CHAPTER 18
As they began touring the house Maan showed Geet the gardens, the outhouse, the living room, the kitchen connected to the dining hall, the different bedroom and guestroom, his private gym, his office, study and bedroom.
Seeing the gym with all it's upgraded technologies Geet remarked," So this is where the famous MK gets that perfect body on which the entire women population drools upon."
Maan smirked at her comment and replied," You can say that. And by the way, when you mention the entire women population does that include you as well?"
Geet knew exactly where he was playing at. Okay, if he wanted to fight dirty then so be it. Two can play the game at a time."
" Oh I don't know," Geet replied nonchalantly. " Never really saw much to drool upon!!!" she said intentionally, winking provocatively at him.
It was worth the effort to see his mouth opened wide in shock at her very provocative answer.
She continued bravely," What happened Mr. Khurana? Cat got your tongue?"
Maan shook his head in amusement. " You are one single piece in a million, do you know that? There is no one else who is quite like you!!!"
" Yep!! i know that." Geet giggled, and then lifting up her invisible collar with pride, she said," Mere babaji ne bare hi dhyaan se aur chun chun ke mujhe banaya hain... meri tarah aapko doosri thodi na milne wali hain..."
Maan asked her," Geet do you know that you are the first woman or rather the first person who I have ever brought here?"
Geet was surprised at the revelation. Did his parents never come here then or was it after his parents died that he built this place??? She did not have much time to think.
Just to lighten her mood she said," Then I must be honored that you thought me special enough to bring me to your private gym. I know Pari would give an arm and a leg to be in my place."
Maan was confused. " Pari?" he asked.
" Yeah. Pari. Meri dost hain and she is a huge fan of your. Kabhi baad main uske baare main bataungi. Abhi ke liye mujhe tour karvaiye!!!"
They continued their tour around the house after this little exchange.
His office too was tastefully decorated in pastel colors. " This is where I sign all my major film contracts. I wouldn't be mistaken if i say that you are the first person except for the people who work for me to come here and see this. i must say Geet you are making me do quite a few unusual things..."
Sensing his teasing mood, Geet replied in the same vein," I am very please Mr. Khurana," She said, batting her eyelids.
" Are you flirting with me, Miss Geet Handa?" Man asked dangerously.
" Not really Mr. Khurana," Geet said, laughing. " Do you want me to flirt with you?"
"What I want to do won't be quite appropriate here. It needs to be done in a bit more private setting. Are you game, Miss Handa?"
Geet gulped at his words watching him as he came forward with a lazy smirk on his face. He leaned forward near her ear and spoke slowly, measuring the impact of each of his words on her face.
Geet had closed her eyes at his closeness and was breathing quite heavily while Maan fanned her face with his breathe.
" Miss Handa, shall we go?"
" Where?" geet asked breathlessly.
" To the bedroom."
Geet opened her eyes wide in shock and asked," Bed...bedroom??"
" Yeah!"
" Why?"
" Well, that's the only lace we have left to tour, Miss Handa!!!"
" Oh," Geet exhaled, the breath which she did not even know that she was holding coming out in a gust.
Maan smirked and cocked his head," Did you think of any other reason to go to the bedroom Miss Geet?" he asked teasingly.
Geet colored at the implications of his words. " No," she shook her head. " Let's go."
His bedroom, like the rest of the house bore the testimony of how good his sense of style was. Geet was impressed with the decor.
The HUGE king size bed in the middle was what took her breathe away the most.
The walls were painted with white and the chocolate brown bed with the same colored satin bed sheets and pillows provided a striking contrast.
" Wow!!" was the only word Geet could say in the face of such beauty.
" You like it?" was Maan's query.
" Yeah," Geet breathed, turning around in her place to take in the entire beauty.
" It's so beautiful!!!"
Almost like a honeymoon suite, her mind commented.
Almost immediately, she was hit by a flash of erotic images of some sweaty limbs withering with pleasure on the bed. It was a bed to make love on!!!!
She almost slipped as she realized the direction her train of thought had taken and would have fallen down, had Maan not caught hold of her hand on time.
" Are you okay?" Man asked in concern.
" Yeah, pretty much!" Geet said, blushing at the waywardness of her thoughts.
" Wait here," Maan said, as he went inside the adjoining room, that was actually his study.
When he came out, he had certain papers in his hand.
He forwarded the papers to feet, asking her to read it's contents.
" Dekhlo. Agar koi changes chahiye toh mujhe batane. Main kardunga. Phir tum sign kar dena."
Geet took the papers from his hands curiously and started peering into it.
But the more she read, the more her eyes became wide. She just could not believe that he did this just for her!!
She looked up at him in wonder and he smiled at her and encouraged her to read the entire thing.
It contained a contract. And not just any other contract. It was three-film deal with one of the best production houses in India- Maa's production house- Dreams Forever.
And her first film will be with Maan himself!!!
It was the best debut any actress could ever ask for. And the icing on the cake was that she was to be paid a whopping crore for her first film.
She had never seen that many zeros behind any number before and to think that that was what she will get after doing her first film.
But she was a bit hesitant. " Maan.. yeh sab...?"
" Geet tumhe kuch aur add ya subtratc karna hain kya?"
" Nahi. This is all too much... Magar mera audition?"
" Kaunsa audition Geet? Tumne audition diya tha aur wo mujhe pasand bhi aya tha. Issiliye tum choose hui ho. Maan Singh khurana kisiko bhi favour nahi karta hain Geet. He chooses only the best and you are the best. Don't ever doubt that!!!"
She was touched. Emotionally she said," I will never let you down Maan. I will do my best and impress everyone."
" Hey, abhi please rona shuru mat karna. I do not like tears. Bilkul filmy heroines ki tarah lagi howoh bhi 70's ke zamaane ki jaha sab ladkiya hamesha roti rehti thi."
Geet laughed at his words.
" Now that's more like the Geet I actually know."
Geet signed the papers and Maan said," Shooting ek mahine baad shuru hogi . Tumhara singing anount hain 50 lakhs aur baki ka amount flm complete hone ke baad milega."
Geet looked at him gratefully.
" Thank you so much Maan," was all that she could say.
