She picked it up, " Hello?"
" Well Hello Dr.Meera Rathod… kaisi hain aap?" asked a familiar voice. Meera frowned, " Sorry.. maine pechana nahin"
" Sorry kyun bol rahi ho Dr. Meera… sorry to mujhe bolna chahiye" said the voice again. " Who is this?" asked Meera.
Maan and Sameer looked in her direction and Meera stood up and walked out of the waiting room.
" Aap shayad mujhe nahin jaanti ho… par main aapko jaanti hoon"
" Please batayiye warna main phone rakh rahi hoon" snapped Meera.
" Oh ho… patience my dear! patience…." Added the voice with amusement.
Meera raised an eyebrow, " Boliye warna-"
" Well Dr. Meera… aap mujhe to jaanti hongi… mera naam Nitya Khurana hain." Said Nitya. Meera's eyes flew wide open, " Aap!?"
" Of course! Aur kaun… acha main tumhe yeh batane kay liye phone kiya tha kay… Im very sorry to hear about your best friend's murder!" said Nitya with fake concern.
" Don't you dare utter anything about Geet Nitya Khurana…" hissed Meera.
" Is that way you talk to elders Meera Rathod?" asked Nitya…
" This is exactly the way I talk if you piss me off" hissed Meera. " Oh hoo.. itna ghussa? Bilkul Jai bhaiya ki tarah ho…"
" Listen Nitya Khurana… I don't have time to deal with you… so please kindly shut the phone and never call me again" snapped Meera.
" But don't you want to hear how Geet was murdered?" asked Nitya. Meera paused and Nitya faked a laugh, " Of course you do Meera Rathod… Jai bhaiya would do the same with Rajveer"
Meera didn't say a word and she let Nitya talk, " Tej Singh Handa tried to kill Geet… and you know what? He is probably as crazy as Rishab bhaiya was" chuckled Nitya sarcastically.
" And it is all your fault Nitya Khurana… you're a damned woman" snapped Meera.
Nitya scowled and Meera narrowed her eyes, " It is all your fault Nitya Khurana… I swear to God that Geet and I will personally make sure you suffer"
" If she even has a chance of staying alive… or even is alive at all, since the whole scene was very brutal of course" said Nitya.
" Its better that you never call ever again Nitya Khurana or else I will make sure you suffer with every tear that my best friend shed pleading for help!"
Meera without another word shut the phone call. She took a deep breath and said, " I would personally rip her head off right now"
" Meera" called Sam.
Meera turned around and said, " Sam tum?"
Sameer walked towards her and said, " Was it Nitya bua?"
Meera rolled her eyes, " Who else would call at such a lovely time?" Sam knew that Meera was extra angry when she was really sarcastic.
" Meera… Nitya bua is like that… she loves to put salt on our wounds" said Sameer. Meera only raised an eyebrow, " If she wasn't your bua… I would push her down a cliff"
Sameer let out a chuckle and he said, " Im sure you would baby…"
Meera rolled her eyes and said, " Would you like to listen to our conversation?"
Sameer frowned and Meera began fishing through her phone and found the conversation that she recorded.
Sameer began to hear it and he smirked, " Wah Meera… good going!" Meera smiled proudly. She had quickly recorded the conversation since she couldn't take chances.
As the conversation went on Sameer's expressions changed and he said, " That woman is unbelievable!"
"And there is solid proof on our side…" said Meera.
" We should let bhai know!" added Sameer quickly. Meera nodded and they walked towards the waiting area.
They found Maan sitting on the bench with a blank expression." Bhai" called Sameer softly. Maan looked up and said, " Haan Chote… kya hua?"
" Who bhai…aapko kuch suna na tha" replied Sameer. Maan frowned and Meera walked over and sat beside Maan.
" Veerji… suniye" said Meera. She played the clip to him and his expressions changed in a matter of minutes.
" SHE called YOU?"spat Maan.
Meera nodded and Maan said, " That woman is never going to change…"
" Bhai, what should we do now?"asked Sameer. Maan only replied with a, " Let Geet get better Chote…"
Sameer nodded understandingly, and Maan instructed Meera to keep this recorded onto her laptop and send the recording to Sameer.
