Part 12
The case was simple. The judge had to just give them that 6 months separation period it should have been done.. moreover.. 4 months had already passed.. but on
meera's request.. judge suggested them to meet a family counselor.
Non said anything. At the moment both were lost in their own inner misery. Geet thought she was prepared to face the life alone, but each passing day she missed him, ached to be in his arms even if it was not reciprocated in similar pattern, atleast he was there. All these years she was any way alone but now that hope of waking up with hope..may be today could be different was gone.
With all the anguish confined in her, she had managed to settle herself in this new world. She tried to look at the brighter side, atleast she doesn't have to listen to the taunts.. not at the cost of losing Maan something churned within painfully. Lekin kis ummed ke saat wo yeh rishta nibathi!!! she shied sadly.
It was definitely not a cake walk. But she was mentally prepared for it. Financially too she had to be. The little savings she had was getting used up now. She was managing with her salary her day day to expenses & tried her level best to save considering the fees she has to pay Meera. How ever prepared u be.. the reality does take u by surprise so was hers. But she did manage well & emerged out stronger.
Either looked so lost, the judge gave a questioning look to Meera. She reassured with her gestures. Judge sighed signing their papers & moved on to the next case.
Geet looked at Meera not understanding wat was this counseling thing all abt. Meera tried to brush it off saying, it is just a silly attempt by the judge to give the couple another chance.
Maan got a similar explanation from his lawyer meanwhile. He got really excited, not very evident in his gestures though. But after so many days he felt some hope. His eyes excitedly searched his soul scanning the court room. Geet was picking her papers & walking towards the exit. She was not sure if that counseling stuff was good idea. She had done her research abt all this possibility & wat she understood abt it was not something Maan would like she thought. She so much wanted to keep it all less trouble some to him. Its becoming all the more complicated.
She didn't even dare to look at him. Partly she couldn't look at him & break down, partly she was fearing to see the mistrust in them, that would only make it more miserable for her. Not once did he cared to ask her. Not once ' tears just began to burn the back of her lids.
Maan couldn't help but to follow her. His lawyer walked beside him making him sign some papers & .. before he could say anything.. Maan was out of sight.
Maan was very disturbed seeing her alone. He saw her calling for an auto. He definitely didn't know wat he was doing, when he just extended his hand & stopped her from boarding the auto. She first got startled with sudden unexpected presence., then got really excited..followed her threatening tears. She immediately wiped them.. & smiled pleasantly.. ji.
Maan himself was shocked with wat he was doing here, stopping her like this. He went numb with the emotions that ran down him hearing her sweet ji, like always between them. It really raised his hopes to a new extent. He looked at her questioning lashes clearing his throat. Tum aklen aayen ho?
she dipped her head. Her pain of loneliness surfaced instantly. After her parents abandoning her like her husband, only she knew how she managed these 4 months. Initial few days in a hotel & a month in working women hostel & now finally managed to get a safe paying guest accommodation.
Mera matlab hain mama ' papa
she just dipped her head & shook her head.
He instantly got angry. R they out of their mind he yelled. She eyed the auto person to leave. She looked here & there knowing Maan was no where going to stop especially when he losses it.
But today she was taken a back with his anger. Why is he bothered now!!! when he didn't care all this 4 months.
He held her hand & dragged her to the car. Challo main drop kardetha hoon
mujhe mama- papa se bhi baat karni hain
how can they leave u alone to come here like this.
Geet looked at him surprise. Did he really care..
court kachri koi ladki aklen thodi jaathi hain
she was totally taken a back. why is showing so much of concern. did he really care or.. she didn't know wat to think abt all this. It did sooth her loneliness but increased her fear of being alone yet again.
He drew the car towards the Handa's guest house where her parents usually stayed when they visited Delhi. Like usual he just assumed it. Geet didn't know how to tell him.. she just said yanha se right.
Maan said proudly I know where t guest house is
main guest house main nahi rahti
kya matlab..he said looking at her & then looking in front
yanha se second right.
wo.. white wali gate.
Geet thanked him softly stepping out of the car & began to walk not waiting for him. He looked at the place. It was some colony type place. Why would they stay here he wondered. He managed to park his big car, locked the car.. & looked for Geet, she was already knocking some door. Maan quickly reached her..with his questions
only to see a old lady opening the door & instantly shouting.. without letting anyone speak.
tumhe paying guest rakhne se phelen clearly kaha tha.. no ladka allowed
Geet gulped her saliva. No one would have spoken to Maan in that tone
the old grumpy lady continued her shouting 3 mahene se I have been watching u. U were good. Not once did u come late or talk to any one. Kisi se raat ko bhi phone nahi karti. Then who this boy? I was so impressed with ur manners.
Maan glared at Geet
Geet nervously looked at her landlady ' aunty yeh meren husband hain
the old lady adjusted her glasses scanning Maan top to bottom lekin u said ur getting a divorce
the lady was definitely not happy with Maan. Tumhara tho aaj court main kuch tha na
before Geet could answer her, Maan grabbed her arm & turned towards himself yeh sab kya hain Geet
tum paying guest main kyun rahe rahi ho
mama ' papa kanha hain?
Unhe yeh sab pata hain.. he looked at the place with clear disapproval
the old lady snapped maans hold on Geet & spat on his face..
they left her like u did
Geet couldn't hold her tears anymore.. she just ran to her room. Maan was too stunned to react. The old lady slammed the door on his face.
He didn't understand anything. How can mama-papa leave Geet, he felt choked. He drove lifelessly to the mansion. He was supposed to get back to office.. he just dove back to home... he was way too disturbed. It didn't make any sense. it felt so wrong. wat was his wife doing in paying guest accommodation.. the more he thought the more he was in kashmakash.
He walked in to KM.. lost & confused. Daadi knew today was the court date. She made a coffee & went to his room. Daadi caressed his hair.
He sighed & took the coffee from her
Daadi ' aap Geet se millen wo teehk tho hain na?
Maan shook his head actually.
Daadi sighed ' hum tho bahut worried they beta. Us din rano aur darji ne bhi usse se saren rishten naten thod diya tha. Mujhe tho 4 mahen se yeh chinta khayi ja hain thi won kanha rahi hogi. Wo tho kisi ko nahi janthi na delhi main.
just then pami walked in ' sasu ma aap bhi kaisen baaten kar rahen ho
she would have been happily living with that other guy. Now they will take all the alimony amount & enjoy. Maine tho.. Maan didn't let her complete.. & just left to gym irritated.
how can her parents leave her like this, main ne yeh kya kar diya. I didn't care abt her, because I thought they r there. 4 Months she was alone. No one to take care of her.. How did she manage? Thats why she looked so exhausted.
Then his ma's words played in his head making him wonder. Wat happened to the guy in her life. Nahi nahi.. but her land lady did mention she never had any such things.
Probably that guy fooled her.
