He stood there thinking about his fate deeply and of happenings in his life before the wedding, flashes of incidents, people he met and how all lead to his marriage with Sasha he thought and smiled at his ill fate.
"Its destiny he replied, we are no one to change them" he later replied
"We ca if given a chance"
This time her voice irked in him some strange sense of familiarity, he didn't want her to turn back yet he wanted to know who she is, he asked her more questions to get acquainted with her voice.
"How come?"
He felt she was to turn back and face him when turned the other side not letting her see him, she didn't bother to know who he was as he answered her question.
"Life gives us a second chance to repent, to re do our actions but by then we will be under illusion of commitment that we turn down the opportunity and curse fate and destiny"
He pondered over her words, it seemed not to have come from her, he looked deeply immersed in thoughts as he replied "you were given a second chance?"
"Yes and no"
"Now that's interesting, what you mean by that?" he asked
She took in a deep breath, looked up the sky, closed her eyes and thought of her life till now, the point where she is standing and replied.
"I never took in my first chance, and a second chance would seem like a boon which I would curse up and turn down like everyone else, because I too fear the society, they are meant for the fearless and not me"
"you are confusing" he said as he himself started delving into her conversation forgetting his task of knowing who the person is and he turned to face her.
For a fraction of second numbness conquered them both and time stood still for them, both hardly knowing what to do. He saw her one who kept on missing in his recollecting of past and she faced Maan Singh Khurrana for whom she had dedicated her entire life.
"Geet" he said remembering her first arrival in office to her unsaid farewell on the eve of his wedding day.
"Why you left without letting me know?" he asked furiously on meeting his long lost secretary and his bossy tone filled with attitude which too left with Geet's departure came back to him.
"Sir" she looked startled by the old avatar of Maan and was gulping in for words to speak, the solemn melancholy atmosphere turned to their much love Tom and Jerry fight kind of one.
"Miss Geet Handa" he said and looked deep into her eyes making her have an urge feels to surrender completely under him.
"I loved you" she said unknowingly and as those words flowed from her he felt numbness irking him once again.
She closed her mouth out of the shock on what was said and what was passed by, he was about to turn back and run away by she wasn't able to move a step forward, she thought of her own words and wondered of is it fate's second chance!
He stood there recollecting every precious moment spent with her and his first love blooming and his decision of confession and making her confess but then the deceitful marriage broke all his sweet memories.
Geet stood there remembering herself heartbroken on finding about Maan's and Sasha's marriage and took a decision to leave Delhi forever but she couldn't help herself from staying from the place where heaps of memories lied.
Silence spoke for them and a promise of being together laid between them.
