Hey guys!
Back again, quite so soon with another installment.
Do read and like and comment and criticize!
Makes my day to read your comments:)
So here you go...
Past unravels
As their love travels...
Recap:
Unintentionally her hand reached his collar to hold tight and it grazed over something, something familiar, something metallic, something she had once owned-something she had tied around his neck; tying him to her for the rest of their lives to come. It was the Taveez, the sacred locket that she had given him ages ago, which he still wore.

Which he still wore...

-----------------------------
The amulet brought back memories, memories of a distant past, memories that

The amulet brought back memories, memories of a distant past, memories that connected her to this country she was tied to, all those years back. The irony, she learned now, was that she was tied to India even before meeting Maan.

Her Nani had been an Indian, a resident of Punjab; that's where Geet had got her name from! And Geet had visited her during her early childhood. Out of all those hazy memories of her visits to her Nani in India, Geet clearly remembered that day during her last visit. As if it was etched in her memory.

She was twelve, when her mother had last brought her to India during summers. It was a yearly routine. Her grandmother had been a petite old woman with white hair and crinkled skin but none the less beautiful; filled with so much affection and empathy. Geet remembered her Nani helping neighbors, babysitting children, and going to people's places around to help with petty chores from cooking delicacies to drying chilies. She was a selfless woman; giving more than taking.

It was the last day of her stay when her Nani had sat in the verandah, telling Geet about the wars and the bloodshed both countries had seen. For an illiterate, she was knowledgeable; smartened and sharpened under worldly life and circumstances. Geet had always been fascinated by the historical accounts her Nani gave.

"Geet, there are differences everywhere, there will be wars and then there will be peace" she had said to little Geet.

"The cycle will continue forever."

"But Nani maa, doesn't all the bloodshed lead to destruction; won't it hamper harmony?" Little Geet asked.

"It will. Why won't it? But we should understand that we cannot help it."

"Then we are good for nothing" Geet exclaimed, her childish stubborn instinct taking over.

"Who said that? Geet, a life saved is a war prevented"

"I don't understand" Geet's eyes went wide with questions.

"You will, one day" her Nani said with a smile to a visibly confused Geet.

"Here, take this" her grandmother said twirling a black thread that had a small amulet beaded in.

"This Taveez will bind you to my country. Your destiny will bind you to my country. Your heart will bind you to my country; when I am no more and one day, you will understand."

And the Taveez had bound her to India; eventually the sacred amulet had bound her to India.

Her Nani's India;
Her Maan's India.

Her destiny had bound her to India but more than anything else, her heart had bound her to India. Her Nani was right she thought looking up at Maan who was holding her tightly. His hand clutching her body and the other cradling her head as the winds circled them like a possessed hunter would circle its bait.

Maan's eyes were crinkled as he tried to see past the storm. And Geet's gaze went to the Taveez that now hung down from his neck as he stooped over her.

Storms always have a way with us!

Geet had been out holidaying with her gal pals in Canada when the weather had gone caput. Soft evening snow had taken an ugly turn as the hailstorm began, showering lands with harsh cold snow. Her friends had left thinking Geet went in the Caravan that left before while Geet was busy wandering down the hill. When she came back, there was no one. Just no one!

Geet had been left alone at their hiking point, lonely, cold and scared in the post dusk darkness that now engulfed the gentle rise of hill.

She had tried calling her friends but none picked up, perhaps they were out of coverage. Her first thought was to call Maan up but thought against it knowing that Maan would worry hell and earth; and worst, get mad at her. He had warned her against this 'hiking thing' since it wasn't her cup of tea; but as always she had been her stubborn self.

Though now she regretted, perhaps he was somewhere in a Canadian bar chilling with his friends and she was here on a cold hill, chilling, literally!

Her phone rang, giving a sigh of respite. But that was short-lived as she saw the caller ID.

It was Maan.

"Hello…. Maan" she stuttered in the cold, trying to keep the shivering off her voice.

"Where. Are. You" came his cold question from the other end and she shivered, this time not due to the hail.

"Well….We are still at the hill…ummm" she tugged hard at her jacket lapel as cold blood seethed through her body. What was she supposed to say? That I am on a tree picking mangoes!

"Tug the jacket harder baby, you're gonna need it"

And her head instantly whizzed.

Crap. He is here.

And there he was, climbing up the slope, which lead to the peak she stood at.

Double Crap. He is actually here.

She cut off the phone and braced herself for his outburst. He came to her but his anger didn't. It shone in his eyes. His dark brown eyes, luminous as frost under rage, spit daggers at her and Geet convulsed momentarily.

She was about to speak in-between her tremors when he tugged her hand hard and started walking back. No word said, no talk exchanged; he just caught hold of her and dragged her back walking deftly down the hill.

His speed was fast, furious as he took long strides; clearly venting his anger out. Geet tried to keep pace but just couldn't manage. Her heart was singing, dancing somewhere among flowers of spring as her Maan was here!

Yes! Her heart was somersaulting since now, her man was here to take her!

Even if he was angry, even if he wouldn't talk to her, even if he was super mad at her- Chuck it!

Cause he still was here!

Maan was walking at a pace only he could match at this hour of crisis, courtesy hailstorm and Geet. Geet had tried but failed miserably falling apart as Maan felt a tug at his hand.

"What! Women keep pace" he shouted exasperated over his shoulder but froze at the sight.

Geet's eyes were drooping, her breathing was raged and her legs were about to give up on her.

Tiredness,

Fatigue,

Cold and

Him, his heavenly presence and the relief it brought made her relax. The adrenaline drained out of her veins on having Maan by her side.

