If your writer is such an original, why don't you go to http://www.wattpad.com/story/995344-a-penny%27s-worth-of-affection
The original writer has posted concerns and discovered that the writer you're trying to defend has copied her work, just changed the names and set it in India.
If you really want to support this writer of yours, then encourage her to use her original talent. It's not hard to write a story.
Rosesarered, original author, worked hard on A Penny's Worth of Affection. It is an injustice for someone to take her hard work for their own.
I wouldn't be surprised if her work has been taken down. I'm sure the true author and/or her fans have also contacted administration.
Next time, when you defend someone, put some real meat into it. Original ID, darling, I haven't been a member of this site, until today. After we have learned from the original author that someone is using her story as her own. If your sweet writer is not guilty of plagiarism, why would she take it down? I mean if I wrote something and someone tried to steal it from me and made it look like that I was the plagiarist, I would keep my story up and when questioned, be prepared to show the evidence of originality.
Point is...and reality is that if someone does something wrong, be prepared to take the consequences.
Anyone else who has probably bashed your "honest" author must be other fans of the original.
Don't be a hypocrite. Nor should you be a blind follower.
I do not ask for your trust. I don't know who you are, nor do you know me. Bottom line is, in the world of creative writing, plagiarism is unacceptable.
Try writing a story? Sweetheart, been there. Done that and still doing so. That is why circumstances like these is unacceptable.
Yes, I am not a saint. Neither are you or your "writer". I'm an advocate though for original writers who have been victimised by plagiarists.
Yes, accusations like this, a writer must pay a big price. If you are in the industry and know the concept of Intellectual Property Rights, you'll understand.
Jobless idiots...Funny. I'll remember that when someone from your country is in my caseload to assist them in looking for a job so they get off unemployment welfare. *wink*
And finally, don't be so dramatic! It's not down the drain for your beloved "writer." If she or he is creative enough to change settings and character names, then she will have the talent to write a story. She could have fantastic writing skills. She could even have several originals in her computer or journal somewhere and just taking a long time to complete or develop. Taking another's work as her own is not the way to go. And you, as a supporter, should know that.
No, this is not harassment. This is fighting for someone who truly worked hard. Put yourself in "Rosesared's" shoes. Read her work and then tell us if there is no resemblance in the narrative.
This is not an attack on you. If this writer is innocent, she can defend herself and provide evidence that she is the original author.
