The Downpour... Part 17

Maan was lying on bed in his room. He was thinking about Geet. For the time being, he was not accepting the way life was changing with Geet around. Everything was so sudden. Everything was happening without his permission which never happened before. The way Geet had started impacting on his mind, his heart was getting jealous. But it seemed like a kind of need of life. It felt that something strange thing was filling the missing part of his life. He could not deny the arrival of this unknown, pleasurable emotion. He had to accept it, rather by effort or his allowance. But the fact was, she had already stepped, inside.

"But what should I call this feeling? Is it love??? No I don't think so; I mean how it can be possible!! I don't accept first-sight love thing!! If it were right then why didn't I feel for her when we had met before!!!! If it would be true then why I didn't love her when she had come to office, leaving out love, I even fought with her, shouted her and threw out!! I guess it is only sympathy. A care which I do for my Annie. Geet is also a girl, she is alone here, in trouble, and so I want to help her, nothing else.. Its only that I like her but it's not love and if it is.. Then I would have to find out, it soon!!!''

He closed eyes and Geet face appeared. Her innocence and beautiful face started to make him loose his sense and he went in peaceful slumber.

"Asha, did you get any help?'

Geet was worried. They had loosed every single coin they had and now, not even for house-rent they had anything. It was month last and very soon, they would need for handsome amount for their daily expenses.

"No Geet I could not. You know na, how much expensive this city is, and no one have such money that they could give us in urgent. But you don't worry, I will try to ask for advance –salary from office' She patted Geet cheek. "Now I'm really feeling tired Geet, going to bed. Good night!'

Geet smiled composedly. She also came back in room but could not keep quiet her wondering mind. It was the time when she found peace in loneliness. She went to mirror and saw her reflection. Something was different, she found in her.

She touched her cheeks. His touch was still there, she could feel it.

"What was that!'' question arose, leaving her mind totally uneasy. "He touched me, he kissed me, why didn't I stop him?''

She touched her neck, her hairs. His affect was there. "Why did I let him do this?''

"Why didn't I fight back? He was the same person which I had hated most but why I felt secure when he was around me! Was it because he helped me? But that doesn't mean he could have touched me without my allowance.''

"But I never denied too!!'' "let him do whatever he wished, but why, he did this!!''

She lay on bed and pulled blanket till chest.

"Does he feel for me?'' She took turn.

"Geet are you gone mad!! Didn't you remember what Asha told? He is millionaire; he doesn't need any ordinary girl like you stupid!! It was just, he would have been usual of this kind of behaviors. Don't you see in movies how rich boys and girls touch each other, give friendly hugs in big cities, he must be doing same with you!!''

"Hm'

The answer she found satisfied her and she slept being tired.

Maan woken up with the thought of Geet.

"How would she be feeling now?''

He picked up phone to call her then eyes fell on time. It was time of before morning. He shook head, almost laughed on himself.

"Maan I think you need you see doctor''

He stood up and went to start morning exercise.

Though he had made his heart understand, it was only a friendly concern for her but still, he was acting weird. he was going impatient to see her, to know, how is she?

"And for this you would have to wait for couple of days Maan!!'

He was pitying on his own unstable condition .

Finishing his morning routine he got ready for office and after breakfast, left.

"Asha I also want to join office''

Geet words from back stopped hastening steps of Asha. She turned back and saw her too, all ready to go.

But Geet you had said earlier, that you will not..''

"Ya Ash I had said but now I want to do this job. I don't want you only struggling for our spending. I will also help you. And Ash, you don't need to ask to your friends for money, we will manage everything, right!'

She smiled. It was like after long Geet was feeling contended. She was feeling a new start was waiting for her and she had to step in. Ash smiled back..

"And Geet, you don't need to be scared of Maan sir. This time, I promise you, I will be with you only,!!!''

She hugged Geet. Geet nodded and they left.

"Ash now I don't need to be worry for anything'' She thought.

"Geet, if you can trust me, I will make everything alright in your life, it's my promise''

Maan words crossed her mind. She smiled automatically. "I do trust you Maan''

Geet was sitting in office, in lounge room and was feeling very anxious. After last night, many things had changed between them, at least for Geet. How would Maan react, how would she have to behave with him, was lingering in his mind, making her very nervous. She was praying to God to do everything smooth.

"Please Babaji"

Maan did not know her arrival. He was in meeting and when he came out of hall, something pulled him to the direction, where Geet was. He had been worried for her since morning but was tightly held up with work that could not get time to call her but now, everything felt placid and relaxed suddenly. The same peace, he had experienced that day in cabin when Geet was hiding behind his desk.

"But how I can feel it when I know, she is not around!' his mind said but heart disagreed. He knew, something was there, in his favor and lost in thoughts, Maan crossed longue place and he saw her.

His eyes could not believe, it blinked twice, thrice, in rapid to get clearer view that, was it true!!!

"Am I dreaming her?''

His eyes go across the glass wall and stopped on Geet, who was sitting, bowing down her face. Maan could not wish for more. It was like, his wish had been granted before he started praying for it. A delighted smile touched his lips. He raised hand and touched her reflection through wall. His finger traced her every feature stroking on glass.

"I didn't know, my destiny is more eager to unfold our relation, then me!!''

He thought. Before Geet could see him, he left gladly..

Precap : (Same) "What is this Maan, why did you send them?????'' Geet was so shocked to see a maid and doctor in her house
