Epilogue

Maan took Geet's hand and said," Geet, I can't wait anymore. I want you to be mine in a way no one can dare separate us anymore.

Geet smiled and said," I had enough of distance as well. But Maan, I cannot talk to papaji about us. One I had proudly proclaimed about you saying you will andle everything once you know. Papaji had warned me against our status difference. I know today about your situation but that was first time ever I could not meet papji's eyes. I felt I had let him down chosing you. So, don't get me wrong..."

Maan hugged her tighter knowing how much his actions had hurted her and how much she dealt with alone. He said softly," I know I had left you alone but no more. I want you to be the little Geetu I had fallen with. Don't worry; I will meet your papaji. Come let's go to your house.

Geet watched his determined eyes and together rode back. Geet was quite apprehensive about him meeting her father. Once they reached her house, Geet tentatively rang the bell. Rano opened the door to find Geet with a guy. Rano had seen this guy many times in Tv and newspapers. Who did not know The Maan Singh Khurana? But she remembered him from an entirely different encounter.

She smiled and welcomed both. As they wear about to settle down Mohinder entered the drawing room. Maan stood up as Mohinder approached him. As they both stood face to face Geet watched the tension between two men she loves the most. Maan said in a soft voice," You remember uncle you told me that I can touch your feet the day I win back Geet."And he bent down to take Mohinder's ashirvaad when Mohinder stopped him and pulled him into a hug.

Breaking the hug he said," I knew you would win not only the battle against your father but also the war against Geet's insecurities. I can see my old over pampered beti back and I cannot thank you enough for that."

Maan:" Uncle don't thank me for anything. I was the cause of everything."

Mohinder:" And you are also the medicine beta."

Geet who was utterly confused stood up and shouted," Will anyone explain me what is going on and papaji, how do you know Maan?"

Mohinder settled down on the sofa asking everyone to sit. He then went on explaining ho a year back Maan came to him with Armaan and confessed everything to him. He had come to give the company papers and the land papers. Everything was transferred to Geet's name. To say Mohinder was furious was an understatement. Mohinder had never let sadness touch his princess and this guy had made her cry tears of blood. It was Rano who had made him understand that Maan had been in pain too.. That was when Mohinder said that he would forgive Maan only if he can return his princess to the way she used to be.

Geet was stunned and watched Maan with love filled eyes. Maan again said in a soft voice," Uncle, I know I am not the right person to talk to you about it. But I want to ask something fom you. I want to marry Geet. She is my life and for some strange reason I am her life as well. I cannot stay away from her anymore. Please give us your permission and blessings. I know Geet will not move a step ahead with me without your consent and even I don't want her to. You have a loving family and nobody other than me can understand the value of it. I just request you to make me a small part of it."

Geet could feel her eyes getting teary at his heart felt confession. Geet knew that this man had everything yet all he wanted was a little love.

Mahinder said," beta, I know my geet will be very happy with you. But, what about your family's opinion? Marriage is not just about you two and it would require your family's acceptance as well. I don't want my beti to go to a place she is not welcomed."

Calling bell rang again as soon as Mohinder finished his words. Maan smiled and said," Uncle if my guess is right your worry will be answered."

Rano opened the door to welcome Savitri Devi Khurana and Vicky inside. Savitri Devi came and at first hugged Maan saying," I hope I am not too late. The flight was delayed."

Maan nodded his head negatively and turned to mohinder saying," Uncle, this is my Dadima.And dadima, they are Geetu's parents."

Everybody greeted each other politely and said," Mohinder ji, first of all I will ask forgiveness for my son's and to some extent my own misdoings. I cannot explain how ashamed I am about our behaviour. I will request your daughter's hand for my eldest grandson. I assure you, your daughter will be living like a daughter in our house, not daughter-in-law. She will be accepted and respected as herself."

The elegance and royalty was oozing out of Savitri Devi even when she sounded genuine. After a little consideration Mohinder and Rano gave their consent for the relationship making two souls the happiest person in the world. Geet whispered softly to maan," See Mr. Khurana, didn't I tell you that we are meant to be together and nothing can kee us apart?"

Maan smiled and held her softly and said," I know Geetu and I thank God for that."

After 2 years

Maaneet marriage had been a low key affair timed such that Samaira and Dev could attend. Needless to say the friend group had a blast. Dev and Samaira's engagement was also announced few days later. Maan had taken Geet for honeymoon in the city of Paris. Coming back the first thing Geet did was to transfer everything back to Maan's name much to Maan's protest. Till date she is trying to bridge gaps between Abhisekh Khurana and the rest of the family. Abhisekh and Geet had formed a beautiful father-daughter bond and he regrets his misdoings.

Geet was smiling and thinking all the events of past two years. She had a blissful life but most importantly Khurana mansion was no more just a house but it is a home now. Geet was blissful to find a dadi and mother in savitri, a father in abhisekh, a younger brother in Vicky, a elder brother in Dev and a friend cum sister in samaira. But she was lucky to have maan in her life who was her friend, her lover, her companion, her guide but most importantly her husband.

Maan had gone for an oversea trip and returned back only to find a smiling Geet looking through the family album. She can't thank God enough for gifting him Geet. Geet had tied everyone into a single thread making few drifted people as family again. He slowly crept and hugged her from back and kissed her nape softly sayong," I missed you Geetu."

Geet turned back to find her husband tired from trip yet looking breathtakingly handsome. She softly kissed him on his lips showing exactly how much she missed him. Maan deepened the kiss and held her softly in his arms. Geet hugged him once she felt herself breatheless.

Maan whispered softly into her ears,"Happy anniversary Mrs. Khurana!!! So did you find time for getting me a gift or were you too busy with the marriage preparations for Dev and Samaira?"

Geet hugged him tighter feeling his soft tone giving her goosebumps. Maan softly nudged her with his noes saying," Comeon Geetu, either give me a gift or be ready for the punishment."

His tone stated clearly how intense her punishment would me. She had been missing him as well. Geet softly took his hands and kept on her stomach whispering," Happy anniversary Papa!!!"

Maan couldn't believe her. His Geet is having a little part of him growing within her. She made her look at him to confirm and hugged her tighter saying," Thank you Geetu!!! I can't tell you how blessed I am feeling right now! We are going to be parents Geetu!! Very soon a little geetu will roam around me with same cuteness, same naughtiness and same beautiful heart."

Geet who was smiling frowned hearing the last statement and said," No I want a little maan."

Maan smiled and hugged her kissing her forehead. Once he had thought they won't ever be together and today they are walking together and very soon will be welcoming a little one they have created with their life... Truly, his Geetu was right. They had always belonged together.
