Hey all!!!🤗

SInce I've been highly inactive for awhile, I like to make up for up a somewhat decent post! Apologizes if it sticks!😆

Do you think the show should continue on as a comedy or go back to being a drama?!

My response:

I think the Drama needs to be there. Why?! That's the only way to bring back lost viewers for one. Also, Gurti rock as comedy, but I think they excel as Drama...I mean Drashti is one of the best cryers I've ever seen...and Gurmeet has an amazing collection of expressions. I think it's not worthy of their talent if they can't get complex, emotional and dramatic dialogues and scenes.

Lastly, I love Maneet romance, but with the comedic environ it's too childish...when it was a full on drama there was so much passion! i think if it were a Drama again we will get more passionate scenes. **Not bashing: I totally loved their scenes and the current episodes, but it's nothing compared last year's passion!

Sorry if I offended! Just wanted to have a good conversation!!! get active and please don't kill me if I made you mad!!! 😆

me completely agree with u...it ws drama factor that gave GHSP the highest TRPs it ever had...comedy can entertain people who are already glued to the show Maaneet no doubt...but not those who are fond of logic and story in a show...I myself know a few people who used madly follow GHSP everyday till max Dec-Jan last year (till Maaneet marriage) and now also they dont mind watching it ...but dont make it a point that they dont miss it...or may be opt for repeat telecasts

and as u rightly said with talent like GurTi...the drama gets more and more dramatic...

definitely my choice would GHSP drama over GHSP comedy

and even the show title doesn't go very well comedy...right😆

Hetu...
Long time... How have you been and where are you...
Agree to you..
My response:

I think the Drama needs to be there. Why?! That's the only way to bring back lost viewers for one.
Indeed the drama element is needed. Infact a daily soap be it a saas bahu saga or a youth based program or something out and out romantic any type requires the drama element... If i want comedy then i might as well laughter challenge or comedy circus... What i mean by drama is something that hold the viewers interest and is warm hearted... We don't want intense or tragic stories with loads of suffering that can make you depressed.. Maaneet Office track last year was an excellent example of drama + comedy + light hearted romance. it was all pretty balanced with good story and logic... what we have right now is mindleess comedy circus..
Also, Gurti rock as comedy, but I think they excel as Drama...
You throw any damn thing at GurTi and they are the best with it...
I mean Drashti is one of the best cryers I've ever seen...and Gurmeet has an amazing collection of expressions. I think it's not worthy of their talent if they can't get complex, emotional and dramatic dialogues and scenes.
Exactly... Drashti i wouldn't call her as a best crier.. (Tulsi - Smriti Irani still holds that spot) 😉 But both Drashti and Gurmeet are versatile... Drashti has that charm that can make you cry whilst you laugh and make laugh whilst you cry and Gurmeet indeed has a array of emotions that he portrays beautifully with his gestures.. And both have pretty expressive eyes... I mean just take this episode on Monday except for the starting 4-5 mins there was no dialogue in the entire episode and yet was enough to hold anyones interest. Thats how amazing they are and your right they are not getting the right kind of scenes ... i thought the two weeks after the ML track started when we had NT back were awesome ... and check GurTi's performance then... It was mind boggling...

Lastly, I love Maneet romance, but with the comedic environ it's too childish...
I agree.. wonder how someone who is 11 years experienced in the industry can write such crap and try to justify it too.. People in the forum have visions better than him...
when it was a full on drama there was so much passion! i think if it were a Drama again we will get more passionate scenes. **Not bashing: I totally loved their scenes and the current episodes, but it's nothing compared last year's passion!
Oh! last year was awesome... The creatives then had a vision and thats something what the existing team lacks... they knew the definition of passion... with minimal physical contact we had maximum passion and now... **** Sigh****

Sorry if I offended! Just wanted to have a good conversation!!! get active and please don't kill me if I made you mad!!! 😆
No you did not... 😉 Welecome back!!!

hetu...i would take the drama over the comedy any day...i would also like to add that the show has turned into a sit com...it is based on a different situation everyday...this eliminates the story telling element...its as if the story ended with maaneet's wedding...and a sit com was born...i fell in love with the dark drama...and would be head over heals again if we got the drama back😳

Why would anyone disagree meri jaan?? When this show was a romantic and passionate tale with the dramatic element very much there AS WELL as classic comedy (in the form of Maaneet) I see no use of bringing in useless, worthless, pathetic characters in the name of comedy because frankly THEY'RE.NOT.FUNNY. Maaneet were enough to create comedy last year..they made me laugh till I cried .. and they made me swoon, cry, hyperventilate..everything. Now..when the premise of every track begins with a dramatic element..that element is quickly packed off and we get a round of comedy circus that lasts so long that we find ourselves scratching our heads asking "where's the comedy?" ...
To be honest even I love Maaneet right now ..but the fact that they're been sidelined and have been giving the role of supporting cast doesn't sit well with anyone ... they need a dramatic/suspenseful/intriguing track of their own with supporting characters ... that's the only way we can generate interest again :)
Great post Hetu I totally agree with you!

Yes Coco...first off nice to see u back and making a topic...
Drama element is definitely missing from the show...comedy...romance...and all should be part of the drama...but only that is present at the moment...there is no story nor drama.