Meera did as she was told and sent the recording to Sameer's phone and she would later put this onto her laptop.
" Just let Geet get better… and Meera you should go home… I'll be here" said Maan. " Nahin Veerji… main nahin jaa rahi" said Meera.
" Meera… jao" said Maan a little bit more sternly. Meera sighed and nodded. " Just come back later Meer…" said Sam supportingly.
She nodded and walked off while Maan was still there with Sameer…

The next day, Maan was pacing around furiously while Sameer brought his personal items. Maan looked at his younger brother and frowned, " Didn't dadimaa ask you where you were going with my things?"
Sameer rolled his eyes, " Of course she did… but all I had to say that I would send the bag over to you"
"And she believed you chote?" asked Maan with an amused expression.
Sameer suddenly smirked, " Style ki baat hoti hain bro…"
Maan raised an eyebrow, " Acha?"
"Of course… no one can resist Sameer Singh Khurana's charm" added Sameer with a cocky expression.
"Really Mr. heartbreaker… And now what will we say to Meera about your 10 girlfriends? Added Maan.
Sameer gulped, " Bro… yeh kabhi mat karna, warna Meera mujhe zinda nahin choregi"
" So where is all that charm now chote?"said Maan.
Sameer nervously laughed, " Down the drain thanks to you bro…"
" Good… I like the sound of that" replied Maan with amusement evident on his face.
The brothers were talking until they saw Dr. Noor walking out of Geet's room. Maan immediately stood up and asked, " Dr.Noor is she okay?"
Dr. Noor smiled, " She is awake Maan… you may see her"
Without another word Maan thanked her and rushed in followed by Sameer and shut the door behind them.
Maan rushed to Geet's side and sat down.
"Mishti…" whispered Maan softly. Geet slowly opened her eyes as she got use to the light.
Maan held her hand softly and kissed it, " Utho Mishti…"
She looked around and then to him. A small smile appeared on her lips as she saw him.
Maan kissed her forehead and said, " I was terrified of losing you Geet…"
She only managed to say, " Itni asaani se main peecha nahin chorne wali"
Maan smiled and laughed a little. Sameer stood beside Geet's bed, " Good morning bhabhi…"
"Good morning devar ji…" whispered Geet.
"How are you feeling now?"asked Sameer. " Im okay… but I want to get up…" replied Geet.
"Bed rest mishti…" added Maan.

"Screw the bed rest… I can't even stand laying on this bed!" whispered Geet.
Sameer let out a chuckle and Maan only said, " How are you feeling now? Do you need anything Geet?"
Geet sweetly smiled and said, " Nahin Maan… "
" Anythingbhabhi?" asked Sameer.
" Nahin chote… main theek hoon" said Geet. Sameer smiled and nodded, " I'll call Meera"
He turned around and then immediately saw Meera coming in with a large smile on her face. Sameer was surprised, " Abhi tumhara naam liya hain"
" Mr. Sameer Singh Khurana… main Geet ki best friend hoon,never forget that" said Meera.
Geet smiled, " Meer… kaisi hai tu?"
Maan stood up and let Meera sit down, " Tu bata Geet… tu kaisi hain"
" Theek thaak abhi tak" said Geet. " Im glad kay tu sahi ho gayi hain" added Meera. " Mujhe kya hona tha?"
"Kuch bhi nahin par, ek baat meri kaan khol ke sunle… tu iss kamre se bahar nahin jayegi…" instructed Meera.
" Yes maam.. aur kuch?" asked Geet.
" Stop it Geet… tu har waqt mazaak karti rehti hain!" replied Meera. " Oh Meera Rathod, please take it easy will you?" added Geet.
" Not at all Dr. Geet… you need rest you can get" said Meera. Geet chuckled, " Acha yeh bata.. tu ne daarji ko kya bataya?"
Meera's expression darkened,"Its not important…"
"Meera pagal mat bun, bata" said Geet. She looked at Sameer and then to Maan, " Aap log batayiye!"
