Ramadan Mubarak To All :)
Chapter 6
Maan and Geet were really very happy to receive such a positive reaction from the kids. They thought that the kids would be jealous or won't be happy with the news of a new baby. And most of all, they were glad that Yash and Veer didn't bombard them with questions like, "where do babies come from?" or "How are babies made?" But they also knew that sooner or later those questions will pop up in their head and they just have to be ready to face it.
Maan was very happy so he decided to take everyone out for ice cream. He sent the twin upstairs to wear their shoes. Then he walked over to Aryan, picked him up and sat next to Geet. Aryan crawled from Maan's lap to sit on Geet's lap.
"You are going to have a baby sister or brother to play with," Geet tried to explain it to him.
"Baby? Where?" Aryan asked looking around for a baby.
"The baby is not here yet." Maan tried to explain but Aryan looked at him confused.
"The baby is in mommy's tummy." He further added making the little kid even more confused.
"Mommy ate baby?" Aryan asked with his eyes growing big.
"No, she didn't eat the baby," Maan replied controlling his laugh.
"The baby is just growing in mommy's tummy." Explained Geet
Aryan kept looking at their faces for about a minute, trying to understand. But soon he lost his interest in all those questions and wanted his ice cream. "Ice cream?" He reminded maan, and bringing an end to the conversation.
Maan picked up Aryan and called for the boys. Veer and Yash came running down the stairs, singing, "I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream." Maan took Geet, Daadi and the kids to the ice cream parlor. They all ordered their favorite flavors and enjoyed their ice creams. After the ice cream, the kids insisted on going to the mall. Maan took them to the mall's play area and the kids started playing and chasing each other around.
While the kids were having fun, Geet felt anxious. She felt like someone was following them and like they were being watched, since this morning. She looked around the mall but nothing was out of the place. She decided to ignore the feeling and concentrate on the kids. The twins were playing with couple of other kids but she couldn't locate Aryan. She panicked for a second, when she felt a tug on her finger and found Aryan smiling at her. "Mommy, up!" he already had his hand up in the air, ready to be picked. Geet was about to pick him up but before that Maan appeared from the back and picked him first. But Aryan started struggling, wanting to be picked by his mother.
On seeing Aryan struggling so much and Maan still adamantly holding him, she couldn't help but smile. "Maan, it's okay, I can hold him." Geet tried to reason with him.
"But he will make you tired."
"I will give him back to you if I feel tired, I promise."
"Pakka?" Maan asked while passing Aryan to her.
As promised, Geet passed Aryan back to Maan when she started feeling weary. They called the kids and then they went to shop for a while. They had their dinner in a Chinese restaurant. So by the time they got back home, it was really late. The kids were really tired so they directly went to sleep.
On the other hand, Geet was feeling anxious and couldn't sleep. She looked next to her to find Maan soundly asleep. She sighed and tried to sleep, but sleep just wouldn't come. And when it came, nausea woke her up. She didn't want to disturb Maan's sleep, so she tried to get off the bed as slowly as she could, but Maan still woke up and was by her side in no time.
