In spite of all going on and on about the hurricane Irene no one could stop me to watch Geet.. So Now I thought I will just put my few thoughts on the ME.. I started it in the afternoon simultaneously wathcing the hurricane news.. I hope I can finish it by midnight ha ha... hope you will enjoy..
I must say this was the best ME.. the show has ever given so far..
The ME Started with Geet in her room at night thinking about the situations and knowing that she needs to do something to save Nando's life as no one knows better then her that NT could go to any length to acquire the property.
Geet is in real dilemma.. no one could know NT better then Geet. She knows that NT can go to any length even to kill some one if she wants something very badly. She is extremely worried about her sister at the same time she does not want to cheat Maan as she knows she simply cannot break his trust.
Early Morning Geet is still sleeping in her room on her side with her doors wide open (really who does that????) and Maan passes by her bedroom and his gaze falls on Geet's sleeping form. He stops in his tracks and watches her peacefully sleeping... Suddenly he sees her turning in her sleep and he realizes that she may role on the floor and hurt herself.. He quicklly runs and softly stops her delicately holding her arm so that she may not role on the floor and then he softly turns her the other side and tucks the pillow to support her head from rolling.. He was extremely careful in this entire process as if not to break her sleep. Once she has comfortable position he stands there looking at her sweet innocent face and then turns to leave.
(The heart to heart talk between Maaneet on the day of the fast has done wonders for them. They both know where they both stand with each other and that they both would not over crowd each other or step on any ones toes...
But the most significant thing happened with Maan as there were so many misconceptions he had about Geet. And He realized that he was reading Geet completely wrong. She is nowhere near where he thought she is.. The light dawn on him why Dadima and Dev and Adi and the whole staff loved Geet so much.)
Then Geet as if feels him and opening her eyes sees him She stops him and walks near him with the intention to tell him about NT.. But NT walks in her room and tells Geet that they need to do preparation for Maan Veerji's Birthday.. Maan walks out and NT starts her rant about the property papers and gives ultimatum to Geet sayin do as she says or else the life of Nandini will be in danger.
Dev is in his room keeps on thinking about Nandini's disappearance he does not believe the facts which are in front of his eyes as he has seen NT's smirk and craftiness
After NT leaves. Geet gets ready for the day and walks in Dev's room and does not find him so she starts calling him. But NT comes and disconnects the phone and once again issues her warning about Nandini's life and thus trapping Geet more and more in her games and making her helpless. Geet has tears in her eyes and she just feels like trapped deer.. NT gloats some more on her schemes and walks away with a twisted smile. Geet is totally worried about the situation but knows she definitley has to do something but what she has no idea or plan.
Geet comes down the stairs deep in thoughts...
Lucky's voice that now Dadima can see the pictures brings them in present and their gaze moves on the screen. The wedding pictures are on... The Mangalsutra... the eye lock.. the Bidai and Maan holding sad Geet and walking her out... Gruha Pravesh and stepping in the house with Maaneet eye lock..
I loved the way the pictures were selected very significantly... Maan putting the Mangalsutra looking in to her eyes with a tender smile showed Maan did it with his own accord and he loved her so much that he was so happy to give her the rights as his wedded wife and that Geet has full rights as his wife.
The Gruha Pravesh with the imprints of their feet on the cement block shows Maan arranged that for Geet and that told him that how badly he wanted to cherish that moment of the entry of his wife in his house that he took the print of their first entry in his home as husband and wife..
and then the Geet's palms print on the wall.. that rituals is the rights given to Bahu by the MIL... shows she was given the rights of Bahu by Dadima over the entire household that also when her husband carried her in his arms happily shows the approval of her husband in that rituals
and lastly they both laughingly kissing Dadima.. Showed him how happy dadima was with their union and how much they both wanted to give joy to their beloved dadima.. I think in those few pictures Maan could see that it was his desire to marry Geet and give her all the rights of the wife and with total approval of dadima who gave full rights of DIL of Khurana Khandan to Geet
Geet looks at Maan tears welling up in her eyes. Both are feeling little awkward. Maan was about to walk away.. Geet calls him Maan? He instantly turns to her with a question in his eyes but NT walks in clearing her throat. Geet and Maan look at her. She looks piercingly at Geet and smirks. Geet as if sucks her breath in and looks at her. She walks forward praises Geet. Geet looks at her and giving Maan a glance she goes in the kitchen to check the arangement. NT butters up Maan for giving his assents for the party and tells him that she has called the media to cover the event... (Actually she called media to witness her victory.) But behind them Mamu hears that and feels happy that media would be there thus giving him opportunity for his fame.
