Chapter 15: Oh my that was painful. Very painful. I don't know whom should I feel more for Maan or for Geet.
They both are equally hurt ... and their reactions were something I expected out of the whole web they are in woven so cruelly & manipulatively by Anant. Though somewhere I had expected something drastic to take place by Anant's knowledge of something going on but didn't know it will leave everything so shattered with just bits of hurt & broken hearts needing desperate tending to & putting them together yet the cracks will be visible & painful. If he can do something so solid & evil just for someone he felt could ruin his reputation and go ahead and hurt his so pretended love for his granddaughter then if he comes to know that the said person is Maan then I dread to imagine what steps he will take.
I wouldn't blame Anant completely though ... Its mainly due to their own insecurities & pain that has caused the budding relation to be crumbling so badly & cruelly. I would say Anant was smart & quite experienced to use Geet's weaknesses to make his hold stronger & his will to manifest.
It must have been quite hurting for Maan to hear such accusations when we was going to propose her. But then he too here is not so forthcoming. He too has remained in shadows & has somewhere given fuel to Geet's fears & inner self doubt. If he was ready to put the past behind and start anew by proposing her then why did he go to kanpur, why didn't he soothe her in her times of doubt, why did he brush of her sadness on his rejection. He is equally to be blamed I suppose. He isn't put his past to rest so this hurt was needed & was quite good it happened because if not so then again their relation would be on unsteady grounds & foundations. Reet in one single part you make feel varied emotions for your characters. Maan here in one part... I adore, love, find me so charming, so teenager to plan for proposing, hate him for doing favours for Dia (though its his own need to help her reasons known and justified by him... ) Awesome writing. 👏
Geet is bound to have been so. Her nature though impulsive is also very insecure. Her Dadaji used it for her own downfall. Her anger took the better of her. Also it was her own inferiority feelings, dejection and self doubt & deeply wounded soul that was brought out in form of blind anger that broke him & hurt both the most. It will haunt her more now...