" I told him you were at a emergency medical camp" said Meera.
Geet broke into a large smirk , " Good going Meera Rathod… now Daarji is going to kill me"
" Aur kya batati! Kay tu-" said Meera quickly until she stopped. Geet's expression darkened and she went completely quiet.
Geet closed her eyes for a second and all she could see was a film of the entire incident happening again in front of her eyes… her screams… her pleading…
A tear slipped down and she opened her eyes. Maan wiped her tear, " Mishti… rotay hain unke liye jo humaray liye bhi rooenge"
Meera took Geet's hand, " Im sorry Geeto… Im sorry…" Without another word she stepped back and turned around and left.
" Meer-" called Sameer.
" Sh... just let her chote" said Geet softly. "Par bhabhi-" began Sameer. " Sh.. I know her the best chote, just leave her alone and she will be fine" replied Geet calmly.
Sameer nodded and Geet tried to brighten her expression a little bit more, " Im telling you tricks of how to deal with my best friend chote"
Sameer smiled and nodded, " Should I write them down?"
" Paper pencil lekar ghoomte ho kya?" teased Geet. Sameer chuckled, " We missed you bhabhi"
Geet smiled, " I did too…"
" Acha Geet… enough of talking.. tum rest karo" said Maan. He looked to Sameer and nodded his head.
Maan kissed her hand and forehead and Sameer hugged her from the side and Geet ruffled his hair.
" Apun ka style hain bhabhi ji" said Sameer. They were leaving until Geet said, " Maan…"
Maan stopped and turned around, " Haan Geet kya hua?"
Sameer smirked and he said, " I'll be outside…"
Sameer left and closed the door behind him. Maan walked over and sat beside her bed, " Kya hua?"
" Stay with me jaan…" whispered Geet. Maan nodded and he put his hand on top of Geet's, " Im sorry Geet…"
Geet frowned, " Maan aap sorry kyun keh rahe hain?"
" Kyunki maine tumhari baat par vishwas nahin kiya" said Maan with a guilty expression.
"Kis baat par?" asked Geet. " You texted me saying that you felt like something bad was going to happen and I didn't believe you" replied Maan.
Geet sighed, " Maan iss liye? Itni choti baat par?"
" Itni choti baat nahin hain Geet…! You almost got killed!" said Maan. Geet looked up with a blank expression on her face, " Maan… that scene is playing like a film reel in front of my eyes"
"Geet… your nightmare is over… ab tum mere paas ho aur koi bhi tumhe kuch nahin karsakta" said Maan protectively.
" Par Maan… why would my own brother do that to me?" asked Geet quietly. " Geet… there are things you need to know" said Maan.
Geet frowned, " kya?"
Maan began telling her the entire story that Sameer had told him and about their plan.
Geet was absolutely speechless and she looked at Maan with sheer disbelief.
" Nitya bua loved my father?!" gasped Geet. Maan nodded. It took time for Geet to take it all everything that Maan had said.
" She is just getting revenge isn't she? And using my brother?" said Geet.
" Geet your brother is equally responsible for your state!" said Maan with clenched teeth. Maan looked away impatiently and stared intently at the floor.
"Maan… jo hua so hua… abhi humay yeh sarhad hatani hain..saath saath" added Geet calmly.
"I hate it… I hate seeing you like this Mishti…" mumbled Maan. Geet let out a little chuckle, " Thakur Maan Singh Khurana zara yahaan dekhiye…"
Maan turned his head to look at her slowly and Geet only smirked, " Ghussa aapke naak par rehta hain"
" And you Geet? Aren't you angry? Don't you feel frustrated? Sad? Furious?" asked Maan.
Geet only said one thing, " Agar mere paas mera Maan hain… to mujhe koi fikar nahin hain… koi gilla shiqwa kisi se nahin hain"
Maan went completely quiet at her reply and Geet chuckled, " Maine aapko chup kar diya kya?"
Maan took her hands in his and kissed it, " I love you mishti"
" I love you too jaan" replied Geet.