Dev is still worried about Nandini. He keeps on thinking about Nandini's time with him and does not believe the facts which are in front of his eyes as he has seen NT's smirk.. He tries to solve the mystery on his own, as he does not want to worry Geet about it. So he calls A'sar.. hears Beeji's voice but no Nandini... That makes him wonder how could Beeji was there as the note says Beeji was not there. He goes to her room to search for some clues.
Meanwhile the famous Jasoos our Mamji walks in NT's room to ask for the favor with Media. He hears the cell phone ring. He ignores but then remembers the Media and picks up the phone. NT's man tells him that the cricket team is coming back from England so there is a lot of security on the airport so he would like to shift the girl to Shadra's Goyal wearehoue as there recent hideout is near the airport. But before Mamu says something he hears somebody walking toward the room and he quickly keeps the phone on the bed and leaves.
Standing in Nandini's room Dev calls her friend finding the phone from her diary. But gets no news of Nandini.. He mumbles that Nandini is neither at home nor at her her friend's and no phone call from her... He then concludes that it is so unlikely and there is definitely something fishy
Geet walks out of her room totally worried and in total dilemma and not finding any solution... as she was not even able to talk to either Maan or Dev She stands near the pillar totally worried and calling her babaji to help her... Well her help arrives in the form of Maamji wearing the Indian cricket team outfit babbling the conversation with the kidnapper saying all the girls are being shifted to Shadra's Goyal warehouse but without anybody taking any notice. Geet listens to his blabber but Lucky tells him to go in and get ready for the party. Then he sees Geet standing worried so he walks to her and asks why does she look worried. Geet just shakes her head and waves his questions saying nothing. He also tells her to get ready as guest will be arriving soon..
Geet is seated in her room in orange saree but looks very pensive. The papers from NT are lying on her dressing table. She mumbles sayings I will have to take the signature from Maan for the sake of Nandini. Now there is no other way I will have to talk to Maan. Then Adi walks in her room with some business paper that needs Maan's signature. He says I am sorry to ask you to do this on this family celebration day but the deal with Mr. Kapoor has to be finalized today. Geet holds the papers and ponders a lot as if she already knnows what she would do and then puts Adi's papers away on the table and picks up NT's papers.
Everyone is in the foyer. Maan is standing with Adi. The guests walk in with gifts and flowers and wish Maan for his Birthday. Geet is standing with Pinky looking over her shoulder at Maan. A guest walks with his wife and praises Mrs Khurana for wonderful arrangements. The wife says you are lucky to have a wife like Geet. Maan lifts his eyes to look at Geet. Geet looks at him for few seconds and turns her face away from him. Some more people come and wish Maan and Adi welcome them. Geet looks over his shoulder at her husband. NT walks behind her and plastering the fake smile asks her if her work is done. Geet shakes her head. NT says with a smile if she was waiting for the death of Nandini. Geet looks totally distressed. NT walks out saying poor Nandini...
Dev is at the Bus stop asking at the ticket window showing Nandini's picture if he has seen her around.. the guy says no and upset Dev walks out of there mumbling how come they could not see her as they are here all the time.. He thinks that if she did not go from here then where did she do? There is something shady here..
