dont thank me darling. when i see something good i like to let the others know... be it good or bad 😆
I definitely want to know about bad parts. Feel free to tell me whenever I falter
okay darling let me tell u something. being predictable is one thing but to have gained the trust of your reader about ur future storyline is another.i read this book "How to Read Literature like a Professor" as one of my summer reading back when i was in high school. one of their main points about the story about the hero heroine of any literary piece was that its got only two things really. if you get to the basics its always boy meets girl and either end up together or part ways. how, where, etc these two meet and end up is different but the essence in every piece be it amateur or pro the underlying plot is the same. so when someone says a storyline was predictable, i mean who are we kidding... for ages it has come to be predictable. i mean let's face it we are all humans and come with same set of primitive thinking and past experiences dressed in various avatars but you get to the core its all the same.but on the other hand when a reader becomes confident of a writer's work and goes ahead to trust the author for shaping a wonderful story, it surely doesnt mean the writer has become predictable it just means he/she has grown to become trustworthy. there are so many authors who make absolutely amazing introductions and have promising storylines only to end up with the most sh**** (excuse my language) endings just because the author felt it would be different.so my point is, there is really nothing to feel as a failure when a reader trusts you with what you are going to give them. gaining a reader's trust isnt easy as writing a story. its a slow process and in the end if you gain his/her trust, its the best achievement or compliment you can receive.Okay, now this let me little speechless. I understand what you said and yes we all come with a basic skeletal part, which is almost same, and I don't want to come up with extraordinarily different concept either. In all true sense I do not think I have the caliber to think of such unique concepts. What I write is what I feel about few things. The ideologies I believe in would be transferred to stories which would convey what I think about things. That was why I started writing anyway, to voice my views which i thought were slightly different from people around me...And anyway writing is like cooking. Though the recipe of a dish is basic and similar, each of us when cook it, the taste would be slightly different. We all have our special touch to make it solely ours.
I am not saying I want to be different which means I will try to cook with non edible items. When I say I want to be different, I mean different from what I have been. May be some garam masala here and there, may be some change in the items, but on the whole I want a transformation, from bad to better, and only when that transformation keeps on happening will a writer grow...
