Then his ma's words played in his head making him wonder. Wat happened to the guy in her life. Nahi nahi.. but her land lady did mention she never had any such things.
Probably that guy fooled her.

oh God yah kya hogaya mujhe se. she is so innocent she doesn't even know anything. Some body would have fooled her tricked her into all this. Warna tho his Geet would never do anything like this. How could I leave her alone like this, especially when she needed my guidance & support the most. Like his anger just vanished in thin air. He was frustrated & angry at self to have not seen this side of it. He couldn't curse himself enough. Wo tho nadan thi.. at least I should have taken care of her. Kitne bharosen se her parents handed over her to me. All the memories of their wedding & owes he took to protect her played back in him. He made up his mind to clear everything & knock some sense into his bhatki huwi wife. (muskan abt to rip her hairs off)
Maan made attempts to meet Geet. Well that should not be difficult he thought. Ok let me call her. He just took his phone & browsed through his phone directory, remembering the day he got her number first time stored in his phone. umm.. he sighed.
PAST
How could he forget!!! he had got so worried, actually everyone in the house was worried for her & Anni.
Annie & Geet had gone for some shopping. Ma had taken the whole house on her head, kyun na hotin.. it was 8pm & no news of them. Anni's number was not reachable & no body at home had Geets number.
Even today he felt guilty for shouting at her. The moment she came in, Ma started first .. kitna kuch kaha sabne. Aur mane tho .. he hit the table in frustration, recollecting how he scolded her infront of everyone for being irresponsible for not calling up or at least living her number with some one at home.
Only when Anni said he realized Geet didn't have phone at the first place & since Anni's phone ran out of battery they couldn't call & inform.
He still wondered why Geet never spoke anything. Waisen tho itni bolthi hain, pata nahi wat had happened to her, she didn't care to fight or clarify herself .. he suddenly felt a lump in his heart why she didn't say anything to anyone. She just dipped her head & listened to all that. Neither did she made a face latter on like she used to.
Phir shayad ma ne meren kahne pe aglen din ussen ye phone dilaya tha
PRESENT
he dialed the number. His heart raised in anticipation.
Geet looked at the number & excused herself from the meeting. She was bit shocked. He has never called, never.. means never.
She took a deep breath, holding her emotions ' ji
he went silent for few secs then sighed ' tum kaisen ho
a tear escaped ' teehk hoon, app?
Maan ' umm
Geet smiled within remembering his signature umm
Maan ' mujhe tum se zarori baat karni hain. He really sounded anxious now.
Geet ' kahiyen
Maan ' phone pe nahi
Geet went silent, not sure wat did he want to talk to her now.
Maan ' I will come to ur office.
Geet was taken a back & it showed in her ' ji?
Maan raised his eye brows
Geet immediately bit her tongue, mera matlab hain teehk hain. I have meeting till 4, usken baad kabhi bhi.
Maan looked at his schdule ' 7pm
Geet immediately said nahi nahi, I have to be home before 6pm, nahi tho aunty
Maan snapped in between u r meeting me. Not any.. he didn't want to complete. He was really hurt, meeting his own wife was so much an issue. Worst is that lady, she didn't approve of their meeting. That really irritated him. For god sake they r husband & wife.
She gulped her saliva 'main aunty ko inform kardongi
Maan stated ' I will see u at 6pm
Geet called aunty & informed her, for which she had to hear all sort of things.
Here Maan prepared a big lecture he was going to give his innocent bhatki huin biwi.
He was there at sharp 6 to pick her up infront of her office. She wondered if he even knew the way to her office. She was glad he did.
His eyes scanned her top to bottom, nothing had changed in her. She looked the same. His beautiful, simple, sweet wife. He was more than excited to see her, but not much was visible in his gestures. He was hopeful he will solve everything between them today.
She came around & sat silently beside him.
Geet gave him a questioning look. Maan looked here & there, suddenly losing all his words, forget the speech. He cleared his throat ' let go to some place & talk
Geet was bit taken a back. She thought wat ever it was they could talk in the car, then.. yeh sab. She was not sure wat was he up to.
Sudden uneasiness took over him. He didn't know where to start. He just wanted to buy some time. He just drove to some coffee shop.