In the foyer Geet is standing behind Maan and trying to find the opportunity to talk to him but he was talking with few guests. She desperately wanted to talk to him but she fears that NT is watching her. She says I will have to take Maan away and talk to him privately.. Suddenly she sees a waiter walking toward Maan with a tray of water or drinks. She quickly walks in his path makes him stumble on Maan with the tray soaking Maan's cloths. Maan steps back but is wet already. He tries to shakes his cloths but he realises that he needs to change. Adi scolds the waiter. Maan does not say anything to him but then Maan turns to Geet and says he needs to change his cloths and will be back in a moment. Geet nods at him
Maan goes inside and after a while Geet follows him. (He told Geet that he is going for a change of cloths... Hmmm being courteous... )
NT walks in her room searching for her phone. She finds it and the call comes from her goons who asks her as why did she disconnect his phone. NT tires to remember and concludes that she did that cause Geet was with her. Then she rudely asks him what was the reason for call. The kidnapper tells her about the tightening of security around the airport as the Cricket team is arriving from England and so the need to shifts the girl in different location. She tells him to what was the need to think about it you should have done it long back. Now shift the girl to Shadra ware house asap. She disconnects the phone and hears some sound from the window. She tries to look through the curtains but finds nothing. She waves it aside as her imagination and gets out of her room as it was getting late for the party. Slowly Geet comes out from behind the window and says hmm so she has captured Nandini in Shadra then her mind picks up the world Shadra thinking where did she hear that word today and then she recalls mamji's words of all the girls being kept in the Shadra's warehouse.. She quickly goes in search of Mamaji and finds him in the kitchen eating. He tries to hide but she pulls him and asks him about what does he know about the Shadra warehouse.. she tells him about Nandini being kidnapped and pleads him to remember where did he listen that word. Mamu tries hard but could not remember and being despaired she was about to turn and go and but then mamu calls her back and tells her the details of the phone call.
Dev is getting in his car and puts on his seatbelts saying I need to go back home asap. And his phone rings. He pulls the phone saying oh the call from Geet. He picks up the call saying yes Geet. Geet fearful voice comes on saying Dev Nandini's life is in danger as NT has kidnapped her and now she gave me the paper for the property asking me to get it signed by Maan so that she can be the owner of all the properties. She continues in tearful voice saying Dev if we did not do that way then she may hurt Nandini but Dev quickly says No Geet nothing will happen to Nandini. I will not let anything happen to Nandini. Do you know where is nandini. Geet gives him the address saying in Shadra in Goyal warehouse. Getting the address He disconnects the phone sits in his car contemplating his move and starting the car moves on his mission of saving his love Nandini.
Geet comes to Maan's room and knocks on his bedroom but Maan was in bathroom changing.. She walks in and Maan comes out of the bathroom. He looks at her and says simply yes Geet. She says seriously Maan I want to talk about something. He looks at her questioningly saying yes Geet? She was about to say saying that NT but NT was at the door looking at her with squinted eyes her phone in her hand ready to dial the number of her goons.. Geet stops in her tirade'. Maan looks at her quizzically as if understands that she has changed the subject but waits for her to say something. Geet looks at NT and tells Maan that she needs his signature. Maan says what papers. She says haltingly regarding Mr. Kapoor's paper of the new deal. He says oh yea and takes paper from her saying those papers for the deal right? saying he puts the paper on the table and signs his name Maan Singh Khurana. NT feels happy at the door. Geet calls him saying Maan won't you read it. Even without looking at her he tells her that you have read it and that is enough. A soft smile comes on her face and she looks at NT who was grinning broadly. After signing the paper Maan hands over the paper to her saying softly here you go Geet.. She looks at him and once again as if he feels something and knits his brows.. Geet takes the paper from him.. Someone was approaching so NT quickly goes away from there. Lucky comes on the door saying oh you two are here and every one is in the foyer waiting for you. (The change in Maan's behavior is pretty impressive.. He is being extremely civil with Geet and answers her politely and lets her know about his whereabouts and he completely showes his trust in signing the papers without even looking at it)
Here Dev has arrived at the warehouse and opening the door quietly he enters looking around. Finds no body not a single person to guard the prisoner.. He mumbles that he is at the right place as what Geet told him.. he walks further in but could not see anything he turns his head in all direction to see if anybody is there and suddenly his eyes fall on Nandini seated on the floor all tied up. His heart as if misses the beat and he was totally horrified to see her in that condition he softly speaks her name' She looks at him and slowly nods her head as she was all gagged up and could not say a word.
Lucky and Adi walks down the stairs of KM. Lucky was trying to say something in the microphone but it was not on... and Adi helps him out.. He welcomes all in the party and Adi declares that the dance floor is open for the couple for dancing. The light is dimmed and the beautiful song from the movie Jurm starts.. Jab koi bat bigad jaye... jab koid mushkil pud jaye tum dena sath mera o humnavaz.. Which says If anything goes wrong in the life or some difficulties come in my life please do not leave my side o my life partner...
