kab badi hogi. Always gives taiji a chance to curse herself.

Maan-The day you will behave like kid she too will behave like a grown up

Arpita-what ? why I will behave like kid Maan?I m not so immature.

Maan-Then she is too like that only. And we should accept a person as he or she is.And I wish ki tum thodi si immature hoti?

Arpita looked at him and he winked at her and she smiled with some shyness in response.

Next morning Geet woke up first and she looked at yash and got up from the bed but she heard yash-Good morning geet.

Geet was going to say good morning to him bur remembered that she had stopped to talk.She looked at him and gave him a smile in reply.

Yash-Geet.. yaar bas bhi karo.

Geet wached him with a frown.

Yash- wo actually I wanted to say sorry. First I thought it very nice But later I realized that now this room has become habitual to your chattering and blabbering. And it is feeling very bore without your talks. So bechaare iss room par taras khaao aur kuchh baat karo.

Geet looked at him again with a raised eyebrow.

Yash-achchha baba . I m feeling very bad to say all that and Iwant to confesstaht i like your talking now. Kal se main tumhaari awaaz sunne ke liye bechain hoon . Please breake this maun vrat now.

Geet wrote on the paper-Pakka aap chahte ho ki main baat karoon?

Yash tore that paper-dare to write a word on it.say it with your mouth.

Geet looked at him for few second and burst in to laughter-I knew it I knew it .

Yash-Kya?

Geet-Ki main hi jeetungi.Aage se kabhi kahaa na ki meri baton se aap tang aa gaye ho to main kabhi baat nahin karungi

Yash gave her his hand-promise nahin kahunga.Geet held his hand and he pulled her near himself. Geet to came near him and put her head on his shoulder and yash was at peace now.

Today geet made tea for all and all too like the tea. Geet was very excited after seeing their expressions.

Ram-Tea is really so delicious.

Geet looked at taiji-taiji chai theek hai?

Taiji-Haan... theek hai .Shukr hai ki shakkar hi daali hai namak nahin. Geet pouted at this.

Arpita-Kya dala hai isme.It's really very nice

Geet-Arrey kuchh khaas nahin. Bas adrak ke saath thode se tulsi ki leaves dali hain . Whenever anyone at our home was caught with cold Mamma always gave us this tea and it helped us a lot to recover soon.

Their land line ranged and servant picked up the phone.Listening from otherside he came near taiji and told her that it was for her. She received the phone and was happy to listen what the person on the other side said.

She came back and told-I have to go to my nephew's house.Suman ke liye rishta aaya hai.ladke waale use dekhne aa rahe hain.Mujhe pakka yakeen hai ki iss baar uska rishta pakka ho jaayega.

Maan-Taiji every time you say like this. Par aaj tak rishta pakka hua nahin.kuchh to baat hogi.

Taiji-ladke waalon ki nazron me hi kami hai jo meri Suman ke gun (qualities) nazar nahin aate.

Maan-Really ..sabki nazar kharaab thi? Priya glared at maan while others were enjoying their talk.Taiji was not very rude in front of maan as she knew that he was the only one who never listened to her. Others never argued to her so she kept them under her pressure.

Ram made arrangement to send taiji to her nephew's house.

She was ready to leave . All touched her feet.

Taiji-jyada khush hone ki zaroorat nahin hai. Hamesha ke liye nahin ja rahi hoon.Thode din baad waapis aa jaaungi.

Geet- Arrey taiji. Aap aisa kyun soch rahin hain.I will surely miss you.(ST) aapki baaten sunne ki aadat jo ho gayi hai. And she gave a smile to taiji.

Taiji left for her nephew's house. All sighed very deep.Anie was very happy as she would be free from her mother's scolding for some days atleast.
