Happy Birthday Reva (Yappingduck)

Six and twenty years ago... on a moonless night there was a boring show going on TV while a young couple sat in the living room watching the repeat telecast of a show which would give any other person a head ache.
The man looked at his wife who was crying at a scene which wasn't emotional at all. His eyes then fell on the big bump, and smiled. It must be the baby, he thought looking at his wife amused. Ever since his wife got pregnant she was behaving out of character and though he never believed in predictions, he had to after he saw the randomness with his eyes. His ever sweet wife who was not interested in TV dramas was watching all sort of crap, she who never ate much craved random stuff, and she developed a special liking for dogs all of a sudden. All of these, he concurred are a part of the hormones, but was worried if the baby inside her womb was into action, and was taking a toll.
He smiled and shook his head looking back at the TV, and saw the hero go shirtless.
"Not again" he mumbled looking away. He was more than sure that the baby was a girl. He could feel it.
A Panditji told him that the time the baby would be born will hold significance. He prayed she should be born early in the morning, the auspicious time of dawn.
A painful shriek from his wife distracted him as he looked at her who was having labor pains...
Two hours later...
He took the baby with bright dark eyes into his hands as she peered at him curiously with a frown. He was right after all, it was a baby girl. He dropped a kiss on her forehead and his eyes drifted to look at the wall clock and he blinked uncertainly.
8:20 PM. Dinner time. He stared at the baby in his hands.
His daughter would definitely turn into a foodie and would develop into a Pankha of some TV actor in future, he was sure. He grinned as he kissed her cheek now. His life would be entertaining from now on...

"Make it Feb 30^th."

The clerk looked up at her surprised "Madam that is not a date. It comes once in four years I think."

Reva rolled her eyes "That is Feb 29^th Sir. That comes in a leap year. Feb 30^th never comes."

Clerk was itching his bald head. No wonder he had gone prematurely bald. Working with lawyers day in and day out had taken its toll. They bent the laws to suit themselves.

Clerk "But madam the computer is saying that…"

Reva banged the desk "Who cares what your stupid computer says. Just change the date and print a piece of paper. How long can that take?"

Clerk "Sure madam I will print it."

Reva smiled and looked at her new birth certificate. The lady in black that was her had changed the laws of the country to change the date of her birth. She would never have another birthday again ever! Was this awesome and amazing or what?

She came back home to look at her parents with a worried expression. They were sitting with a numerologist cum astrologist cum astronomer.

Astrologer was scratching his head "But the stars are not aligning for this date. Whoever she marries will become house husband in three days. Which guy will marry her at this rate? We have to change her birthday to a more auspicious date."

Reva smirked "I don't care about husband and house. I will change his birthday too and then all the astrology will change again. I am the only girl with no birthday. I am timeless and ageless."

To be contd if Reva madam has not killed Sheesh by now. Before I die my last words are 'Happy birthday'...diskhaaooo