Geet and Maan are dancing with different partners. Geet looks at him and he looks at her.. There were only three couples on the dance floor. Taking few steps the male partner swirl their lady partners and in the next step they change the partner. On the third swirl Geet comes in front of Maan. The lights were dimmer now focusing on Maaneet.. She stands there with bowed head waiting for him to accept her for the dance. They look at each other.. Maan had little frown on his forehead'... Geet lowers her eyes she was about to step away. Maan arms goes forward and he catches her hand. Geet looks at his face with teary eyes. And the beautiful words of the song starts.. jab koi bat bigad jaye jab koi mushkil pad jaye.. tum dena sath mera o hum nawaz... the words are in female voice as if Geet is telling her husband that please be with me in all the ups and downs of life and every trouble in my life and do not leave me ever.
He slowly takes her arm and lets it rest on his shoulder and then he softly slides his palm on her waist. And takes her other hand in his arm to dance with her her palm resting in his and his long fingers covering her hand. With wide teary eyes and slightly parted lips she looks at him and to her utter surprise he starts dancing with her and swirling her around with the song.
The stanza starts with the words... Vafadari ki yeh kasme nibahyenge hum to rasme ek bhi sans zindgi ke jab tak ho apne bas me' (I will keep my promise of my faithfulness and fulfill all the rituals with you until my last breath which I could manage)
Geet keeps on looking at her husband her heart in her eyes and Maan keeps on looking at her emotional face.. her longing in her eyes.. once more he swirls her around his eyes fix on her face... They take couple of slow steps with the music still looking at each other.. Geet's gaze was soft seeking the love in his eyes.. where as Maan's gaze was intense trying to read her.. Raw emotions floating between them...
The stanza starts with the male voice saying.. dil ko mere huva yakin hum pahele bhi mile kahin.. silsila yeh sadiyo ka koi aaj ki bat nahi.. ( my heart believes now that I have met you before and this is not the talk of today but it has been going through the centuries..) The female voice repeats the same words.. the words of the song and the implication of those words touches Geet and beautiful smiles comes on her face.. She keeps on swaying softly looking in his eyes with soft smile while Maan was still looking at her intently... Geet feels like they are alone in the hall dancing softly looking in to each others eyes and smiling at each other singing the words of the song to each other... jab koi bat bigad jaye... jab koi mushkil pad jaye tum dena sath mera o humnawaz.. They smile at each other and Maan looks in to her eyes and smiles tenderly...
(OMG though it was her imagination but to see those expressions on Maaneet was sooo dreamy OMG I feel like I am in 7th heaven... fantastic soft slow dance... perfect for their situation and their raw emotions)
Suddenly Geet realizes that what she felt him smiling and singing with her was her imagination. She suddenly stops dancing her face has stricken expressions of her dreams being broken.. She as if pulls his hand from her waist and looks with the tears in her eyes. He sees all that turmoil on her face but she quickly walks away from him before she breaks down in front of him and he stands there alone looking at her departing back. He too looks disturbed with her stricken expressions.
NT is checking her cell phone. Mamu comes to her asking for the dance. She angrily tells him with gritted teeth just shut up. Her angry answer as if drives Mamu away but then to her utter irritation he comes back to her . Asking if those people from the news papers were called by her. She does not answer him but he asks her again and she says yes I called them so what? Jugnu mamu says oh man you are great you did such a great work I want my picture to be taken for the news paper but they told me they would not do it for me. I even told them I know you but they say they need the note from you. NT was really getting annoyed and was looking at her watch and looking at the phone... mamu repeatedly tells her to write the note for her... to save her from that blabbering she says resignedly.. ok I will write a note for you but now let me go.. Mamu objects big time saying oh these people will not come tomorrow... please write the note for me now. He keeps on bothering for the note saying I have pen and a paper too just give your signature and then exasperated and getting tired of his blabber she gets so aggravated that she asks him angrily where the heck I need to sign on the paper.. Mamu pulls two light greenish legal looking paper and tells her to sign at the bottom of the paper. Fuming and without a sceond glance at the paper she signs the paper and smacks the pen in his hand saying now are you happy?? Mamu says oh yes my picture will come in the news paper and you will also get the credit... She walks out angrily from there. (These light greenish color papers looked like legal paper. Mamu turn the paper on the second page so she did not even see what was on the first page... Hmmm interesting part)
