Shika what should I say... I'm just stuck with a single word - Beautiful!!!! 👏
Indeed It was Fading Music... fading pain & memories that otherwise appear to have become old wound that had caused pain... but unlike physical wounds these are wounds on emotional self & soul... such strong gashes that shook her belief & dreams... that though now they're scars but cause more hurt, guilt & pain when looked at as the revival of those memories make you come face to face with the fact that these wounds have not healed but have just penetrated deeper into her being as an adherent scar that is stuck to her since years.
The music used her was just like the soul of the part... Rahman music always does have this magic in it, very soulful & yet serene. The whole dance sequence with the lyrics was well gelled in... the line 'mere pass hai tu' was so reflective of Geet's anguish & pain which was seen in her end chants of 'Missing Naina '.
This web of love has entangled them all. New beginnings to many things... as she liberated herself from her shackle of not being able to dance as she lost her soul & meaning to it due to her past By stepping into a place that was a reminder of her shared passion towards that soulful art off dancing. While he too realized that he isn't the only one who is haunted by past scars & that she too like him needs someone to provide the band-aid for healing to take place... but he isn't willing to be that provider of aid to her as of now, as she has shown him a mirror to his own misery.
I only hope that as his whole perspective regarding her changed somewhat by seeing her emote her pain in that once closed ballroom which she opened up (in a way opened her emotional suppression of years) he too would be able to do so someday soon aided by the gush of wind that carried the sound of chimes.
Continue soon... I love you for sharing such beautiful pieces of your talent with us... 🤗
