Okay guys... me updating now... but incase I do not give the update today... please do not blame me... because it is a long update and I have to get up early next day... I will try to definitely finish it off today!!!😊

CHAPTER 8

Next morning at Maan's place, everything was set. the plan was in progress and he was sure of the fact that he will succeed in trapping Geet.

He saw the decoration clearly and with an eye for detail. Everything was perfect- just the way he liked it best. Maan smiled. Geet was sure to like the decorations too...

At Geet's place Geet had woken up early in the morning and got ready in an old pair of white chooridaar. She remembered the Holi in Hoshiyaarpur and smiled sadly.

She remembered how she used to colour her parents and Darjee with her best friends Rajji and Pinky.

It was the only day of the year when Geet was not scared of her Darjee... a man with very strict principles.

Last year during the time of holi she was absolutely new in the city and therefore did not go out to celebrate the festival- her favorite of all indian festivals.

The colurs sent in her a very fuzzy sense of recklessness as if today of all days she would be free- be the Geet she was and not the geet everyone wanted her to be.

Arnav called her up. " Hey Geet. Are you ready?"

" Very much and waiting for you," she replied chekily.

Arnav smiled and stopped his car infront of her apartment.

" I am outside. Come quickly. I don't think I will come up now."

" Okay. Fine," she said and sprinted to the door.

So excited was she that she did not even bother to wait for the elevator. Instead she sprinted down the staircase and into Arnav's car which was waiting for her.

She smiled widely at him while Arnav observed her carefully.

Shehad a million dollar smile on her face and was wearing a chooridaar. Her hair was tied in a new fashion with her duppata. ( Think Muskaan of DMG) All in all she looked beautiful and happy. Very happy.

Geet urged Arnav. " Let's go."

" Woh... Geet.." Arnav said tentatively.

" Yes?" she looked up expectantly.

" Uh... actually we are not going to Avinash's rented place today."

Geet looked surprised. " But why? Party toh waha hain. Hain na?"

" Waha tha. Lekin Avinash ne mujhe phone karke bataya ki waha ki booking us ghar ke maalik ne cancel kar di. Kyon ki koi amir aadmi bhi woh jagah chahta tha."

Geet's smiled dimmed. " Phir hum Holi nahi mana payenge?" she asked sadly.

" Arrey nahi. Avinash ne hume ek dusri jagah par bulaya hain. Hum waha jayenge."

" Kaunsi Jagha?"

" Tum jab pohochogi tab pata chal jayega."

Normally though Geet hated suspense she was so charged up with excitement that she did not mind this small wait.

But as soon as the car drove into the place, her eyes were fillled with alarm and her mouth parted in horror. It was THE KHURANA MANSION. Maan Singh Khurana's house or perhaps palace.

She looked at Arnav with accusing eyes and he shrugged apologetically.

" I am sorry geet. Main tumhe yaha nahi leke aana chahta tha. Lekin tum itna khus thi ki main tumhe bata nahi paaya. Mujhe pata hain ki Holi tumhara favorite festival hain aur tumne pichle saal Holi celebrate nahi ki. Issiliye agar iss saal bhi..."

Geet did not let him continue and said a bit coldly. " Agar aa hi gaye hain toh Holi maanate hain."

Arnav sighed. He knew that she was angry.

As soon as geet stepped out of the car, Arnav held her shoulders and said," Geet please. i am sorry mujhe maaf kardo."

Geet was not a person who kept grudges with her best friend so she said," Arnav main tumse naraaz nahi hoon. Mujhe problem hain toh sirf iss baat se ki tumne mujhe sach batana zaroori nahi samjha."

Arnav held his ears. " Sorry."

Seeing his adorable expression Geet cooled down.

Avinash came holding a plate of gulaal to put on each other.

Geet smiled at him and greeted him HAppy Holi. Avinash was about to ut some gulaal on geet's face when suddenly Maan appeared on the scene.

He held Avinash's hand and said," Avinash if you don't mind I would like to be the first one to put colours on these two. After all it is the first time they have visited my house."

Geet looked up to see Maan and it would be an understatement to say that she was shocked to see how handsome he was looking.

He was wearing a white kurta with chikankari work and white pyjamas to go with it. Around his neck for a flash of colour he had put a blue dupatta that came with the dress. He was looking devilishly handsome with a killer smirk adorning his face.

Taking a bit of red gulaal, Maan put the colour on Geet's face. She looked beautiful with the red colur enhancing her fair skin. Her skin felt like satin on her fingertips. And when she opened her eyes afetr feeling his touch, her hazels captivated his eyes.

Avinash broke their eyelock saying," Geet app bhi zaara Maan ko rand laga dijiye."

Maan smirked while geet's eyes widened. Arnav tried to stop them but was unsuccessful. geet took a bit of colour and without breaking eye contact put a bit of colour on his cheek. His rough stubble tickeled his fingers and she felt vulnerable looking at his face.

The 4 of them then put the colour on each other and finally Maan ushered them in.

Arnav was carried aaway by Avinash despite his million refusals and geet was left alone.

She felt a bit lost in this huge crowd when suddenly she felt a hand on her waist and jumped with shock only to see it was Maan standing next to her with his hand on her waist.

Meanwhile on the otherside Arnav questioned Avinash," Avi, tumne jo jagah book ki uska kya hua?"

" pata nahi Arnav. Aj subha jab maine unhe phone kiya toh unhone kaha ki hamari booking cancel hogayi hain aur kisi aur ko mil gayi hain. Lagta hain kopi bohot hi amir aadmi ne book kiya hain. Issilye hamari booking cancel karwadi."