Mamu folds the paper and tucks in his shirt and goes away from there being happy that his picture will come in the newspaper. Geet was standing in the foyer and NT comes asking for the papers of the properties. Geet fumbles saying papers??? NT gets angry and pointing her finger at her face says stop playing drama and give me those papers otherwise I will call my men saying she shows her cell phone to Geet as if to dial the number.. Geet stops her and says No NT please listen to me here are the papers saying she hands over the papers to her. NT's eyes glint and as if gets even bigger looking at the papers.. She snatches the paper from Geet's hand and opens them and looks at them. A satisfied grin comes on her face... she waves the paper in her hand and says that's it.. Geet looks at her with stricken face.. NT smiles and gloats saying now this house... this property all belong to me. I have become the owner of all this. NT keeps on grinning like an idiot. Geet eyes fall behind NT.. Suddenly NT looks at Geet's calm face and she stops grinning. Geet was trying to hide her expressions so she looks down and then she lifts her eyes to look at NT and smiles a little. NT stares at her and Geet slowly signals her to look back.. NT turns to look back and sees the family with Adi and Pinky lined up behind her in half circle looking at her with horrified expressions.. Pinky and Dadima and Adi then Maan and mama and lucky.. She looks at them Maan looks at her furiously with all other giving her hard stare. NT turns to Geet who just stops smiling and looks at her steadily. NT stares her trying to figure out what is Geet up to.. She scoffs at her and says oh so now everyone knows the details.. well that is great as they will know later anyway but it would have been little difficult to accept the truth about these papers later that now I am the owner of this whole house. Maan glares at her. NT smiles crookedly and turning to Maan and Dadima she says why are you looking at me like this?? then taunting Dadima she says why are you so surprised dadima why did not expect me to do this? Maan and Dadima just look away. NT just scoffs at them and says with a grin gosh such a foolish family is this. Dadima and Maan turns their faces to glare at her and Geet purses her lips and looks at her. NT smiles with her sarcastic tirade saying how in the world could you trust me that with my head bowed I would come to ask for your forgiveness or to repent!! Maan glares at her and dadima looks at Maan and smiles... She was one way happy to know that Maan's eyes were at last open to NT's schemes... NT is making fun of Maan's trust on her.. NT says vehemently no I came here to snatch my rights which I already snatched.. She keeps on pacing in that half circle.. She says with a smile that I had to do a little bit of manipulations to do all these.. like I had to gain your trust.. Had to say in this house and the biggest of all was to tolerate my stupid husband.. Dadima gets outraged by her statement about her grandson and glares at her.. Even Maan gets angry at the insults of his brother.
Dev makes an entry with Nandini with him saying oh NT why are you in such a hurry? All eyes turn to look at Dev and then seeing Nandini with him all seems to feel happy. Maan too as if heaves the sigh of relief seeing Nandini unharmed. Geet looks at NT's shocked expressions.. Nando runs to Geet mouthing her name on her lips and with a smile Geet takes her in her embrace asking Nandini are you ok? Tearfully Nando nods her head.
NT walks angrily toward Dev and says Dev you with Nandini? Geet says yes he is then she tells all as how it happened. She says she overheard NT to shift the girl to Shadra and then she remembered overhearing that word from Mama. She continues saying some how Mama came to know about NT's plan and I went to mamaji and got the address and called Dev and Dev went there and got Nandini.
NT scoffs at her and says bravo Geet what a nice work you did then walking toward her she says but tell me one thing that didn't you realized in your stupid brain that when papers of the properties are signed in my name when now I own everything then it does not matter what you did. Dev asks her scoffing at her... So tell me NT... do you have full assurance that the whole property is in your name. NT furiously walks to him and says of course there is no doubt about it. Maan veerji himself has signed this property papers to me so it means everything is mine now. Maan looks at this all drama.. Geet softly smiles at NT's back. Dev gives NT a sarcastic smile and shakes his head saying no not everything... Incredulously NT looks at his face with total unbelief. Dev says with a full accents.. only those things which belongs to Bro. Geet looks down. Maan looks at Dev with a frown. NT shouts at Dev saying stop this nonsense Dev... this mansion... this property everything belongs to Maan Veerji.. Dev smirks at that saying loudly NO as before some months Bro has made Geet 51% partner of everything. Adi and dadima had smile as they already knew about it. Maan looks at Geet's face who was standing looking at Dev with soft expressions. Dev continues so if you wanted the property in your name you needed the signature of Geet and not of bro. NT's mouth hangs open hearing this truth. Maan looks at Geet and Geet lifts her eyes to look at Maan just simple soft expressions and they both keeps on looking at each other.

