Meet the contestants of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Season 6

• JDJ got its very first contestant in singing sensation Shaan. After making his listeners groove on his hit number It's the time to disco; it's now his turn to bat on a different pitch 'or rather should we say, shake his leg. News is that JDJ 4 winner choreographer Marischa Fernandes will return to the show as Shaan'spartner in crime. Will Marischa be able to continue her winning stride or not, we will all have to wait and watch
• Buzz in the industry was that Sanaya Irani had won the entry ticket to JDJ by defeating Drashti Dhami. But then we were caught by the wrong bug. TV's reining queen; the scintillating and vivacious Madhubala aka Drashti is bracing her moves to rock on the dance floor. She managed to carve a niche for self by donning role of Geet and now rules the roost as Madhu. Reportedly she will be teamed up with choreographer Salman. She defeats everyone hands down in popularity segment. Will her humungous fan following win her the JDJ trophy, we'll have to wait till it's time
• No one can dare compete with him when it comes to putting up a comedy act or rj'ing but when it comes to dancing; Suresh Menon believes he is like a joker amongst his co-participants. He agreed to JDJ for a new kinda exposure and expects to learn a lot from his choreographer Suchitra. Dance or no dance, aren't we surely looking forward to full paisa vasool entertainment from his trio with Manish Paul and Kapil Sharma''
• After hosting season 3 of the show, it's time for sizzling Shweta Tiwari to hit the floor and make the audiences go gaga with her desi latkas and jhatkas. Her penchant for reality TV seems to have got bigger and better post winning Bigg Boss 4. This multifaceted actress had proved her prowess in acting, dancing, anchoring and surely her presence in JDJ will add to the oomph factor. Will her strong dancing skills take her to the top, we'll come to know sooner
• The handsomest bad boy of TV Karanvir Bohra, who makes you fall head over heels, is not new to dancing. He is a trained dancer and has participated in dance reality shows viz. Sony TV' Kabhi Kabhi Pyaar, Kabhi Kabhi Yaar andNach Baliye 4 with his wife. He floored the judges with his teamed up performance with Isha Shervani and Salman in season 5 of JDJ. Judges are the same but will the magic continue, his fans definitely hope so
• Another representative from B'town is renowned movie actress and former model Aarti Chhabria. Her never say die attitude won her the Khatron Ki Khiladhi season 4 and now she is all geared up to stamp and stomp the show. We have seen her moves on 90mm screen but now on the small screen will she be able to sweep the JDJ trophy, is yet to be seen
• The beautiful damsel in distress, Sahiba aka Ekta Kaul of Rab Se Sona Ishqfame, will be seen matching her steps to her co-contestants. It will surely be interesting to watch coy and reserved Ekta to break loose on dance floor. We are yet to find out more about her dancing abilities but surely she is in for some serious competition. Will she be able to stand the storm, yes'no'yes'no'.let's see
• Balaji' blue eyed boy Eijaz Khan will mark his return on small screen with JDJafter Sony TV' Shubh Vivah. We understand his shoulder injury was the reason for his absence onscreen and he is still recuperating from the same. In such a scenario how wise is his decision to participate in dance show of level of JDJ, we will soon find out
• She participated in season 3 of U.S edition of So You Think You Can Dance and finished in top 6. She enchanted us with her dazzling performance in the movieABCD and will soon be seen shaking her booty on JDJ. Internationally acclaimed choreographer Lauren Gottlieb; after having choreographed Tom Cruise and Shakira; will yet again turn contestant for a dance show. Will the choreographer assigned to her (most likely Punit) be able to match up to her, dekhna padega
• He wooed us with his the guy next door kinda performance as Shivraj Shekharaka Shiv in Balika Vadhu making him one of the favourite damad of Indian telly. He is now ready to show us his moves on the dance floor. Will Siddharth Shukla, the winner of Best Model of the World 2005 be able to steal our hearts with his dance performance, hmmm''
• To break free from the label of Ammaji, we will get to see a new modern and ravishing avatar of Meghna Malik. She is a renowned TV artist and worked in number of shows, however it was Na Aana Is Des Laado that got her the deserving applaud. Will Ammaji be able to rock the dance stage, we will get to know soon
• Last but not the least, the little dancing wonders who will surely give rest of the contestants a run for their money are India's Got Talent 4 winners Maraju Sumanth and Sonali Majumdar. They excel in Salsa moves but will they be able to do justice to other dance styles is yet to be seen

Dancing in front of Madhuri makes Lauren nervous

Ace dancer and actress Lauren Gottlieb, winner of third season of "So You Can Think You Can Dance", is jittery about performing in front of Bollywood dancing diva Madhuri Dixit on "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6".

Madhuri is co-judging the show with filmmaker Karan Johar and choreographer-director Remo Fernandes.

"I think it is good to be nervous. I am always nervous when I perform. It gives me that adrenaline rush. I think it will be extra nerve-wracking to perform in front of Madhuri. She had been brought to my eyes last year. No one can compare to her," Lauren told IANS.

But at the same time, she feels that "both, in films and dancing, I feel I can relate to her. She just has a remarkable career and I think I can learn so much from her", she added.

Lauren confesses that she would be unable to do justice to any of Madhuri's songs. The Indian actress has dazzled everyone with her dance numbers "Ek Do Teen", "Chane ke khet mein" and "Dhak dhak karne laga".

"I don't know if I can dance to one of her songs. I don't know if anyone can do justice as she does," she said.

Starting her career in India with dance film, "ABCD", Lauren is "excited to push myself to my limits" on the show starting June 1.

"The person I am, I can compete to an extent. I can have fun with it, but at the end of the day I want everyone to do their best. I feel the only person who I can compete with is yourself. I am excited to push myself to my limits. I am a fan of all the artists. If anyone needs help, I will help and we will build that friendship," she said.

The actress looks at "Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa" as a challenge.

"It will be difficult. This will be a completely new way of dancing and moving. The music and culture of dancing here is so foreign to me. I want to try to pick it up," she said and added that she is trying to catch up previous season on YouTube.
