she chuckled cutely. Whole world suddenly turned sweetly for her. She couldn't wait to meet him. She was so so happy. She never thought she will be ever so excited abt her marriage that too arrange marriage. She looked at babaji & thanked him again probably fell in love with her parents more than ever to have selected Maan for her.
The engagement was planned on sunday & the meeting was scheduled on friday. Geet was really excited ..actually bit shy too.. to see him as her would be. The feeling was overwhelming. Not that her feeling for Tanmay had totally vanished ...NO... but the fact Maan who knows her & her feelings was more impt right now. The whole meeting was typically arranged.
Maan came with his parents to Handa Mansion. Past couple of days had been very difficult on him. He was not sure if Geet was ok with all this or was she forced into this relation like every other discussion in her family. He just hoped she was happy..because he himself was on 7th heaven .. it was like dream come true for him. only he & his heart knew wat geet meant to him.
When he told his frd abt this whole wedding thing '.all they could say was.. dammit u r one lucky bas***d. (pardon their language.. well now u know why they were not allowed in KM)
Geet came dressed in a purple salwar looking down. Brij suggested if they wanted they could go to the lawn & talk their. It was pretty odd to walk out like that. But then when jhanvi pushed maans arm. He cleared his throat & got up. He waited for Geet to lead the way, but she stood frozen at her spot. Rano smiled weakly & walked Geet to the lawn. Maan just followed them. Both of them stood their silently for some time. Her silence was killing him. Wat he hated the most.. he could never see her reserved ..drawn in.. he could just not understand wat is going in her mind then.
He finally broke the silence ' do u want to ask anything to me
her eyes popped up... but she still looked down... making a big O... 3 sal main kuch nahi bola.. abhi dehko.. but she couldn't say anything.. especially knowing parents will be watching them.
She just shook her head
Maan couldn't see her expression ..her silence only bothered him more.

she still kept quiet. It was the bandishein she couldn't talk to him ..though they were in lawn.. waisen bhi she didn't have any questions for him.. all she cared ..he had a golden heart & she is really blessed to be married to him.
For Maan her silence was ignorance.. like she treated him like all the other alliance. She was as unhappy ..as she was then. It only broke his heart. He felt choked ..he was so happy ..but couldn't see the happiness in her only broke him... he didn't say a word more.
Rest of the family discussion went on well.
Maan couldn't sleep the whole night. She was not happy !!! he felt suffocated. All he hoped was to see her happy not to forget her past instantly but atleast be positive abt the whole thing. But she was not!! why can't she just speak up. Waisen tho bolthi rahthi hain.. jab bolna hain tab kuch nahi bolthi.
Why can't she tell them .. she doesn't like me.
Until engagement maan could not sleep a wink. Her silence haunted him.
Geet had her sweet little talks with babaji abt his talking. Can u believe babaji he spoke 2 whole sentences. 3 saal main 3 word nahi teehk se bola aur dehko 2 whole sentence. Umm she twisted her lips. She repeated his sentence in his tone .. tum meren baren main kuch nahi jaanthi

She herself can't believe she said that.
She was more than happy abt the whole engagement & the wedding.. But then she couldn't express herself to anyone. She hadn't told her Frds yet. At home rano was very strict abt her giggling laughing or even getting too anxious. Rano believed all that would look cheap.. People may feel ur being desperate.
On the day of the engagement maan was dressed in shervani looking stunning & geet in a beautiful deep pink lehenga. Geet had never seen him in the light of her better half now when she did she couldn't take her eyes for him & very obviously innocently drooling over her new found liking. She was caught off guard by rano looking at maan like that. She shied & look down instantly.
Rano got really angry & took her aside & warned her. Gave her a whole irritating gyan on behaving rightly. This is not the way a good families girl behaves & all that .. Rano's choice of words were harsh & sharp to an extent brought tears in geet s eyes.
Rano ' aab aisen roti mat raho
wipe ur tears & keep ur eyes down.

The girl & the boy were called to exchange rings. Maan's eyes were searching for her since he had come down. She looked simply angelic, he held his heart which seem to jump out his ribs the moment he saw her next to rano looking down. She hid her tears as she walked towards him only making his heart cry out for her. His fear she was forced into this relation became certain for him.
He didn't want to but couldn't have created a scene he silently slipped in her hand only cursing himself his biggest happiest moment was her saddest moment in life. His dream was snatching her dream away.
It was so easy for her to hide her pain in that brilliant smile as she slid the ring. He couldn't even express it with tears then.. why does it hurt so much to see those sad eyes.
Geet all the while had her eyes down. Fighting with her babaji..that she can't even look at him. How much she wanted to know his reaction. Just once see his face ..& she would know wat he feels abt it. But she can't ..uff yeh bandishein.
