I had a friend whose older daughter, placed her new born child sibling near the garbage can, because she didn't want him and wanted to throw him away. I have seen older sibling's jealousy a lot, but if handled properly they are the one's who suddenly become extremely protective of their younger siblings.

Ok I thought a lot about it, and I still don't get, how he could hit her. I am thinking what if this were a real situation How would that woman feel. The fact is, he reacted instinctively. There was no thought behind the action, it was just a reaction. What does that say about her place in his life. Why is she a second class citizen in this marriage. I am really waiting to see how Geet is going to handle this situation. That woman is not normal and she has never reacted the way I expected her to, in any of thesituations, but I still can't get my head around this mess. I wouldn't condone it even if the situation was turned around and it was Geet who had hit him. It's not about a man hitting a woman. It is just the issue of where do they stand with each other in this relationship.

Usne Geet ke muh pe thappad nahi, apne pair pe kulhadi maari hain, and I'm sure that uss thappad ki gunj is going to rattle around in his his brain for a long time to come. I bet he is counting 1 to 10 over and over again now.
