@errrm...i don't know where you live but according to the Indian Penal Code what happened between Dev & Geet was rape. Even though the consummation was consensual, according to Indian law if the man has sex with a girl under deception its termed as rape. Yes, in the show it has never been referred to as such but technically it is rape...🤔

@Jyo

So true, beggars cant b choosers
I watched all the episodes till the wedding in one go fast forwarding every scene where Maneet weren't there. So it was a smooth journey, I didnt have any complaints😍.
But once I started following the show daily, I started expecting something and then getting disappointed. I guess mainly because its not just a show for us, its more than that. We think abt the show through out the day, I thing abt it at work and everywhere, I think abt it more than I think abt my husband 🤣. Thats the reason why anything they show affects us so much, as its more than a show to us and a dear part of our life now

Jyoti06, you are so right. Even Annie-Arjun track... i think most population of GHSP Fans did not want that track and wished it to be closed ASAP. But still the track was carried on for long time. So it does not seem like they really look into people's demands, which in one way i like bcoz the people who start making a series they should be all clear what they want to show, whats the goal and focus of the creation and stick to it till the end without loosing any essence for ANY reasons (including viewers' demands). Then only one can create high quality work. And GHSP also lost its main focus and essence badly in midway. I really can not understand how Gul & whole team,PH, Channel whoever, measured that initial story was not successful (even though the TRP was high) so changed the complete purpose of the series and feel now that its successful (Even though TRP is much lower). Does any one have any idea how could they have thought that initial story, execution, plot which was a real Master-Piece was not liked by viewers even though that created tens of thousands of fans online as well as non-online watchers which gave them high TRP too?

I wish the original people who created this Master piece and maintained its quality and essence so high till Dec mid, can come back and turn it again into that beauty as i am sure they do have that kind of talent and can still do this turn around in spite of this show gone down so low.

Or hope they can get together again and create another Master Piece like this. I would really love to see their work/creation again and again (thats why its so much wonderful to still keep watching Geet's old episodes again and again)

Another piont why all viewers r hating this saint Dev is because if Dev was given a chance to show his saintly side then why NT was never given the same chance ?? Why so conveniently Dev puts all blame on NT as if NT asked Dev to go and sleep with Geet
We say NT tried to kill Geet and so she was more evil...but did we try to see the root cause of why NT tried to kill Geet ??Its because she was ditched by Dev as that time Dev was busy doing nain-matakka with Meera and so we saw a frustated NT trying to kill Geet ..if that time Dev had tried to give another chance to his marriage with NT ,then mayb today NT would hv never turned that extra evil and mayb people would hv actually accepted his redemption too ...😊

I agree with swan20
I dont know abt laws and all that, but morally I think its rape. Just because she agreed to it without knowing the truth, doesn't make it consentual.
For gods sake we live in a world where we see parents abusing their children sexually, and the children dont come out and shout rape, but its still rape and nothing else.

Jyo I agree... said it a few pages back...
all me is saying now that nandini should not dare to Question geet if Dev's truth comes out... cause nandini was told to ask Dev about his past...but she neglected that advise...and went for an bet...marriage on a terras... such a BS...
coming to geet duti as an sister she could tell about her past... she is neglecting her sisters duti here... and yes her duty towards beeje is also neglected... that is why I want Beeje to ask her the Q:
why did geet permit Nandi (her sister) to marry Dev (her rapist)...what was she thinking... what right did she had... cause Beeje gave responsibility off her children to MSK... she was hoping that he would help them to move up in life... but was the mother hoping for a move up in this way...
well no mother would agreed to this marriage... it's like pushing her is the same dirt, where MSK saved Geet from...
as siad before My only hope is with MSK... he should not allow/permit this...

@Errrm......

It is true...diff people have diff threshold as you said...But when u are telecasting a show...It behooves the makers to have empathy towards the survivors and women as they watch the show most for their entertainment...rather than giving the fraud NRI's a benefit of doubt and encourage some to continue what they do..

I have no probs with your opinion...But a TV show like Geet which has been inspirational to many and did impact a lot of young minds and women..It is a pity makers have made many repent
wasting their time on it..

The violated women might feel a sense of acheivement or satisfaction vicariously had Dev been punished ..which would not have been possible in reality...

@Shali:I agree here ..Geet did tell Nandini to herself go and ask Dev about his past and so she should not accuse Geet about it later ...
@ghsp1:Well said 👏👏..CVs never really took the right feedback of the fans and always went for the wrong choices ...also Gul khan saying initial track dint work and so they went for all positivity is a contradicting statement because glorifying a culprit in a saintly way and showing victim-culprit turning pyaara devar-bhabhi where victim is playing matchmaker for her culprit is not really positivity here 🤔😆..they dont want any social message drama or dont want to punish Dev ..fine ...but why glorify this whole victim-culprit ka relationship and make a mockery of devar-bhabhi relationship ...if they wanted to show proper redemption of Dev here ,then they could hv shown Dev ka sufferings a bit but well he always enjoyed the company of girls around him 😆

@Jyo...i agree with you. Apart from the issue of how he abused Geet...both emotionally and physically, the fact that he has not even once faced the consequences of his actions has the viewers angry and screaming at the Cv's for justice. Dev's redemption has been just a hogwash to make the viewers feel sympathy for him. He has very conveniently shifted all blame on his wife and got away as the ''poor'' husband who did no wrong.

As for Geet's behaviour with him. Most viewers had no problem with her forgiving him because we understood her desire to do that in order to move on and start a new life with Maan. But forgiving cannot and does not mean that a woman forgets all the atrocities that have happened in her life and embraces (figuratively speaking) her culprit as a friend. As a woman, she'll always be wary of the man who cheated her. And now when we see her encouraging her own sister to marry this very man, its natural for us to object...
