"Maan mene tho socha tha ki aap badal gaye hai. Par me galath thi." And she turned and walked away. Maan was at his wits end!!! He started running after her.. "Geet …meri baat tho suno…me jaanta bhi nahi……."

Part 24:

Maan reached the balcony outside and was left speechless! Geet was standing there staring at the full moon…a faint pinkish glow on her face. She looked absolutely ethereal. Maan was lost in her luminous beauty. He slowly walked towards her. Geet was lost in her own thoughts and staring ahead and Maan at her. Maan was broken out of his revere by a thin furrow in her forehead…

Maan said sofly "Geet…."

Geet just gave him a blank look and continued staring at the moon.

She said in an almost inaudible voice "Tho mujhe nicha dikhane ke liya….".

Maan cut in "Neecha? Tumhe? Arre me tumhare bare main kyo sochoonga?"

Geet was surprised. She expected him to be at least a little apologetic and justify himself. What was happening?

Again she started "Ek minute! Ye aap kya bol rahe hain?"

Maan "Kyo tumhe sunaaya nahin diya? Abh disco me aaye hai tho nachna tho padega naa?"

Geet "Lekin..."

Maan did not let her speak "Abh dekho woh bechaari ladki. mujpe itni fida thi. Nachne lag gayi mere sath. Abh me usse disappoint nahi karsaka. Ek do steps laga liya tho kya farq padtha hai? Abh itna bhi badi problem kya hai?"

Geet" Tho aap kisi ke saath bhi?..."

Maan "In sab chison mein mera kuch reputation bhi hai na. Ki me flirt hoo. Womanizer hoo. Abh achanak se badal gaya tho log kya kahenge? Tum kudh yakin nahi karpa rahi ho ki me badal gaya hoo. Tho dusre ladkiya kaise maanenge? Ek try tho marenge naa? Acha tum mere ek sawaal ka jawab do, kya tum mujhe jail me dekhna chahte ho?"

Geet…confused…"nahi magar"

Maan "Mujhe ek dam different dekh kar kisi ka heart fail ho gaya tho?"

Geet "huh?"

Maan "Tho hum in sab chison ko araamse lenge…bilkul chillax.."

Geet started muttering "abh ye chillax kya hai. inhe ho kya gaya hai? Lagta hai mujhe zinda dekhe shock ke waje se yeh pagal ho gaye hai..kaisi behiki behiki baate kar rahe hai!!" Aloud "Aap araamse mana bhi tho karsakte the naa?"

Maan "Wwoh music thoda loud tha naa…usse sunaayi nahi deta.."

Geet "tho…"

Maan "Abh agar mein apne MK ke roop me usse chillake baat kar tho usse bahut boora lagta naa?"

Geet now could not take this anymore, she started manufacturing a few tears involuntarily…

Maan immediately "Geet, tum ro rahin ho? Me tho mazak kar raha tha. Abh dekho maine babaji se vaada kiya tha ke tumhara saara dukh mera aur mera saara sukh tumhara. Mein tumhare chehere pe udaasi nahi dekhnaa chahta tha. Issliye tumhe confuse kar ke who sab bulaane ke liya…."

Geet was astounded. He was trying to make her feel better and not thinking about his guilt and need to apologize. He did not care what became of himself. He just wanted to see her smile. She was so overcome with this selfless love, that she just hugged him.

She just hugged him tight, when they were startled by her cell phone ringing and it had fallen to the floor. In the hurry to pick it up she pressed the speaker on button. A heavy drunk voice on the phone "Arre Geet, do you mind picking up the tab huh? I just forgot my purse at home intentionally hehe. Abh tumhare Maan ke saath dance karne ke liya paisa vasool tho bantha hai naa…waise Maan MSK hai ! uske liya yeh sab free me bhi kar sakthi thi par abh purse bhool hi gayi hoo tho kya kare…."

She was continuing and Geet was frantically trying to get the phone to respond….

Maan was watching her with a mysterious look and Geet dropped the phone again and it just fell apart on the floor. Geet just stood rooted at the same spot unable to move awaiting his reaction. Maan bent down to pick up the pieces of the phone and slowly started to get back up. He moved in closer and said "Acha tho Maan Singh Khurana ke saath khel rahi ho?"

He grabbed her waist and yanked her closer and whispered in her ear "Accha tho wo ladki tumhari saheli thi…huh…mujhe pasaani ki koshish..iski sazaa tho tumhe zaroor milni chahiye"…
