I had this nagging thought eating at my brain earlier, ...that Maan and Geet's mothers were the same person. I was even going to beg you to tell me that wasn't the case. But then I went back and realised they are too close in age for that to be possible so I heaved a sigh of relief.

Maan's gut seems to be running away with him...

Even though Emily presents other viable possibilities, his "gut" is stuck on the child accomplice.

And it was his "gut" that guided him to those old case files.

Now it was also his gut that said it was "him" in the very first chapter.

What I wonder is if one gut feeling links to the other and if gut is code for subconscious.

I am sorry if I don't make much sense. I am trying to sound incredibly intelligent and clearly failing miserably! 😆

He was the quickest to jump to the theory that the child was involved, though it seems the unlikeliest of all the possibilities. His strange familiarity, his uneasiness and most importantly, his loss of memories prod me in that direction.

Now these cases which all seem connected even after being years apart... Its possible that somebody is carrying out the murders, perhaps a descendant or a pupil? Or perhaps the killer himself/ herself with the help of a younger stronger accomplice...
