Hello my Fantasy Readers.
Before you all throw well deserved jhootis and chappals and tomatoes at me, let me explain.
It's YOUR fault. You didn't fill up the quota, so, well, the update was...OKAY FYN!!! Don't glare at a poor baccha like me.😳
I will update tomorrow, after I battle with an Accounting quiz. God, WHY?WHY? do we have to study? It usually doesn't come to any use, does it?😡

CHAPTER-46

Everyone in the hall stared at Maan in shock, while Geet stood in the corner, with her head lowered, and tears streaming down her cheeks. She looked up in surprise, when Daadima came closer to Maan, and slapped him hard on his cheek.

Geet gasped out loud, and hurried towards Maan, while Daadima slapped him again. He stood there, without wincing, when Geet held his shoulders, and spoke, as Daadima raised her hand again to slap him.

" Daadima, baas kijiye… humne uss baat ko bhula diya hain…" she tried to say, when Maan said, in a quiet voice, " This is something, which you should have done, Geet. Lekin, aaj Daadima ke karke bilkul thik kiya."

" Aap yeh kaisi baatein kar rahe hain, Maan?" Geet said, in dismay, trying to hold off Maan from Daadima, who was glaring at him.

Finally, she spoke. " Hume laga tha, ke you're the most sensible grandson I have. Lekin, aaj, humara bhram aapne tod diya, Maan. Jis ladki se aapne shaadi ki, jiski saari zimmedari li, aapne usske saath aise kiya kyun? Aur kaise? And how dare you didn't tell any of us this the whole time?"

" Maine mana kiya tha, Daadima..issme kehne keliye kya hain? Galti toh insaan se hi hoti hain..aur.." she stopped as Daadima interrupted her, " Woh aapki soch hain, Geet. Humari nahin.. hum Maan ko iss baat keliye kabhi maaf nahin karenge."

Maan lowered his head, and said, " A man had called me that night to tell me that he had the pictures, but, I have to pay him money to get them. I was so desperate to prove my suspicions right, that I deposited the amount of money he asked for in an anonymous bank account. Ever since I came to know that the photos were fake, I've been trying to trace that account, Daadima, to find out who owned it."

" And?" Daadima, asked in a cold voice, her anger evident.

" It traced back to Vicky first", Maan said, looking at Daadima, who stared back at him, in surprise.

" Bhai, main? I don't even know what account you're talking about?" Vicky exclaimed.

" I told Geet, and both of us knew that Vicky couldn't go to this extreme to harm our relationship. So, I told my people to keep looking. And, today, finally, I know who the owner of the account is." He finished, staring defiantly at Naintara, who gave him a blank look.

" What?" she looked around, and saw everyone staring at her, " You think I did this? How can I? I was in Canada when this happened?"

" Yes, you were. But, it doesn't take much to operate an account on a fake name here, does it, Naintara?" Maan spit out.

Daadima stared at the scene in front of her, and suddenly, sat down on a nearby sofa, with a thud. Geet and Pari immediately moved closer to her, holding her hands tightly, when she whispered, " Aap logon ne yeh kya lagake rakkha hain?"

" Daadima," Naintara cried out, desperately, " I have no idea, what Maan Veerji is talking about. I didn't even know he is married, till you told me."

Daadima looked at Maan, who scoffed. " You think I believe you?"

"I don't care if you don't, but, it's the truth", she screamed, when something in Maan snapped.

He moved forward, and held Naintara tightly by her arm. Shoving her towards the door, he shouted, "Get out of my house. Right now."

The whole family moved in front, as Geet grabbed hold of Maan's shoulders, trying to calm him down.

" Maan!!" Daadima cried in dismay, "Aap yeh kya kar rahe hain?"

"Daadima, there is a reason why I want her to be thrown out",Maan screamed in anger, while Geet held on to him tightly, to make him stop.

"Hum nahin maante…" Daadima said, adamantly. "Aisa nahin ho sakta…"

" Daadima, the proof is right in front of your eyes. How can you still not believe it?" Maan said, exasperatedly, his grip still painfully tight on Naintara's arm.

" Woh aisa kyun karegi?" Daadima said, shaking her head.

" Because… because… she wanted to marry me first", Maan closed his eyes, as the words left his mouth.

The whole family stared at him in surprise, while Geet was the only one who was still busy trying to pacify him. Dev saw the whole scene in front of him, but, being the coward he was, he didn't dare open his mouth to protest against his brother, or say something in favour.

' Naintara wanted to marry me, but, before she could succeed, I came to know about her intentions. She was just after the money and fame. So, I refused and threw her out of my life. But, then, she went on and married Dev. She is the reason; I thought Geet had also married me for money." Maan said, in shame.

" Naintara, aapne yeh kaise kiya?" Daadima asked, as tears filled her eyes.

" I didn't do anything. And, this account, it's not mine." She screamed, deliberately avoiding the part where she wanted to marry Maan initially.

" JUST GET OUT OF THIS MANSION, Naintara", Maan shouted out, in a loud voice, when Daadima said, " Hain, shayed galti humari hi thi, ke I brought you guys back from Canada. Aap log chale jayiye. Just go away from here."

Daadima broke down crying, and sank down on a sofa again. Maan rushed to her side, and tried to hold her hand, when she jerked his hand away and said, "Nahin, you also let me down, Maan. After what you did to this girl here. Please don't come near me."

Maan moved his hand away from her, and stood back. Geet came and sat near Daadima, her eyes filled with tears.

"Daadima, inki koi galti nahin hain. Yeh toh mujhse bohut pyaar karte hain. Yeh..this was just a misunderstanding. Inhe maaf kar dijiye." She pleaded.

"Aap aisa kaise keh sakti hain, Geet?" she asked, in surprise.

" Oh! Stop all this" Naintara screamed out, putting an end to Daadima and Geet's conversation. " Veerji, I'm telling you for the last time, that I don't own this account. I didn't try and break off your marriage. Hell, why will I waste my time…" she couldn't complete her words, as Geet came and slapped her hard across the cheek.

" Bohut hogaya…you're the reason, that Maan and I had so many problems in our married life. And, you're standing here, lying through your teeth." Geet said, in a cold voice.

Naintara stared at Geet with her eyes spitting fire. She glared at Dev, who stood there sheepishly, and said, " You all will regret this, especially YOU!" she turned her finger towards Maan and Geet.

" Just go, Naintara.PLEASE!!" Daadima cried out in a low voice.

She glanced back at all of the people before walking out of the door.

" I will make sure you pay, Maan Singh Khurana" she promised herself.

PRECAP: You bitch! You did this to me…you framed me, when all the whole time, you had the account in your name.

Now, I won't be responsible for what I do to you Mk, Sasha!!

I know, I am VERYYY late, but, it's hell here at my end. My finals start in 10 days, and the teachers are suddenly going crazy as it has just hit them that they need to finish the HUGE SYLLABUS!!😕

I am sorry guys, I know, I update late, but still you all stick by me. I promise you, once I am done with my sem (which will be somewhere around the 25th of April) I will pay more attention towards my writing.

I will update all my FFs religiously then. I may also start updating A Sudden Change Of Heart too,.

loved the update...poor maan..he is still paying for his one mistake..but good that geet is with him..naintara is outdone here by sasha...sasha will definitely pay a higher price..