" Hmm." Arnav nodded.

Avinash continued," Aaj agar Maan ne mujhe subha phone nahi kiya hota toh main ye party kar bhi nahi pata. Maan ka bhala ho. Unhone mujhe kaha ki ye party hamre film ke cast and crew ke liye hain aur agar main chahoon toh apne doston ko invite kar sakta hoon."

On the other side with maan and Geet, Geet tried to free herself from Maan's grip which consequently tightened around her.

Maan bent forward and then softly wispered in her ear," Havinga nice time Geet?"

Geet looked at him and replied," When you are near me to ruin my day how can i have a nice time?"

" Tut tut tut. A fierce lioness all the time, I see. So what shall i do to make you enjoy?"

" You decide that," Geet supplied acidly.

" Sure," Maan smiled arogantly and walked forward.

He wishpered something in the ears of a man who nodded.

Soon Geet unmistakably heard the sound of drum beats and saw Maan standing with his arms stretched out wide infront of her.

Seeing Maan singing and dancing Avinash and Arnav came nest to geet. Seeing maan's obvious attempt directed towards geet Avinash nudged her forward to dance.

Thought she declined at the begining she had to give up in the end.

As the music played Both Maan and geet danced to their heart's content

followed by the others who circled around them.

Suddenly maan pointed his finger at geet and sang.

Then taking a bit of colour from his surroundngs colured Geet's otehr cheek.

Gora Badan Tera Rang Diya.

Geet opened her mouth wide in shock and then recovered and said:

Oye Mundiya, Vaada Raha,

Suli Pe Jo Na Tujhe Tang Diya.

Maan in a masti mood sang

Main Suli Pe Chad Jaanva,

Tu Bol Abhi Mar Jaanva.

Geet retaliated back by pointing her finger at him.

Main Tujhse Agar Dar Jaanva,

Dil Naam Tere Kar Jaanva.

Maan entangled his finger with hers

Yaad Rakhna Mera Kehna,

Ye Dil Ek Din Mil Jaane Hain.

Boys Chorus: Hum Tere Deewane Hain, Hum Aashiq Mastane Hain.

They all danced with both Maan and Geet to showing off their dancing prowess to each other.

Then Maan called out from behind Geet

Geet retaliated.

Badi Masti Tujhe Chadi Hai.

Maan danced and started coming forward.

Maan hugged Geet while the guys choroused

Bahane Se... Bahane Se...

Geet pushed Maan away and started dancing around him.

Then coming close to him sang.

Main Aagayi Phir Bhi Tere Bulane Se...

The girls sand in chorus.

Bulane Se... Bulane Se...

Maan held her hand in his and put it near his heart and smiled mischeviously.

Soch Kar Tha Tujhe Aana,

Aakar Vaapas Ne Jaana.

They continued looking into each others eyes while the men and women danced around them.

Hum Tere Deewane Hain, Hum Aashiq Mastane Hain.

Ye Aashiq Lut Jaane Hain, Dil Sab De Tut Jaane Hain.

They were lost in each other when the music changed to Bahngra and Geet being the true Punjabi girl started dancing to its beats.

She was still dancing when Maan sang in a softer tone.

Gam Ho Ya Koi Khushi,

Purva Ka Jhonka Hai.

Ek Aaye Ek Jaayega,

Kyon Dil Ko Roka Hai.

Geet remembered how Maan had tormented her and placed the challenge before her.

She became very sad and sang.

Is Dil Ko Humne Nahin,

Hame Dil Ne Roka Hai.

Koi Bata De Zara,

Kya Sach Kya Dhoka Hai?

A tear drop escaped her eyes. Maan wiped it and said.

Ye Duniya Saari,

Badi Hai Pyari,

Yahi Ek Sach Hai,

Ye Sab Rang Bade Suhaane Hain.

Saying this he threw a fistful of colour in the air and everyone danced.

Maan again sang.

As the chorus started they started dancing to their heart's content.

After the dance Geet started to find Arnav when Avinash came upto her. " Geet mujhe toh pata hi nahi that ki tum itna accha dance karti ho!!!"

Geet smiled at his compliment and asked him,"" Avinash, tumne Arnav ko kahi dekha hain?"

Avinash replied," Actually main tumhe wahi batane aya that. Actually Arnav ko office se koi phone aya tha toh use do din ke liye Delhi jaana pad raha hain. Kuch hi der main uski flight hain. Woh tumkhe khud batana chahta tha lekin use der ho rahi thi issiliye maine usse kaha ki main tumhe bata dunga."

Geet's smile dimmed. " Magar main ghar kaise jaungi?"

" Don't worry. Main tumhe ghar drop kar dunga."

" Alright."

Suddenly someone called Avinash. He said to geet," geet tum yahi ruko. Main aata hoon."

Geet nodded and went to sit on a chair kept at the side.

Suddenly a waiter appeared infront of her with a glass of Thandai. He offered it to her.

Geet declined saying," Nahi. Main Bhaang nahi peeti."

Waiter said," Maam, yeh Bhaang nahi thandai hain."

Geet then relented and took the glass.

Taking the first sip, she felt a bit dizzy but she did not pay heed to her thoughts and drank the entire glass,

Maenwhile the waiter showed a thumbs up signal to Maan and he smirked evily.

Sure enough he saw Geet trying to stand properly and went up to her.
