@Shivi: You left before I logged on today but I just wanted to say that you pointed something out in your take on the episode that even I thought was crucial for V's characterisation. When he took the phone and spoke to Geet he said "maine usse bolne layak kahan choda" which was a blatant lie. He made it sound like he had won the fight, when in fact he had only struck after the fight was over. This proves that his feelings, motivations and actions lie in a moral vaccuum, where what he wants is "right" and anything in the way is "wrong".

I think he likes to make himself out to be a passionate lover, torn from his love, a tragic hero of sorts and unfortunately for no fault of her own, probably just because she was pretty, Geet became the singular focus of this image of himself. He uses this as an excuse to bring out all the issues of his very disturbed mind. I hope they go further into what made him this way because the issues probably go back to childhood, unless it's a clinical thing.