" And there is another piece of good news for you Dr. Geet…" added Maan.
" Kya Maan?" asked Geet.
"Dadajii gave me the title of Bade Thakur" said Maan. Geet's face lit up brightly, " Jaan Congratulations!"
"Give me a hug right now you big bear" said Geet. Maan stood up and he dipped down to hug her.
He kissed her cheek and said, " We both need this jaan… both of us"
" Mmm… baby congratulations!"
They broke out of the hug and Geet smirked, " Behetiye Thakur ji…"
Maan smiled and sat down again. " To main aapki thakurain hui?" asked Geet. Maan showed his gorgeous smirk, " Jo bhi aap theek samjhe thakurain…."
Geet sighed, " I hope you don't grow a beard and get fat Thakur sahib"
" Main aur mota hona? Geet tum aisa kaisay soch sakti ho?" asked Maan. " Oh ho ji Im just teasing!"
"Acha Geet tum araam karo… main jaata hoon… theek hain?" asked Maan. Geet pouted, " Abhi aaye ho…"
" Its better you rest…" said Maan. Geet sighed, " I should do what I tell my own patients to do "
" Exactly Dr. Geet… I'll see you in a bit?" replied Maan.
" Haan ji…" said Geet.
" Bye jaan" said Maan as he kissed her hand one more time. Maan left the room and found Sameer and Meera talking in the corner.
" Sam I can't see her like this" sobbed Meera.
" Tumhe himmat se kaam lena hoga, and this is for a little bit phir sab theek ho jayega" said Sam.
" Par Sam? How long? Aur Daarji? Jab who dekhenge to pata nahin woh kya karenge!" replied Meera.
Sameer wiped her tears, " Listen… hum sab saath hain aur tum Daarji ko sambhalogi"
" Aur woh vaada?! Agar Maan veerji aur Geet ko kuch ho gaya? To hum kya karenge!" added Meera.
" We will follow what they say Meera… aur yeh baatein tum mat socho! Please" said Sameer.
" Nahin… agar meri best friend ko kuch hua naa… to main kisi ko maaf nahin karongi!" hissed Meera.
" Meera. Relax! Please…" said Sameer.
" Main relax karoon?" asked Meera with her eyebrows raised.
"Thande dimaagh se socho Meera…warna tum khudi pachtao gi" hissed Sameer.
Meera went quiet at Sameer's reply. She had never seen this side of him.
" Main iss dunya ko bhi aag laga sakta hoon un dono kay liye… to tum yeh kabhi mat sochna kay Sameer Singh Khurana kuch nahin karega" snapped Sameer again.
He turned around and started to walk away till Meera called out to him, " Sameer…"
Sameer stopped and Meera fiddled with her fingers and looked down where she walked towards him.
She stood behind him and put her hand on his shoulder, " Sam…" said Meera softly.
Sam turned around and looked away impatiently. She put her hand on his cheek, " Naraaz ho gaye?"
He switched his gaze to her and she then curled her fingers on her ears for an apology.
"I'm sorry Sam" said Meera. Sameer took a deep breath and intently looked at her, " Meera yeh kabhi mat kehna…"
"I know it hurt you Sam… I realize it.. par Im sorry" said Meera apologetically. He could not stay angry with her for long and wrapped his big arms around her enclosing her in a hug.
" I'm sorry kay main bharak gaya…" said Sameer softly and Meera wrapped her arms around him, " I love you…"
He kissed her forehead and Meera closed her eyes in his arms, " Bus humay patient rehna hain…"
" I promise kay hum chaar saath hongay Meera…" added Sameer.
"I trust you with my life Sameer…" whispered Meera. " I love you Meera… I love you so much" added Sameer.
"EHM EHM" coughed Maan.
Sameer and Meera suddenly broke apart and looked away nervously. Maan crossed his arms across his chest and said, " Kya ho raha hain yeh?"
Sameer looked at his brother trying to hide his embarassement, " Bro…did you just take Geet bhabhi's job in eavesdropping?"
"Not at all…"smirked Maan.