Geet standing in front of Maan... her back to him as if she is standing there as a unpenetrable wall protecting him from everything and tells NT.. with a storng voice... this is my family and the enemy of my family is my enemy. Maan looks at Geet's back and her strong voice talking to NT. Geet adds her full name saying the enemy of Geet Maan Singh Khurana. NT's eyes as if looks like big soccer ball.

The best ME so far..
As Maan's total misconception was washed away on the day of fasting there was a smooth communication between Maaneet.
Maan seems to be so much relaxed with Geet believing that she will not misunderstand him or force herself on him. Actually she started to fascinate him.
That was evident when he simply walked in her room to save her from rolling off the bed. He did not hesitate to touch her and steady her and also adjust the pillow for her.
When the he suddenly came upon his wedding pictures this time.. he stopped and looked at them standing with her without saying anything... He looked at her teary eyes and could read her love for him. He saw the pictures and himself that how happy he was with her.
In the party He acknowledges the praises of his wife from his guest by giving her the look though it was not the lovely-dovely look but he still looked at her.
Then he informed her that he would go and change his outfit. He shows her that courtesy before walking away to change
He shows his trust by signing the paper of the deal without even giving a single glace at it telling her that if she has seen it then it is ok with him.
Yes indeed MSK was changing as Geet so confidently told dadima.
Then came the dreamy dance.
They both looked at each other when the dance started as if they both feel that they needed to be with each other for the dance..
When Geet came in front of him she stopped her dancing and waited for him to take the initiatives. and He did.. Holding her hand he placed that on his shoulder giving her right to touch him and then when she did he touched her by sliding his palm on his waist and also took his rights to be with her
Then he took her other hand and led her in the dance looking directly in her eyes and reading her emotions without being annoyed by it. He respected her emotions and swayed her with him and did the slow dance number. He gave her honor as his wife by dancing with him on his birthday.
Geet waited for him to give her the rights. Though he gave her the right to put her hand on his shoulder she just did the dance as he led her not taking any advantage of any body movement. She kept on looking in to his eyes trying to read what was in it and before she gets swayed by his sheer magnetism and could not control her longing for him, she pulls herself out of it and walks away. Making him realize that though she wants to feel the love of her husband so desperately but she is keeping her promise and would not crowd him.
The last scene with NT was great. NT did a great job with her dialogues and performance.
I love the fact that Geet kept her expressions hidden and did not let NT know that she is two steps ahead in the game. It was essential that NT confess her ploy otherwise it will not take a minutes to blame it on Geet and also Until Dev and Nandini come she has to keep her expressions guarded fooling NT that the game is still hers. So NT went and disclosed her game making Maan realized yet another fact that he did not listen to Geet and dadima regarding NT and gave her shelter. Looking at Geet though he did not find any I told you so glare. Though Geet knew that Dev has gone to rescue Nando she kept her under the false impressions and let NT confess the whole kidnap episode in front of all least NT turns the table on her and Dev and blame both of them for framing her. No very wisely Geet kept her expressions simple so that NT may gloat and confess everything and that Maan would know that NT has played dirty taking the advantage of amnesia and all her scemes may be exposed totally.
Dev's entry with Nando was sensational. But the response of the family to see Nando unharm was not good enough. Every one knew that she was kidnapped so the family should have run to her. Lucky mamaji Geet they did not respond rightly.
The best explosion was from Dev declaring that Geet is the owner of everything and not Maan. That even surprised Maan. He looks at Geet who looks at him without giving him any attitude. Adi and Dadima had winning smile cause they knew that long back.
I think the ME promo dialogue NT scoffing Geet not being the DIL of Khurana will come on Monday and Maan's stepping up for her.
I think the paper Jugnu Mama got signature of NT would have a better use. Cause those papers looked like of legal qualities paper and there were two papers. Now why would Mama keep two papers for one small signature and why would he select the 2nd page as he turned the first page.