Chalo coffee peeken baat karthen hain
she just nodded. Did her heart just skipped a beat. She was out with her husband to a coffee shop.. thud!! how much she wished to go out with him. It never happened. How much she wished he came to pick her at least once from her office.. she laughed at the irony.. & today all this happening but she was really not able to relate to it.
Maan loosened his tie a bit as they sat in the coffee shop
the waiter came with the menu card. Maan bluntly ordered ' 2 coffees
Geet corrected ' 1 black coffee & 1 green tea.
Maan looked at her, kind of registering she doesn't drink coffee. Some thing inside spoke.. how come I don't know that. He just brushed it off, trying to get his focus back on wat he wanted to talk to her.
Mujhe yeh kahna tha ki, tum
she looked at him ever so innocently he couldn't speak a word further
her eyes looked at him so trustfully, his eyes blinked.. blinked.. blinked
they waiter came back with their drinks. They had their coffee & tea silently.
Something he couldn't say all that he planned for, instaed he just kept looking at her. She was silently, patiently waiting.
Actually after a bit of initial commotion of emotion, she began to live this, moment. Her dream of being with him out like this. She did feel inhe kabse baat karne main problem hone legi. But it felt nice just to be with him. It some where soothed her loneliness of past months.
It was 6.45 more than 30mins since they arrived at the coffee shop & they were just sitting quietly. To her surprise he was not even answering his phone.
Maan tried to start the conversation, he cleared his throat couple of times
then didn't know wat to say & landed up saying ' tum itni chup kyun ho
Geet looked at him sweetly, holding back her smile & her signature O
don't know wat took over him he continued with his light chat ' u were never so silent when we came out last time he said without thinking
Geet's eyes filled up ' there was never a last time Maan she said looking into his eyes pain evident in those hazels.
he was bit taken a back with that intensity in her eyes ' wat do u mean? He tried to clarify
she smiled off sadly ' hum issen pheln aisen kabhi
she looked around & controlled her tears. She looked down reaching to her tea. She continued drinking her tea.
Maan was taken a back.. there was never a last time, they never came out.. he tried very hard to think, he doesn't like coming out thats true but they never had coffee .. wat rubbish. At lesat when he picked her up they would have .. he tried to think hard, when was it last he came to pick her up.. darkness surrounded his thoughts, followed a silence lingering again between them.
Their silence ended with a call from her land lady who was shouting at Geet. The lady was so loud, even Maan could hear her scream.
Maan was already very irritated the way the events turned out between them. This is not wat he had planned. He was supposed to talk to her. Tell her how wrong she was, but all he is been feeling is standing on the wrong side of something. Maan snatched the phone & shouted at the land lady for being rude to his wife. Dammit every body seem to take advantage of her innocence.
Geet walked out irritated, worried tensed & scared.
Maan payed the bill & followed her
he was surprised when she yelled desperately

Maan ' how dare she talks to u like that. Why do u have to put up with all that nonsense

Maan was frustrated to the core now, held her arms & shook her ' why?
Geet ' aap samjhthe kyun nahi, mujhe kitni muskil se yeh accommodation mili thi. Aab mujhe phir se koi hotel main rehna padega.
Maan was stunt like some one just slipped the floor off his feet hotel main.. he repeated
Geet was so tensed didn't read his restlessness just replied thinking it was a question ' jab taak working women hostel main room nahi miltha yah phir koi aur PG
Maan was shocked beyond words more than that was a fear of the mere thought did she have to live in hotel earlier .. working women hostel.
Geet left hastily saying a bye looking for an auto. She was terrified if the landlady will even give her deposit back without creating any fuss. Oh god wat she do now she wondered. Maan just stopped her & offered her to drive home. Geet was too tensed to refuse.
Through out the drive Maan kept looking at Geet. She looked so disturbed. As such she was not speaking much & now she went totally dumb.
She requested him to drop her little away from the main gate to avoid further clash with the landlady. She stepped out ran to her house.
Like she expected the landlady was ready with her blasting.
Landlady ' main ne tumhe phelen hi kaha tha u have to be home at 6 & look at the time now. U cannot stay here like this. I will not tolerate all this nonsense. Kis ke saat tum gulcharen.. before she could complete
Maan just walked barged in ' no body talks to my wife like that
Maan looked at Geet ' apna samna lo abhi
Geet ' lekin Maan
Maans stared back at her & she knew wat that meant. She quietly went & packed her belongings. All she had was just a bag.
