~Episode 74~

Scene 1:

"Anjali, main aur Chillu nahi aa rahe hain. Please tum log chale jao."

"Tum dono nahi chaloge toh hum bhi nahi jayenge. Arre unhone humein specially invite kiya hai, and if we don't go it'll be rude."

"Anjali, tum unko humare taraf se sorry kah dena. But we are not coming."😕

"Geet, tum yeh sab kya kar rahi ho?😕 Jab se Maan Singh Khurana se mili ho tum itna ajeeb sa bartav kyun kar rahi ho. Tum zarroor kuch chupa rahi ho."

Geet is scared but she manages to hide her fear.😕

"Nahi aisi koi baat nahi hai.😊 Woh tumse aur Chillu se milne aaye the. Aur iss party main bhi tumhari wajah se humein bula rahe hain. Main aur Guru zarroor aate, par tum jaanti ho mere usoolon ko...I mean I hardly know him or his family," she lied, her words almost faltering.

"Theekh hai, I won't force you. But Chillu ko toh aane do. Maan Khurana usse bahut pasand karte hain, kitna attached ho gaye hain woh inn bachon se, especially Guru se jaise woh unka hi..."

"Bilkul nahi...Anjali please" she gasps in fear.

"Theekh hai...agar koi bhi zarroorrat ho toh phone kar dena...ab usme toh koi problem nahi hai na Madame."

"Nahi..." she smiles.

After they left, Geet falls to the ground crying.

Guru was listening to all the conversation from behind the curtains. He slowly walked to Geet, after Anjali and Chillu left and asked her, "Mamma, aap royiye mat, mujhe Maan uncle ki party main nahi jaana hai, mujhe yahin aapke saath rehna hai."

Geet looks at her baby, a complete reflection of Maan, except for her eyes. She pulls him into a hug and says, "Mamma ka beta bahut samajhdaar hai...I love you beta...I love you."

"I love you too Mamma."

But in reality Guru wanted to go to the party and meet Maan...He felt happy and secure with him, like he would have felt with his father, but unfortunately the child didn't know that he felt safe and happy with Maan because he was indeed his dad, whom he was waiting all this time.

"Mamma, main apni diary likhne jaa raha hoon..."

"Okay beta...Mamma abhi khana laga degi."

Scene 2:

At the party...

Anjali, her husband Rahul and Chillu are mesmerised by the grand arrangement. They meet Maan who greeted them humbly. But his eyes wandered around to have a glimpse of the two people who mattered to him most.

"Aap Geet aur Guru ko doondh rahe honge, woh dono nahi aaye. Geet ne aapse sorry kehne ko kaha hai."

Maan tries to look unconcerned and says, "Koi baat nahi...aap log please party enjoy kijiye."

Maan then meets other guests, and some of them ask him about his wife, to which he had no answer. Then Dadima comes and tells them that his wife and son would join them soon, to which Maan gave her a stare and Dadima like always dismissed his angry look with her confident demeanour.

"Dadima, yeh aap sabse kya keh rahi hain? Aap ko pata bhi hai..."

"Maan beta please aap shaant ho jayiye. Hum aapki Dadi hain, koi employee nahi. Hum kuch bhi karenge aur kahenge and you'll not reprimand me like this."

"Dadima...main toh bas..."

"Bas enough is enough aapne bahut man-mani kar li...ab aap chup chap humari baat suniye," she stops, and then points to the door, "actually suniye nahi dekhiye..."

Maan looks at the direction she was pointing and goes blank...because right there like an angel holding a cherub stood Geet with Guru in her arms. Maan wanted to run to them but restrained himself. But Dadima couldn't so she rushed to them and held them both to her chest, tears gushing.

"Geet, aapko humari bilkul yaad nahi aayi?"

"Nahi Dadima, bahut yaad aayi parr main Maan ki zindagi main ek problem nahi banna chahti thi..."

"Geet, aapko galat fahmi hui hai...Maan aur..." but before Dadima could complete her sentence, Anjali interrupted her.

"Geet! Mujhe pata tha tum Guru ka dil kabhi nahi dukha sakti," she then turns to Dadima and introduces Geet to her, "Dadima yeh Geet hai, meri saheli, aur Guru se toh aap mil chuki hai."

Dadima is not listening to Anjali, she is just looking at Guru with tears in her eyes.

"Yeh toh meri jaan hai...," she picks Guru into her lap and hugs him, then suddenly realises that everyone is watching her, "...matlab yeh itne pyaare hain ki sabhi inko apne seene se lagana chahenge," she hugs him again, knowing that he is her own great grand-son, her Maan's baby whom she longed for all these years.

"Hey Guru accha hua tu aa gaya...chal na...jaake Maan uncle ke room main khelte hain," says Chillu excitedly.

Guru begins to go with him when...

"Guru ruk jao..." Geet stops him.

"Kya hua Mamma?"

"Bete aap mere saath hi rahiye..."

"Geet jaane do na...ussi ka toh ghar hai...I meant yeh ghar bhi uss ke ghar jaisa hi...jaane do bachon ko..."

"Theekh hai, parr sambhal ke..."

"Thank you Mamma."

...

"Geet, yaar kitna bada ghar hai na. Aur ab Maan Khurana yahin rahenge. WOW!"

"Hmmm..."

"Kya hmmm?? Tum kuch bolti kyun nahi? Tab se haan...hmmm... ke sivay aur kuch nahi keh rahi ho? Baat kya hai?? Arreee dekh Maan Singh Khurana...chal chalke baat karte hain."

"Nahi Anjali mujhe nahi aana."

"Uf-oh! Tum na... main jaa rahi hoon, tum yahi khadi raho."

Scene 3:

Dadima sees both Maan and Geet stealing glances at each other.

"Babaji, kuch toh ho raha hai, parry eh dono admit nahi karenge. Geet samajhti hai Maan aur Sam ek saath hai, aur Maan naaraz hai kyunki Geet ne un par vishwaas nahi kiya...Ab in dono ko milane ke liye mujhe hi kuch karna padega."

Dadima gets on the stairs and takes a mic...

"Ladies and Gentlemen! I want to thank you all for coming to this party and giving us an opportunity to meet new friends in this new city. Now, main aapko zyaada bore nahi karoongi and aap sabko yahn dance floor pe invite karna chahoongi. Lekin...lekin...isme ek twist hai...aap apne partners ke saath nahi balki mere dwara choose kiye random partners ke saath dance karenge..." there a buzz among th guests...

Naughty Dadima has a plan in mind to bring Maan and Geet close and this dance was going to put her plan in place...

"So are you all ready..."

She separates men and women on two sides. Geet and Maan stay away...After sorting all, Dadima moves to Maan...

"Oh! Sabhi ko partners mil gaye, parr mere pota toh akela hi reh gaya..."

Geet wondered where Sam and her son were...

"Dadima, please stop it...main bilkul samajh raha hoon aap kya soch rahi hain...I am not going to dance "

"Arre beta aapko kaun dance karne ke liye bol raha hai..." she then speaks into the mic... "Iss party main everyone should dance parr Geet ka right partner toh usse mila hi nahi, iss liye hum unke partner ko le aaye hain...MAAN!"

"Dadima?"

But it was too late she pushed him towards Geet, who was really embarrassed and looked around really embarrassed.

Maan approaches her, but she looks away. He looks at her, and forcefully takes her hands into his and pulls her to the dance floor. 😳
