PART 17

Geet brought dadi to her home. She made her comfortable in her room and went to bring some medicine. Dadi was laying there alone cooking up something in her mind. " larki toh achhi hai.. baate bhi bahut pyari karti hai.. per bolti bahut hai ..meri tarah he he he... pata nahi maan ko kaha mil gayi " she was thinking when geet came back and gave her medicine and sat besides her massaging her head as dadi told it was paining.. dadi felt very nice after so long years.. it was something she always missed in her fast and Elegant life.. she always wanted have a grand daughter but after maan parents death in his childhood, it was not possible.. but now its becoming possible she thought and smiled... geet saw her smiling ..

"aree dadi why are you smiling.. feeling good na..i knew it..waise bhi papa always says that there is magic in my hand.. sabki taqlif (pain) dur kar deti hu " geet said happily

"haa..wo toh dikh raha hai .. sach me there is magic in your hand beta.. achha beta apne baare me kuch batao hume .. kon kon rahta hai yaha "

"bas papa aur mai " geet replied..

"and your mother ??

"wo..wo... " she became sad

dadi understood .. " dont worry beta .. aap sad mat hoiye.. hum hai na."

geet looked her surprised ..how a strange elder woman gave her , this happiness of life which she always missed.. geet hugged dadi being so emotional.. dadi too hugged back feeling some strange bonding with her ..

geet- achha dadi now you take rest ..i come back from kitchen" saying she left. Dadi was happy.. she liked geet so much as her innocence and helping nature won dadi heart.. she thanked babaji for giving this girl in maan s life. now anyhow she had to do this marriage as soon as.

She stood and went to see where was geet. Geet was busy so dadi came back in room and closed door. Then she called maan. Maan picked

before maan could greet her she started " Maan ..ye kaesi larki aapne pasand ki hai.. "

maan- konsi larki dadi" asked confused

dadi- aree that geet.. aur kitni larkiyaan (girls) aapne pasand kar rakhi hai " she controlled her laugh

maan felt embarrassed with deadi comment " dadi aap kya bol rahi hai.. aur maine geet ko kab pasand kiya

dadi- really !! tabhi aap dono ke shaddi ki news har channels me aa rahi thi hai na "

Maan- wo..dadi wo toh bas misunderstanding thi .. aap meri puri baat to suniye "

dadi- hume kuch nahi sunna.. waise bhi I dont like this girl..so better if you dont think about her ..samjhe aap" saying she cut.

Maan shocked dadi's this attitude " dadi geet ko pasand nahi karti ??? but when she met her ?? and why she dint like geet.. she is so cute , so beautiful, so good and innocent as dadi wish for her daughter in law.. then why dadi dint like geet " he dint like dadi rude thought toward geet..

here dadi was doing bhangra literally thinking plan one successful.. " ab aayenge maan raaste pe.. and she started counting 1,2,3...5 and her phone rang. She shoke her head laughing and picked

maan- dadi what you were saying..

dadi- kis baare me maan ??

maan ' wo..wo..you said no that you dont like that girl .." he was hesitating talking about geet directly

Dadi- which girl maan .. and since when you started thinking about girl haan...

Maan- wo..kuch nahi dadi..mai phone rakhta hu " saying he cut and thought what happened to dadi as she was first who talked about geet and now being total known about her.. he thought jarur daal me kuch kala hai ..(as he was MSK after all) he thought to call geet and ask whether she met dadi or not.. he called geet

Maan- geet mai maan .. geet wo.. I wanted to ask you something

geet- Ji kahiye " she dint know that dadi was behind listening their talk

Maan- geet ..did you meet dadi

Geet- aree maan..aapko kaese pata

Maan shocked (st)- it means she really met dadi.. " here dadi patted her head. " ye geet bhi na..sara plan khraab kar degi

Maan- geet kya kaha dadi ne ..

Geet- kuch nahi.. wo toh jab se aayi so rahi hai ..kyu

Maan- dadi so rahi hai?? per kyu ??

Geet ' wo unko na thora headache tha .. but how did you know about dadi ?? aapki dadi bhi aanewaali thi kya ??

Maan- kya?? geettt ..tum kis dadi ke baare me baat kar rahi ho?? mai meri dadi ka puch raha hu

Geet- maan ab mujhe kya pata aapki dadi kon hai ?? mai to ek dadi ko hi mili hu..ab wo kiski dadi hai mujhe kya pata "

Maan- kyaa?? geet tumhaare ghar me dadi hai.. aur wo kiski dadi hai tumhe nahi pata.. ye kaise ho sakta hai

Geet- ohh maan .. ab dadi to dadi hoti hai na..kisi ki bhi ho..hai na dadi "she turned asked to dadi who was standing behind geet touching her ear to phone.. Geet- maan mai phone rakhti hu..wo dadi ko fir chakker (faint) aa rahi hai.. " saying she cut and held dadi who was praying her babaji " sahi time pe bachha liya aapne babaji..warna ye geet to aaj sab barbaad kar dena thi" geet took dadi in room and again started her head massage

At Evening

Maan thought to go and meet geet and talk about all dadi issue. So he started his jeep when his ear caught some words which was coming from some labors type men.. about Geet. They were looking at some newspaper where maaneet marriage news had published. Maan went there and heard they were saying that

" ye toh geet hai na "

"haa yaar..ye toh wahi hai.. per ye yaha kaese.. she was in hoshiyaarpur na then here ?? "

Maan went there and asked " do you know her "

men- yes we know her.. she is geet handa..from hoshiyaarpur.. daarji ki poti (Grand daughter) hai.. but how her photo in newspapaer .. that too with you .. dekhne me to aap bhut ameer (rich) lagte ho..fir aapki photo geet ke sath kase??

Maan got confused and angry also as how these men were talking about geet.. but he wanted to know about what they were talking and knew about her so he controlled.." isse tumhe koi matlab nahi .. mujhe bas ye batao ki what you know about geet??

Men scared with maan anger and told ' we dont know much about her.. only as she is from HP and her name is geet handa.. humne unke waha kaam kiya tha kuch din so we know this little..

Maan glared them and returned to jeep thinking what he heard.. per geet HP me kase ho sakti hai .. but why not.. may be she used to live there and then came here .. as mohindar uncle also said that they came here suddenly, in strange circumstance .. hmm .. yahi baat hogi .. leave it maan !! now have to bear geet .. chal be ready " he smiled and left not knowing that those men dint tell him whole story...
