Rollz wonderful post .. although GHSP is the only show I watch I am well aware of the shows that are inspired .. sometimes too inspired LOL .. of GHSP .. and I guess that just goes to show the calibre of GHSP in the first place..

Leaving the show is a different thing but then going against it is completely different...

There are so many things which we first saw in Ghsp n now they are shown in other shows...it feels bad...but look at the other side of the coin...their fans also say that ohh this was first shown in ghsp...so it'll be always remembered...

I only really started watching Indian TV soaps from DMG, Kis Desh days that too not on regular basis. I would watch episodes of other shows here and there. With Geet, I started watching this show around the time when the office scenes started and got hooked. This is the only show that has actually managed to keep me interested in it even after getting day after day of useless episodes. One of the reason is of course GurTi, but I think the biggest reason is the hope of seeing the old GHSP magic back.

Geet's story of a romance between a rude/angry Man and a sweet bubbly Girl is not a new concept but I believe strongly that the old creatives managed to come up with some very original and innovative scene concepts. Frankly even the memory loss track has been handled way differently than any other Indian show. Even the track of Geet misunderstanding Maan or vice-versa have been handled differently. In fact the list is endless.

I dont watch any other shows at present.. but ripping off a scene here or a scene there is very different from ripping of entirety of scenes and then making the fans believe that they are original is wht gets to me. I wouldn't mind if the original was given some credit or acknowledgement.

Frankly if these shows did not belong to the same production house and the same channel group and if this was not India, the plagiarised show's producers would have had a multimillion dollar lawsuit to deal with.

It hurts to see the fans of the plagiarised show claim it as changing the face of Indian television or the leads of the shows redefining the meaning of love etc when its clear that neither the leads are half as good in acting as the originals nor the scenes, even though are total rip offs, come close to creating the same magic. It's sad to see that just cos Geet was and is being aired on a channel with poor reach, the show and its leads did not and are not getting the recognition they deserve and have gained. But it is also heartening to see that there are fans out there, like urself, who recognise this truth and appreciate the 'original' Geet.

Kesh: VERY true and very nicely put .. I share the same sentiments :) And I hate that GHSP wasn't branded to be the one that changed the way love stories are told .. and it really did break all norms .. whether it was romance, misunderstandings, even something like memory losss..to me its always been different ..

The ever supporting original cast of Naintara, Dev, Daadi, Adi, Pinki, Sasha, Birj..etc👏
And the most talented Drasthi and Gurmeet and all other cast👏

If others are adapting something from GHSP means our show was that good. Still I dont want to forget the ORIGINAL TREND SETTER!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️

GHSP may not be having a smooth ride now, but at its peak it was the best!! 😃

(This is for Keesh who is sad that GHSP could not get the deserved recognition and appreciations the other shows are getting since they are telecasted to a wider audience)😊

S true, at its zenith, GHSP was absolutely rocking...I still remember the jungle and hut hug when Maan saved Geet from Brij, and how Geet openly broke relations with her family.
