But above all the emotion that ruled her heart was ā¦. HAPPINESS!!! Her eyes got teary. She had last seen his picture when he was barely a few months old. But still she could make out it was him because of the stark resemblance he shared with his father. She wanted to hug him and shower him with all the love in this world but she knew she had lost the right to do so! She wondered how should she introduce him to others. In fact she was apprehensive of Maan's reaction if Vicky told his true identity.
"ā¦. yup guys, and I am here as my Meet's brother."
Dadima was relieved as well as confused at the same time. Though she had not been in touch with them for a long time, but she clearly knew that Raj had no daughter. Geet could easily guess what was going on Dadima's mind, but she could do nothing to clear her doubts.
Rano ma didn't know why, but she felt a little jealous that Meet had a family, someone whom she called 'ma' other than her. But WHY was she feeling so????
Rimi's hopes came crashing down. "God, why did you have to write all Handsome Rich boys in this Geet's destiny only????"
Even Maan was confused. His Geet had a brother and he didn't know???
Geet knew that she owed Maan an explanation. She decided to tell him everything the first thing after she got a chance to be alone with him. Vicky was a mute spectator till now watching the variety of emotions and reactions he received. Especially that creature's disgusting and creepy looks were irritating him. The silence was becoming unbearable for him, so he cleared his throat breaking everyone's chain of thoughts.
"Doll, I am hell tired. Please can I give my further introductions after I freshen up? Till then I hope everyone will recover from their zombie mode to a little more errā¦..human mode."
Everyone got embarrassed while Geet giggled. She nodded and directed him the way to the guest room. She made sure he was comfortable. When she was leaving, Vicky peeped around to ensure no one was listening then whispered-
"Doll, I want to meet Maan alone, make sure you tell him everything about our relationship by tonight, rest I will handle on my own tomorrowā¦. theek hai???"
"Jee bhaiyaā¦."
"Good... BTW, bade papa ne tumhare favourite chocolates bheje hai tumhare liye. In fact unhone to tumhare liye itna samaan bheja hai ki mere paas khud ke kapde lane ki jagah bhi nahi bachi... ab if I smell tho don't blame me..."
Geet giggled and punched him lightly on his arm. She snatched the chocolates from him and ran away laughing, while shouting
"Baaki ka samaan kal... "
Vicky shook his head at her antics and went to the washroom to freshen up and relax his tired muscles with a hot shower.
MAANEET's ROOM
Geet was still giggling when she collided with a rock hard chest. She was about to fall when two strong hands held her in place. She closed her eyes in fear while her hand instinctively went towards her tummy.
"Geet, tum theek ho??"
Hearing the familiar concerned voice of Maan, she realized that once again her Knight had saved her. She was still under shock so she just nodded. Maan sighed in relief. He scooped her in his arms and made her sit on the bed. He made her drink some water and then blasted at her-
"YEH TUM KYA KAR RAHI HO? KYA ZAROORAT THI AISE BHAAGNE KI? AGAR TUM GIR JAATI TOā¦."
Maan shuddered at the thought and immediately closed his eyes to calm himself when he realized that she was still shaking in fear and his shouting was not helping the case at all. He gently held her hands and asked calmly-
"Geet please ab tumhe apna extra khyal rakha hai jaan. Agar main time par nahi aata to. Please promise me ki tum phir kabhi aisa nahi karogiā¦."
She nodded at once while tears were brimming in her eyes seeing his concern. She wanted to tell him that till he was there, nothing can happen to her, but no words came out from her mouth. She hugged him immediately and started sobbing. Maan gently patted her back and after she calmed a bit, he tried to change the topic, he teased her-
"Waise Geet mujhe nahi pata tha ki mera ek saala bhi haiā¦."
"Jee???"
Then she realized that she had to tell Maan everything. She took a deep breath and started-
"Wo darasal, yeh baat London ki hai. Kuchh mahine pehle, mere aur Arohi ke apartment ke paas kuchh batdameez ladle shift ho gaye jo hume bahut pareshan kar rahe theā¦."
Maan clenched his fist. How dare anyone trouble his Geet, and he was not there to protect her.
"TUMNE MUJHE PEHLE KYUN NAHI BATAYA. UNKI TO MAINā¦."
"Arrey aap shant ho jaiye. Vo kuchh bhi nahi kar paaye. Actually ek baar Arjun hume drop karne aaya tha tab unhone kuchh comments pass ki aur phir Arjun ne unki itni buri halat ki, ki vo bechare agli baar na to kisi ko kuchh bolne ke aur na hi kisi ko dekhne ke kabil rahe..."
Geet giggled while Maan developed an instant liking for this Arjun fellow. But he was still a little apprehensive-
"Geet, ye Arjun kaun hai?"
"Arjun, Arohi ka boyfriend hai aur mera bhaiā¦."
Maan was immensely relieved and teased her.
"Offo Geet tumhare aur kitne bhai hain?"
Geet cutely pouted and made a baby face, while Maan just wanted to devour her right there.
"Aapko aage sun na hai ya nahi???"
Maan immediately put his finger on his lips, earning a sweet giggle from his little wify.
"Arjun ko hamari safety ki chinta ho rahi thi, kyunki wo bhi kuchh dino mein internship ke liye bahar jaane wala tha. To usne hamare rehne ka arrangement Raj uncle ke yaha kar diya. Vo uske family friend the. Raj uncle aur unki puri family bahut hi sweet hai. Pichhle itne dino se hum vahi reh rahe the. Vicky bhaiya unhi ke bete hai. unhone kayi baar meri bahut madad ki hai, aur unki koi behen nahi thi, to main ne unhe rakhi baandh di, tab se main unki official behen ban gayiiā¦."
Maan felt an immense sense of gratitude towards Arjun as well as his Raj uncle and family. He was thankful to them for taking care of his jaan. He smiled at his sweet jaan who was capable of making life long relationship with even strangers. She had this unusual charm. After all even he was one of the shikars of her charms, though he was thankful for it!!!!
