Well both Edward and Jacob are angry about the baby because its going to kill the baby...later IT KILLS BELLA...so Edward is trying all he can to bring Bella back to life and Jacob is extremely angry/hurt...so finally he goes to see the baby as he's upset and with a thought of expressing this in front of her...but it happens that their eyes meet and he is able to see that Rene is not a monster...not a bad person...she is going to be there for him...she cares...she trust Jake just like Bella did and while seeing only it happens! IMPRINTED! 😉

Also in bg his dialogue plays that all of sudden its not gravity holding you to the ground its her and you can be ANYTHING for her and do ANYTHING for her...and thats what he sees that they both share a bond 😳
