The Downpour... Part 23

"Don't think much Geet, just think what you possess inside your heart and try to understand "why', you will get answer of your every question

"What did he mean?"

She stroked jacket lovingly, felt it below her fingers, caressed it, she felt it familiar. It felt like she was surrounded by a touch, which was making her feel so good and special. She clutched jacket tight, made herself to be hugged by it more fondly, it gave her goose bumps. A feel of safety she was experiencing and then suddenly a pair of strange eyes flashed in her mind! She knew it was that stranger's eyes. She had seen it when he was giving her jacket. But now, she felt, she had seen them somewhere else also. She closed her eyes, tried to imagine a face, where those, pair of deep black eyes belonged to and then she did prayer'

Suddenly Maan face appeared in her mind!!!

She shocked and became surprised!!! "He was Maan!!!'' her heart, mind, her soul screamed making her completely drenched in fresh excitement. She looked out of window to find the way Maan had just crossed. She had smile of happiness and tears of pride in expression. Happiness that she had solved the mystery and pride, to have the special treatment from her Babaji who had wrote her destiny with complete love and care, and didn't forget to fill it with Maan existence. She was not sure why her thoughts were going toward him to have him in life, but it was happening and she was very happy with it.

She came down of car. Rain had lessened down. She kept jacket back it car and looked around, where was she.

She found this place superbly beautiful, alike a royal garden.

"But why Maan would come here? He had said was going to construction site but it looked like a palace!!

"It must be his client's house'' She thought. She wanted to see the place, its beauty was attracting her or everything seemed so beautiful to her eyes after the beautiful realization' she was not sure but walked ahead.

Garden was so big with variant kinds of plants, trees and flowers. She started to walk more carelessly, became lost in the charm of place. The small and big statues were enhancing the sight and a water fountain, it was so magical alike she had reached in an imperial palace. Small ponds and over bridge on them, pairs of doves and various kinds of birds were showering their musical voices, hidden in tress, everything was just splendid. Geet could not even imagine the vastness of this place.

She was watching a well polished statue, was stroking it thinking "I wish I could stay here for a day'. She was so lost in herself when a lady called from back.

"Who are you!!!!!''

Geet drew back suddenly and in hurry her elbow hit the statue and it fell down with loud thud and shattered.

Her eyes widen in shock and same reaction she found on the stranger face. Geet was staring broken pieces and lady was staring to Geet, strangely.

"I am sorry!!!'' Geet had reached on the verge of cry. She was very scared thinking she had done big mistake coming here. The lady was Maan's client and what if because of her stupidity client shouts on him. "Oh Babaji what I did!!!'' she was cursing herself mentally. Looking at the lady she was sure, she was royal persona. Lady was in her age of sixties, had wore off white sari with golden border and white pearls embroidery all over. She had small diamond necklace and a pair of small diamond ear-ring on the name of jewelries and had majestic charisma in attitude.

"I'm so sorry ma'am it was all my mistake I had got scared and you called me and it fell and shattered it was all by mistake ma'am please forgive me!!''

She said everything in one breath and lady looked this strange girl in awe. She watched Geet from up to down. Wearing a plain suit, covering Dupatta like shawl, her hair and face was so mess (due to dust) and had worn slipper (house-shoe) in foot!! " How did she come inside?'' She thought.

"Who are you?''

Geet was not sure what to answer. Suddenly she saw Maan, was coming toward them. She hurried to him. Maan could not see the lady, he was shocked to see tension on her face.

"What happened Geet''

Before Geet could reply they heard lady stern voice.

"Maan!!''

Maan shocked to see the lady, color of his face dried. Geet who still had some courage to face this situation, disappeared when saw Maan expression, she hid behind him feeling guilt. She was worried for Maan reputation that could be drained because of her stupidity. She clutched his arm and whispered "sorry sir, it was my mistake"

Maan found lady was glaring Geet . He said Geet to go and wait in car but she denied.

"Geet go!!!"

Lastly she had to leave agreeing on Maan order. Straightway she reached to car and sat inside panting heavily, cursing herself for her deed.

Lady smirked and walked to Maan.

"So Mr. Maan Singh Khurana with a girl, hmm!!"

Lady commented standing in attitude, with crossing arms and tapping fingers on arm.

"You are taking everything wrong Dadima'' . Maan spoke. "She is KC staff. She is new and never been here before. We were going to site nearby, when I had to stop here to meet you and she might have come here finding me"

"Are you telling truth Maan!"

"Don't you believe me Dadi"

She smiled, stroked his cheek. "I do beta, now go and check her, is she fine!! Poor child was so scared!!''

Maan nodded. He kissed her forehead "Bye Dadi''

Dadi mouthed a kiss dearly. "Bye beta"

Maan left. Dadi follows his stern retreating figure going away in attitude.

Maan came back. He watched Geet was sitting silent. She had been cursing herself for being so careless, might had cried too. He came and sat behind the wheel. Geet glimpsed him. He was looking very angry; her face became dull in sadness.

Geet collected her courage to ask him for forgiveness. "I am sorry sir..."

But before she could complete, Maan started car in frustration, that rest words stuck in her throat. Her eyes could not gather courage to meet with his. Maan was enjoying her plight. He wanted to play with her, gain her attention and this incident was providing her full chance. Rain started again in full speed. Geet was not able to find any way to say him sorry and here Maan was waiting for her to pamper him, but she were doing nothing and than car stopped suddenly on middle of road.

"Shittt!!!"

He banged on driving wheel being irritated made Geet jump in shock.

"What happened sir!!"

But Maan did not reply. He came down and hurried to front of car and opened cover to check it.

"Thank God it was minor problem" He closed down the cover and opened door to hop inside when got shocked!!!

Geet was not inside.

Precap : "Where have you gone Geet!!!!!'' Maan shouted then hugged her tight, keeping her glued to his body...