"Bro main-" said Sameer trying to explain himself but was shortly cut off. "Veerji yeh bhi na! har waqt romance shomance!" added Meera.
Maan raised an eyebrow and Meera gulped, " Main jaa rahi hoon…" She quickly ran off and Sameer called out her name.
Maan stopped him and said, " Aap kahaan jaane ki koshish kar rahe hain?"
Sameer gulped, " Bhai… woh…"
" Woh kya Sam?" asked Maan with amusement in his voice.
"Who Meera bechari depressed thi… aur maine socha-" stuttered Sameer.
Maan raised both his eyebrows, " Aur tumne socha kay main uske saath romance karoon usko?"
"Nahin bhaaii… not at all… yeh kaisay socha aapne!?" gulped Sameer.
" Socha nahin chote thakur… dekhaa…" smirked Maan.
Sameer let out a nervous laugh and ran his hands through the side of his hair trying to hide his cheesy smile.
Maan let out a laugh and Sameer smiled, " I'm happy to see you smile after a long time…"
"Chote tumhe pata hain kay meri haansi Geet se juri hain" said Maan.
"Acha bhai bohot bhook lag rahi hain… lets go get something?" asked Sameer.
"Chalo…" said Maan following after his brother.

" TEJ SINGH HANDA!" roared Daarji. Tej walked out with Veera and narrowed his eyes, " Ji daarji…"
" TU NE GEET KO PHONE LAGAYA?" asked Daarji.
" Daarji who abhi busy hain" said Tej.
" Tu uska veerji hain… aur tujhe uski koi khabar nahin hain!?!" demanded Daarji.
" Nahin Daarji…main busy tha" said Tej.
Veera looked over to her husband and gulped… She looked down. Daarji switched his glare to Veera, " Aur tu Veera?!"
Veera was quiet….
"BOL…" snapped Daarji. Veera shook and finally said, " Woh abhi agle hafte aarahi hain…"
"Veera! Tu to Geet ki hamdard hain… tujhe kya ho gaya hain!?"
"Kuch nahin daarji…" mumbled Veera.
Rano came walking out wiping her hands with a towel and she frowned, " Veera tu theek to hain?"
" GEET KA KOI KHAYAL KISI KO NAHIN HAIN KYA?!" roared Daarji.
"Daarji woh theek hogi… medical camp gayi hain naa?..." said Rano.
Daarji sighed, " Meri bachi gayi hain… meri laado…"
Tej rolled his eyes and walked away whilst Veera was trying not to cry… She walked off in the opposite direction.
Veera ran into the kitchen and started to cry, " Im sorry Geet… Im sorry…"
Veera knew of what Tej just did… but she had no other choice but to stay quiet… but she decided she would go to the hospital to see her.
"I tried protecting you… I tried Geet…" sobbed Veera.
She put her hand on her stomach and said, " Agar meri yeh halat nahin hoti, to main ussi waqt unko police ke hawale karti…"
She wiped her tears and decided she would visit Geet in a few minutes. She went over to Daarji and told him she would be going for a checkup.
"Rano tere saath chalti hain Veera" said Daarji as he flipped through his newspapers.
"Nahin daarji… bohot lamba hoga… main jaati hoon…" said Veera. " Theek hain puttar… driver ko lekar jaa.." said Daarji.
"ji daarji…" said Veera as she turned around and left.

Veera arrived at the hospital and she went over to the front receptionist, " Ji Dr Geet ka kamra kaunsa hain?"
" Aap inki kaun hain?" asked the receptionist.
"Main Dr. Geet ki bhabhi hoon" replied Veera. " Ji… ek minute" said the receptionist.
A few seconds later the receptionist told Veera, " Room 103 straight down to your left" Veera thanked the receptionist and left towards room 103.
Veera arrived and opened the door. She froze at the doorway.
"GEEET?!" gasped Veera.
Geet immediately jolted a little and then Maan even stepped back. His expression hardened.
Veera went to Geet immediately and she looked furious, "Geet! Yeh maan singh khurana yahaan kya kar raha hain!?!'