"Geet" he took her in his arms, steadying her.

Patting her face he tried reviving her but she was lost. And he had no other option but to carry her. Bending down, he scooped her up in his arms, her pale face cradled on his chest, her body shivering. Maan knew better than to carry her for long in the cold weather. She could catch pneumonia. He had to find shelter. And his scout training took over as he recollected an old worn out cottage he had passed on his way.

Breathing a sigh of relief he started walking to the cottage, glancing at Geet. A ghost of smile played in his eyes as he saw her exhausted in his arms.

And she says she can go hiking!

-----------------------------

Kicking open the wooden door, Maan entered into a small cozy cottage. It was dark and cold and Maan set Geet on the bed he found nearby. Quickly setting out for wood and fire, he found a mantle full of wood and fire place at a far corner. Perhaps this was a lumber house that only came into handy during summers and autumns.

And the blessed lumberjacks had left behind enough wood to last a night for lost, bickering, cold lovers!

Lighting the fire place Maan turned back towards Geet. The room was now illuminated; lights and shadows bouncing off white walls on all sides creating a chasm of sorts. It was like the multiple reflections in a diamond!

Maan ran to Geet seeing her relax, this wasn't good since her body was going cold and reflexes were weakening. She was unconscious to make things worse. Without a second thought he opened her jacket lapels and slipped it off her. Next he pulled her sweater over and found another shock! She was wet, her T-shirt clung to her body and Maan cursed under his breath.

His hands were about to tug the hem of her T-shirt when he suddenly froze.

This was wrong.

This wasn't right.

She was his in every way but this was an unsaid pact, an undrawn line…..This was a lock whose key he had handed to her. As much as he wanted her, it was her he had given the right to decide. This aspect of their relationship was her choice and till date she hadn't made one.

But now it was no more a choice but a necessity; it wasn't his need but her life. He had to keep her warm until morning and there was no other way he could do that than provide his own body heat.

The thought made him numb and aroused at the same time. Only Geet could evoke such conflicting emotions in him! But now, she was more important than their love. And he made up his mind.

Looking away, he slowly pulled the hem of her T-shirt up and took it off her. She now clung to him in a seated position only in her inners. Body to body, skin to skin, he shuddered at the contact; so did she. She dug her hands deeper into his back, now color returning to her pale face as Maan held her in his embrace breathing harshly.

"Maan" she whispered hoarsely and he pulled apart to see her eyes partially open.

"I love you" she muttered, her voice sincere and surrendering; tremors still racking her body.

That was it, that was his undoing, her surrender and the shivers; he knew she would hate him next morning but this was the only way to take her to that morning. Opening his own jacket and pulling out his T-shirt he joined her, laying her gently on the bed. Her eyes were still open, now staring at his body which he had recently uncovered.

"I'm sorry Mishty" he went down beside her and kissed her eyes, then nose, trailing kisses down her face to her neck and cleavage.

He stopped at her cleavage and started circling her breasts over the bra, his fingers toyed with her nipples as they strained under the fabric, causing heat to course down her body. She writhed under him, her eyes drooping and opening on their own accord as he mumbled sweet nothings in her ear.

She was responding as if she was right there, her lips parted and hands knotted in his hair as he proceeded down her body, feeling every inch of her, giving his warmth to every inch of her.

"Maan" she moaned, arching her back as he reached the spot.

And he gave a soft smile, bittersweet though!

Hope you understand me Geet.

And he kissed her right above her sex, over her jeans and she squirmed underneath him.

Deftly he undid her button and fly and then his own, pulling their under clothes off too. Settling himself between her legs, his manhood hovered over her plumpness. She was wet, wet and ready as he kept teasing her to build the heat. He wanted her as warm as possible.

"Oh Maan" She moaned as her eyes sprung open again.

"I love you Mishty. You are mine." He said heavily as his own breathing increased.

"Mine" he repeated.

"Yours" She said.

"Forever" He whispered, more of a question.

"Forever"

She repeated as he entered her with his fingers slowly, breaking her barrier first to reduce her pain. She bucked under pain but relaxed visibly as he crooned against her neck, kissing her over and over.

"Its Ok Mishty. You'll be fine. Trust me"

And that mocked him.

Trust me! She never would henceforth.

"Maan, please" she cried for her relief.

And he couldn't wait, his own self control giving up as he entered her in a single thrust, gently and slowly setting a rhythm, his rhythm, their rhythm.

They were all sensation and sweat and cries and moans and sweet, sweet pain mixed pleasure as both tumbled into the abyss most call love.

Panting and replete, warm and cozy; Geet lay covered by Maan's body as he tried to give away all his heat to her. Her eyes closed even as a smile played over her lips. Maan lifted his sweaty head from her bosom, kissing lightly on her smiling lips.

"Forgive me Mishty"

And he let sleep take over them with a heavy heart.

So another mystery to unravel,
Another path to travel... Lets see what their past holds And what does their future behold!
Do leave me your views!
Someone told me to advertise myself but I feel my writing should do so. Please do let me know, it means a lot.
And oh yeah, I have made a Video mix on a song that suits their jorney. It doesnt completely fit in but does connect remotely to the story. I reccomend you watch it after part III.

I feel short of words to praise the flow of the story and more important, the way you present it..It feels like enjoying a melody..There is an artistic streak in your writing..You don't write but paint the scenario with your words..Its impossible to pick a single line from your updates to tag it as "best" because till I reach the end, everything seems better than the best...👏
Please take a bow from your die hard fanatic...
You are one of the best writers,I have come across on GF,,,😊
If you allow me,can i give the link of your story to my friends here???