She carried her air bag came out.
Maan ' yeh mujhe do, tum jaake dusra bag le aavo
Geet walked out blankly holding her air bag close to her. Her mind was thinking where will she stay, her deposit money & all. She even mentally calculated how much she would have to spend in the hotel now for next couple of days.
Everything around Maan seemed so confusing, he couldn't understand anything. First he couldn't speak to her wat he wanted to, second something taunting him inside he is missing out something like he doesn't even know she drinks tea, then t fact they never came out even for a coffee & the fact he can't remember when he last picked her from office, now this landlady & above all the truth his wife was abundant by him to live in a hotel. He can't even imagine that.
After their silent drive for few minutes Geet softly said ' woh itni buri nahi hain
Maan glared back her
Geet ' wo mera deposit bhi wapas nahi karegi
main dusren ghar ka deposit kanha se laungi
Maan braked the car angrily ' how much would u need
Geet would never take a single penny from him & she was very clear on that.
Geet looked away ' nahi I will manage
Maan was super angry with her ' how will u manage he barked
Geet very genuinely answered ' I have enough to manage in hotel for this month. Jab salary aayegi tho
Maan greeted his teeth with the mention of hotel.. Geet went mum
He drove into a posh luxury appt complex. He didn't say anything just walked straight into the management office got some keys & came out with the office manger. The manager took them to an apartment on 4th floor. He briefed them abt the facilities & showed them around. After the manager left Geet worriedly looked at Maan ' main iska rent afford nahi kar sakti
Maan snapped ' u don't have to worry abt all that

Geet put her wit together, she cant be getting confused like this. She just took her bag & began to leave.
Maan pulled her inside ' dammit u can't stay in some hotel samjhi tum
aapne liyen nahi meren liyen u stay here
Geet looked at him.. into his eyes searching for those emotions that she longed to see
All she could see was dark confusion.
Maan just left from there. He was very disturbed with the turn of events. One thing satisfied him, she was in a safe place. Don't know why he didn't bring her home. Why did he take her their instead. A question even Geet wondered. Itne haaq se ghar lejathen tho.. she shied curdling up in the huge bed.
Maan couldn't get in terms with his emotions. He was too confused with in to speak to her until they met at the counselors office.
Geet was really scared & nervous. Even meera won't be there with her here. She shot a quick prayer to her babaji before getting off the auto. Like Maan knew it.. his glance instantly traveled to that direction. Well had been doing that for past 15mins scanning the place waiting for her. The counselor was already briefed abt their case. & she did her own little study too.
3 of them had their initial greeting session.
So Maan & Geet u r married for 5yrs now. Both nodded in agreement.
Counselor ' I see that u have filed the divorce on mutual agreement. I was just curious why?
Maan looked at Geet
Geet looked down
Maan ' she filed the divorce
counselor ' & u agreed
Maan was taken a back
counselor ' u didn't want to know why?
Maan wanted to scream on top of his voice his own confusion on the same
counselor sighed, seeing that conversation not leading any where ' ok.. Maan do u love ur wife?
Geet almost missed a beat or two
Maan retorted ' yeh kaisen sawla hain. We r not lovers. She is my wife.
counselor was taken a back with his aggression ' mera matlab hain don't u love ur wife
Maan looked away feeling cornered
counselor ' I mean mana ki she wanted t divorce but u too didn't say no to it. Agar u loved ur wife
Maan immediately said ' aisen koi baat bat nahi hain.
Counselor ' so if I ask u how happy u were with ur married life wat would u say.
Maan blankly said happy
counselor - I mean on scale of 1 to 10 how would u rate it like 1 being not satisfied & 10 being very happy
Maan didn't even think just said ' 10
Geet felt a pang in her heart.
Counselor contended & now looked at Geet ' why did u apply for this divorce.
Geet became restless. She didn't know how to put her feelings in words especially this one. She restlessly knotted her pallu. Maan was anxiously looking at her waiting for her answer.
Seeing her silent counselor probed further ' I see u r not asking for a any alimony.
Geet nodded
counselor ' did u guys have any fight like difference in opinion.
Maan answered ' she doesn't fight
counselor ' kya matlab
Maan very proudly ' we don't had a difference in opinions.
Geet preferred to be quite abt it.
